Black clover is really picking up steam. This arc was pretty good. There were a lot of fun character moments and some great action. We get to learn more about the Black Bulls and how many of the wizards powers work. The last pages in this volume will take your breath away. Tabata is starting to make this manga feel a bit different from what you have come to expect from shonen series.

4 starsArt for battle sequences was kind of sloppy, but this was still a fun readfull reviewThe battle in the underwater temple rages on! The Eye of Midnight Sun appeared abruptly on the scene, in the form of Vetto. Part of a group of powerful magic users known as the Third Eye, this guy is Trouble! Can any of our intrepid heroes stand against him?!And the answer to that is – it doesn’t look like it! This entire volume is one big fight scene....

Black Clover volume 8: Despair vs. Hope throws us headfirst into the battle in which the Black Bulls and the Priests of the underwater temple team up to take down Vetto, the beast magic user from the Eye of the Midnight Sun. But with mage after mage failing to take him down, two members we previously wrote off as useless begin to shine. Let’s break it down.Asta and Noelle struggle a lot this volume. The fact of the matter is that even though th...

This volume is where it solidified my love for this story. Talk about simultaneous character development. I like how the focus are equally distributed to the multitude of characters. And the fact the the main protagonist is still the center of everything , but the author made it that it's not too overbearing. Kudos to this volume.

Whew...this volume is just one big fight that last the entire length of the book. It's like reading Naruto or One Piece. Up and down goes the intense raging battle and you don't wanna put it down.

Following the action sequences for this volume was pretty confusing. Also, it all focused on fighting one mysterious dude who I don't even recall from the previous volume.I'm looking forward to when the anime comes out in October so that some of this might get cleared up.

This series continues to be interesting not because it's made up almost entirely of tropes and themes lifted whole-hog from other, similar titles, but because it manages to use them well enough that it doesn't matter.Full review eventually appearing on ANN.

Man, book 1 sucked and 7 volumes later it’s some of the best action scenes I’ve read. So good.

Well, don't judge me, I binge read this in one day. Typical shonen, very troupey, tbh, but since i'm quite a fan of this genre, so it doesn't matter much. This series is fun and uplifting. It is unbelievably predictable, but the characters are too lovable that this can be overseen. I'm intrigued to know more about the other members of black bull. I'll just be Chamy, chilling around and eat all the food that i like. 3.5 stars for this series for n...

The whole volume centers around fighting Vetto. It gets everyone currently in the Temple game involved. Not letting Yami get involved is kind of a lame way to force everyone to "power up" but whatever... because Noelle finally learns an attack spell!! To defend her new friend none the less. She could be so powerful if she could gain confidence in herself. Kahoko is bringing out something of a better person in her and I like seeing her not acting ...
