Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis is a 2017 Avon Impulse publication. Super short, but cute holiday novella-Pru and Finn are tying the knot, but Finn’s brother, Sean, is the one who is nervous. He managed to get the B&B that Pru wanted for their big bachelor and bachelorette bash and is determined to see that everything goes off without a hitch. He never dreamed in a million years that he would meet Lotti Hartford at the B&B. Sean and Lotti shared...

PRE-ORDERAmazon US * Amazon UKIf anyone can make me like Holiday romances it's Jill Shalvis. Holiday Wishes had a great mix of Holiday cheerfulness and steamy romance that had me captivated from page one. I loved that there was a bit of a role reversal in this story. Sean, the one that usually wants a hook-up and nothing more, now wants something with more meaning than a quick fling, while the woman he has his eye on and who he thought would want...

4.5 - "You go ahead and give ignoring what's still between us your best shot... I'll wait right here." Stars!Christmas would not be the same without at least one offering from Jill Shalvis, and lucky us we get two in 2017, following on from Chasing Christmas Eve; Holiday Wishes gives us Sean O’Riley’s story.Sean is Finn’s younger brother, the brother who no one has any expectations of, and expect nothing from. Finn being the elder brother a...

Initial ThoughtsThis was a nice story. I really liked Sean and Lotti together but do wish that we would have been able to see just a bit more. ARC provided by the publisher via Edelweiss. Full review to be posted soon.

Holiday Wishes was sweet, heartwarming, and had an oh so perfect ending! I was surprised with how much was packed into this second chance novella! And I was surprised again with how quickly I connected to the characters and was invested in this storyline. So I definitely wasn't ready to say goodbye to them, but thankfully I'll get to see them in the future books of this series. He had to laugh. “Lotti, when I first met you, you were in PE cla...

I had just finished the previous book when I saw that I had this one too, so I just had to keep reading. Love love love Sean and Lotti. He's been fun to read in the other books and she's hilarious and together they're adorable. I loved that they have a history and that what they want in the present is completely opposite from what they had. Plot wise, it moves pretty fast, especially since it's just a weekend. The angst is at an all time low and ...

A wedding weekend getaway to a quaint little inn in the country. How fun! And awkward when the inn keeper? Turns out to e the lady you lost your virginity to years earlier and who may be pretending to have no clue who you are because, yeah, you fucked thin...

Release Date: November 7, 2017 Genre: Holiday Romance NovellaAnother enjoyable read from Jill Shalvis with the perfect amount of romance and Christmas cheer. While I do wish we could have learned a little more about the couple and watched their relationship build over a longer period of time, the book works. The couple and the budding relationship is strong for a novella and the read is perfect for the holiday season. Holiday Wishes is a recomm...

This review was originally posted on (un)Conventional Bookviews Holiday Wishes was a sweet, tender novella in one of my favorite Shalvis series, and I loved to see this more mature side of Sean. Story: While Holiday Wishes is a quite short story, the feel of the Heartbreaker Bay gang is very much present. The group of friends and family are away for a weekend of bachelor and bachelorette party for Pru and Finn. All organized by Sean, to the amaze...

I have been having good luck with novellas lately, which is weird, because I usually feel like they don't give me enough story, but I was amazed with what Shalvis accomplished in this book. Who? Sean, the serial playboy, who was suddenly feeling lonely and wanting more. Lotti, a serial monogamist, who kept herself emotionally unavailable in order to protect herself. What? Sean and Lotti were each other first loves, but Sean was still reeling from...

If you’re in the mood for a quick novella that has a Christmas theme, then HOLIDAY WISHES may be what you are looking for. Add to those themes some second chance romance and you should be winning. What I found was that HOLIDAY WISHES was light, a complete story but it didnt knock my socks off. I was pleasantly entertained and mildly interested in the characters but no more. There was predictability and insta-convenience. Now, HOLIDAY WISHES is ...

After reading Chasing Christmas Eve earlier this fall, Jill Shalvis ended up on my must-read authors list, especially when the crew from Heartbreaker Bay is involved! So when I found out that Jill wasn't just giving us just one but TWO holiday themed books this year, I was BEYOND excited! How could we possibly be that fortunate? As it turns out, we could in fact be that lucky and even more so, because Holiday Wishes? Yeah, it's a whole lot of ado...

With a wedding for Pru and Finn in the works, a bachelor/bachelorette party is planned. Sean and his ‘crew’ head to a Bed & Breakfast for the weekend for a little fun and relaxation before the big event. Everything was falling into place for Sean to show Finn that he is capable of handling the task of all of the wedding prep. Until the group walked up to the check in desk of the B&B…..Nothing could have prepared Sean for the blast from the ...

Holiday Wishes is a novella that's part of the Heartbreaker Bay series. It' a sweet, funny and sexy second chance romance for two people who were each other's first love. Sean and Lotti reunite in the most unexpected occasion. Sean never expected to find the girl who was his first love at the front desk of the B&B where his brother is having his joint bachelor/bachelorette getaway. But there she was, still with that smile and ignoring they knew e...

Holiday Wishes (Heartbreaker Bay) by Jill Shalvis  Love never goes according to plan.  People grow up, drift apart and all that remains is a broken heart.  What happens when the one that got away, decides to come back to stay?  Trouble!  Holiday Wishes is tearfully funny, emotionally stunning and hard to resist like the sweetest of honey.  For Sean and Lotti, what if, becomes why me.  Ms. Shalvis  pulls out the charm on a sleigh ride to...

Hearbreaker Bay is one of my favorite series. This one was a story of the one that got away and now they're stuck in a B&B during massive rains and mudslides. Sean and Lotti have great chemistry, and it was fun to see all the gang together for a wedding. The story could have been longer to see more of the relationship. It's a very sweet story of finding love again with the one that go away.

Holiday Wishes is a novella set in the Heartbreaker Bay Series and what a great novella it is! 10 Years ago, Sean and Lotti lost their virginity to each other. Lotti moved away soon after, but not before telling Sean she loved him. With letters and phone calls from Lotti left unanswered by Sean, she eventually moved on. But neither of them ever stopped thinking about each other. Now Lotti is running her family's B&B in the Napa Valley. When Sean ...

Ten years ago Sean O’Riley and Lotti Hartford shared a blissful night of passion, then she made her feelings for him known, and Sean didn't utter a word, leaving things awkward between them. Which ultimately caused them to part, a Sean has regretted it everyday since. Now he finds himself standing before her, and watching her heartbreak all over again, only this time he isn't the one doing the breaking, and he wants nothing more to be the shoul...

A perfectly sweet and sassy holiday novella featuring Sean O'Reilly, younger brother of Finn, who reunites with his first love who just happens to be the innkeeper at the B&B he books for his brother's bachelor party. While short, Shalvis sells the instant connection between Sean and Lottie by establishing their back story as teen lovers who just didn't work out at the time because Sean was a teen ass who just lost his both parents and Lottie was ...

In high school, Lotti was the ultimate good girl while Sean was the bad boy. One night, she was trying to comfort him (I guess?) and they lost their virginity to each other. Since then, Sean has pretty much just been bed-hopping while Charlotte (she's grown-up now) has been a serial monogamist. They've met again because Sean reserved Lotti's B&B as the place to host his brother and all of their friends for his brother's wedding. Now the two are f...

I would like to thank Avon Impulse for my e-copy.Holiday Wishes is about the Sean setting up for his older brother's, Finn, wedding. Sean has planned everything and the crew of friends are staying at a B&B in Napa Valley for the bachelor/bachelorette weekend before the actual wedding. This book was cute, but not my favorite of Shalvis’. I loved seeing more of Sean and getting to meet the one that got away from home. Lotti was perfectly likable and fit Sean nicely. What I didn’t like about this book was I didn’t really connect with the characters. I know it is a novella so there isn’t a lot of time, but I’ve read other ones by Shalvis and this one doesn’t quite get to me the way the others do. Overall it is a sweet ...

Sean has a tender ego, "'wasn’t all that great,’” he was echoing to himself. “Yeah, I’m going to need you to explain that.” Lotti isn't one for surprises, "...The last thing she remembered was . . . well, riding Sean like a wild bronco. But she was alone in her bed..." I liked this little novella I loved Sean and Lotti.

What a delightful read! I truly enjoyed the story and did not feel any part of the story was rushed with the book being a novella. This book will have you smiling and getting a little warm with the rekindled relationship so beware of reading in public (like the doctor's office, ahem, only me?). A pleasant addition to the Heartbreaker Bay series!
