November Fairyloot ♥ More pictures linked below ♥BOOKISH THINGSHoly shite balls! I loved this freaking book and I have a new favorite author and I hope the rest of the books in the series are just as good! I love some bad arse woman in books. I had about 20 gifs of bad arse women to go with this statement but we will just go with a couple or so.... =D This story is about Eliana and Rielle. This is told from both of their stories, one from the...

4.5 Stars!! This was REALLY fun, especially in the first 50%. I'll definitely pick up the sequel.Only minor spoilers below - nothing big. Let's start with the prologue because holy crap that was fantastic. Way to suck me in, Claire. Anyway, we're thrust into an intense birth-and-escape scene where Queen Rielle delivers her daughter and shoves her into the arms of a young boy-Simon- telling him he must escape and save her life. Simon basically wit...

Release date: May 22, 2018This was a really fun read! There are a lot of location names that sound vaguely like Game of Thrones names, some almost sci-fi stuff, and a LOT of magic, castles, princes, and adventure. There was even a character who completely reminded me of the Darkling. The story kind of felt like some roller coaster blend of epic elements at times, so I was pretty entertained. The diversity was great to see, too!Rielle is kind of a...

FURYBORN will go down in YA history as one of the best fantasies, among the likes of Kristin Cashore and Leigh Bardugo. It is a book you try to force yourself to take slow, to savor, but also a book you can't make yourself put down. Honestly, it is absolutely marvelous

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. This book. So far my 2018 read list, though only two books deep, has thoroughly impressed me. BUT THIS ONE ESPECIALLY!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who’ve read even just a few of my other reviews, you know that I generally like to add my favorite quotes from the book. Sometimes I find that even in a book with AMAZING writing, I will become so caught up in the story that I get to the end only to realize that I have highligh...

I got this ARC of Furyborn and I could not have been happier! It deserves 6 stars and I just wanted to forget the world, my duties and read it! “The queen stopped screaming just after midnight. Simon had been hiding in her closet, fingers jammed into his ears to block out the noise. For hours, he had crouched there, knees drawn to chest, head bowed. For hours, the queen’s rooms had shuddered in tandem with her screams. Now, there was silence....

I absolutely LOVED Furyborn. Being the first book in the trilogy we had to learn the world and meet the amazing cast of characters.I really loved two timelines. One, the story never got boring because it kept switching from Rielle to Eliana and back. I did like Eliana and her story more then Rielle. Eliana is a strong character who made a life out of what she got. I felt like Rielle didn't think about what she was doing most of the time and that ...

I’m so conflicted in my opinions on this book, on one hand I loved it, it was really original, the magic was great, the relationships were interesting, and the action was fabulous. On the other hand, I was bored for the first 50% and if this wasn’t a Buddy Read with Jess then I probably would have DNF’d it. I’m glad we kept going though, because that second half was so much better.I think the biggest problem I had with this was the consta...

Here's the thing, I love the two stories interwoven with one another, however, I wished that the chapters were longer so I could let myself fall into the story. Too often I was pulled out and had a hard time to get a grip on the characters again. Nevertheless, I loved the plot and the characters and I'm really sad I have to wait over a year for the sequel :/

I think it's finally safe to mark this one as read. I could NOT put this down. Furyborn is incredible. You will fall in love with Claire's writing, her characters, her world, the magic, and every single thing about it. I don't want to get too into it because it's still a while out, but add this one to your TBRs for 2018, people. It's THE fantasy you'll want next year.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and chose to review it. This in no way impacts my opinion. Actual Rating: 4.5 starsFull review to come closer to release date on Books and Ladders! But y’all this is one to go on your preorder list. The beginning was a little confusing but once I got into the rhythm of it I couldn’t put it down.
