SQUEEE!!! I just read this book by a completely new-to-me author and IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! It was like pure old-school indie romance heaven! The hero is an ALPHA sheriff who is grouchy at times but also incredibly protective, possessive, and SWOOOOOONY! And the heroine is a SINGLE MOM of a gorgeous little daughter who move into his town to start their lives over. MY HEART WAS RACING for so much of the story!! I LOVED these characters. I CARED for t...

4 stars! The Coppersmith Farmhouse is a book that has been recommended to me multiple times by many friends. I’m glad I made the time to read it. It was a great debut novel! It had a strong alpha male, a single mom, it was steamy, sweet, and had an element of suspense. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author! Just as a side note, I wish I would have read the book instead of listening to it. There was so much ‘feedback’ in the au...

Not often you see a cover of a romance novel without a half naked man or woman on it! This is a pretty cover. It's a great representation of the story. It has great composition. Interesting typography and makes great use of graphics.I enjoyed this one. It was a super sweet read that had a KA vibe to it. It was well-written and nicely paced. It had some hot sex scenes. It had a bit of mystery (to be honest, I knew who the baddie was from the MINUT...

*Disclaimer: This "review" is primarily a rant about the MCs. The first and last paragraphs sum up my feelings on the book as a whole, everything else is pretty much just me venting ;)This is me hiding because everyone seemed to love this except me :( The writing was solid, and the plot wasn't bad. It did feel a little formulaic: Jess is the manwhore everyone wants, while Georgia has only been with a couple guys. He's gorgeous, while she's plain ...

5 Effing Stars New town. New house. New Car. New life. I loved everything about this story, you may say right book, right time. I have had this sitting on my kindle for ages and when I hit a book funk this week, I thought why not? Great decision!!!! Georgia/Gigi was a strong and independent woman who wanted nothing more than to make a safe loving and fun home for her daughter Rowen (who is super cute). So when an elderly man who she had befriende...

Rather enjoyable small town romance. Looking forward to reading more from Devney Perry!

This book has reminded me of why I love to read! From 5%, I became hooked and my interest never stopped until the end! Some people may not like the amount of drama that went on; but I found it didn't bother me at all. It wasn't stupid, immature drama... it was stuff that would happen in the lives of a sheriff and a nurse!!!This book takes place in a small Montana town... Georgia is given a farmhouse to live in by a good friend who recently passed...

3 StarsOverall Opinion: This was an ok read. I thought it felt slow at times, but I never skimmed. I also didn't necessarily like either mc, so that was a big issue for me! I do agree with a GR friend that it had the same feel as a KA book, but it just didn't quite get there for me in meeting its potential. The h's daughter was cute, and her relationship with the H was fun to read. I also didn't necessarily mind the side characters, so I might gi...

3 to 3.5 stars.A nice read. Bit predictable. Hero was a bit of an ass in the beginning ... and stayed that way for quite a lot of the book. Just could not accept her opinions or reasonings. Realised who the "bad guy" was early enough ... a little bit obvious, I thought.Good for a debut novel. Will probably check out more if she continues the series. The kid was cute enough. Saw some reviews mentioned that she wrote a little like KA. Yes, I could s...

Reminded me so much of a KA book in a good way. I could actually understand what this hero was saying, though, so that was good. Cough, cough, Knight. Jess is the kind of man who enters a woman's life and takes over every aspect of it. Controlling and motivated to do whatever he needs to do for the heroine. And I really enjoyed his assholeness in the beginning; it really made me laugh! BUT, the conflict completely dissolved at %20. Like there was...

Narrator Review: The narrator was excellent. Great voice and easily distinguished between the characters.Story Review: Loved❤loved❤loved!I love the caveman Alpha, but it sure is hard to find a book with one that doesn't have an over-the-top storyline right along with it. This was the perfect blend of a great story, strong, likeable heroine and my favorite type of alpha. The best part is, he wasn't being a caveman just because he could. He had ...

This book was fantastic!!!!It was captivating from the very first page. The quality of writing was superb and the plot intriguing and thrilling. It had the perfect mix of intense chemistry, sexy alpha, a little kid, and let’s not forget a good amount of suspense and intrigue. I still can’t believe that this was a debut novel – BRAVO Devney Perry – this book won’t be the last one I’ll be reading from you.I think I should mention that e...

4.5 Stars I very much enjoyed this story set in the small town of Prescott, Montana. The writing was great and the story line solid. The hero was a bit too pushy or alpha for my tastes yet it worked. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I absolutely loved this book! It had romance and steam with a side of suspence to keep things interesting. I read it on one sitting! Jess and GiGi's were great characters-Jess was alpha to the max. He started out as a major jerk. He made assumptions about the heroine that simply were not true. It didn't take him long to figure out he was wrong and he immediately set out to make things right. His alpha tendencies were OTT but I personally like tho...

5 swoony starsAlert!!! Up and coming brand new author! Prepare to be amazed and to swoon over sheriff Cleary. If you read: “I opened my mouth to ask what was going on but the words got stuck in the back of my throat. My brain short-circuited. All of my attention was focused on the man standing right in front of me. Seated on my stool, I had to tip my head way back to examine his face. I blinked a few times because this man was so ruggedly handso...

Audible Review: Narrated by Ava Erickson and Joe ArdenI absolutely loved the narration of this book! The voices were so clear and precise. I’m relatively new to audiobooks so it’s taking some time for my ear to adjust to listening. I had no trouble at all with this duo. Ava’s voice was just perfect for the character and Joe’s voice was mesmerizing. I will definitely be looking for more from these narrators!First, let me say that this book...

*****5 Amazing EFFING stars*****I absolutely loved The Coppersmith Farmhouse and I have found a new favourite author in Devney Perry. I loved her writing style and the fact that she does not go overboard with details like describing what every single room looks like down to all the nic nacs or what every single item of clothing looks like as I find this can get repetitive with some authors (naming no-one). I also loved that even though this is to...

A small town vibe that I liked.I can be a little hit or miss when it comes to stories set in a small town. I think I know what the "hit" factor is (which is actually more about acknowledging the "miss" factor). I seem to like small town romances that are missing...narrow-minded, judgemental, snooty, crabby and persnickety know-it-alls. The first sign of Mr Crabby (the old fart who has an opinion on everything) or Mrs Pensnickety (the town tattler...

I LOVED this book! Gigi is a single mom who works hard as a nurse and raising her four year old daughter. Three years ago, she befriended Ben, an elderly patient who was all alone and he became like family to her and her daughter. After he passed away, she finds out he left her his farmhouse in Montana. She decides to move with her daughter to the farmhouse and start a new life. She loves the farmhouse and the small town but has one problem, Jess...

Lots of hype on social media regarding this new debut by Devney Perry. There has also been mention that Perry’s writing voice is comparable to Kristen Ashley’s. In general, maybe so, but on the whole, not in my opinion. I found it a bit softer with less of the grab factor. (Note: I run hot or cold on Ashley's books, so this was not a significant point in my decision to read this one.) If you’re a big fan of small town sexy romances that inc...

I think this book was a great start to a series. I have seen so many reviews of this series come by lately, so of course I had to give it a go myself. I am glad I did, because it was a very nice read ;)What pulled me in most though, was not so much the story, but the writing style. It was very pleasant, and even though there were parts that made me roll my eyes a bit, I could not stop reading. For me that's a sign to keep my eye on this author !G...

Pretty awesome read! OTT alpha hero, sweet single mom h, steamy sex scenes and completely safe! This book had me hooked from the start and also had me very interested in the upcoming books in this series! Great start to the series and can wait for more!

Where to start!! I liked it but didn't love it. This book should have been perfect for me. An OTT possessive alpha paired with a nice and occasionally sassy h, mix in an adorable kid, and this book should have been a big LOVE for me. But something about it didn't totally pull me in. It had a KA vibe to it and I love KA. I'm guessing this is a "me" thing as a lot of my friends really liked this one.

OLD KRISTEN ASHLEY, IS THAT YOU?NO..ITS DEVNEY PERRY.''WHO IS DEVNEY PERRY?'', YOU ASK..I DON'T KNOW...but i love her.. Because this book..the feels and the chemistry and the mystery came together in a pretty red bow and IT WORKED..The author made old fashioned writing like this, seem so easy..when it really wasn't.BUT, WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE..The Heroine's insecurity...I mean yea, a little bit of doubting yourself here and there is normal but she k...

I did not gel with this book on the whole in any shape or form. I wanted to like it, indeed until 25% I held hope that my issues would be worked through. By 50% I realised that this was a hero that I could only hate, he could not be redeemed in my eyes in any way. He was manipulative, cunning, controlling, had temper issues that were scary and I didnt believe his connection with the heroine. The heroine gave off vibes of not being okay with his c...

4 Rowen adorable stars!Georgia is a single Mom who moved to Montana and start a new life with her daughter Rowen (beautiful name).  She works at the local hospital as a nurse and lives in a farmhouse given by a dear friend.  Jess Cleary is the sheriff in Prescott, Montana.  He used to take care of the farmhouse and treated the former owner like family.  He made assumptions about Georgia tricking an old man out of his possessions.  He was a ...

3.25 starsA sweet, small town romance with a twist of suspense thrown in. I struggled to get into the book the first quarter, but once it got going I enjoyed the read. I'll definitely be reading the next books, I need to know what crawled up Felicity's backside.
