This was beautiful and heart-warming!Such a cute collection of drawings the artist gave to his wife in their wedding anniversary. He sketched a new drawing every day for a year. This was delightful and shows you the positive side of marriage. The illustrations are adorable and have an authentic feel to it.Reading this collection was refreshing, and I highly recommend checking it out!*Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providi...

I'm not really sure what I expected, but this is, in a nutshell, a man's homage to his love for his wife. It's sweet and cute, but nothing I would ever purchase if I picked it up in a bookstore.Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.Well, on the one hand this was gorgeous, and I loved the fact the author/artist drew/painted something every day and then gave it to his wife as a gift (and then later is going to publish it as a book). But on the other hand I expected sketches, but instead the book is filled with various forms of art. From digital to painting to sketches to cartoons. From wikipedia: “Sketch (d...

This was cute as a present for the partner of the writer, but I think it’s not a great present for anyone. But still it shows you love and that makes it quite lovely. ♥💑 This was cute as a present for the partner of the writer, but I think it’s not a great present for anyone. "Us" was drawn by an artist and photographer named Curtis Wilkund about his beautiful marriage to his wife, Jordin. There are about 100 sweet little sketches he did daily one year. There is so much love in these pages, that make me want to cuddle up with my love. I received this as a complementary copy for review, but after reading this book, I feel it so near to my heart. I know I will treasure this book for as long as I live. I hope this collec...

*thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*4 stars. Its so nice to see a positive side of marriage. This is done sooo well! The drawings are exceptional! This is such a cute and sweet collection of drawings. This shows the playful, loving, sweet, simple side of marriage. THIS is what marriage is at its best. If I had to describe my ideal marriage, it would be like these drawings. This book is...

Cute but nothing much of it. Pictures with a sentences, describing a couple life in a daily basis. Pretty much a homage from the man to is wife, which, like I said, is cute, but not much relevant for a reader. The illustration style is simple, but really cool, I liked them a lot!

I received a free ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange of a review.I've never "read" a book like this, but I realy like it, I love the variations of the style of the drawins. This book is super cute and funny.
  • Rebekah
Sweet daily sketches of daily life in their marriage. I enjoyed the variation in drawing style, but wished there was more depth to the content.

Lovee++++++I loved this soo much. I started reading and stopped only when I was done with it. Being a picture book it was a quick go through, naturally.I loved how varying the drawings were and did such a great job in portraying the feeling of those moments that the couple and/or the author went through. And making me feel their love and respect for each other. (The Drawings of) Us was whimsical, sweet, fun and a breath of fresh and relateable ai...

Meh. If anything I was most impressed with the variety of styles and effects used on these pages - some of the finished product is quite wonderful, but at the same time the scratchy sketches are too common. More importantly, the book is too personal to the couple involved and I really didn't engage. I don't know how this blew up to be so popular, as it's really not the kind of thing I'd like to look at.

An artist who decides to draw a picture every day for a year, and ultimately ends up documenting small moments of his marriage through a whole year. Very sweet (almost too sweet at times) and cute. I'd love to see a series where artists from all different walks of life decide to a picture each for a year - it'd be so interesting to see how each person approaches this type of project. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC!

I received a free ARC of this book from NetGalley for an unbiased opinion.I was not a follower of Wiklund's work on any social media platform prior to "reading" this book, so I was not entirely sure what to expect. What I found was a beautiful collection of sketches, paintings, and even one Q-tip outline, depicting his life with his wife. His love for her. US was stimulating, inspiring and beautiful. Would definitely make a great gift for a new c...

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-galley in exchange for an honest review. This book was cute. The drawings were sweet and very personable. It shows how much a married couple can love eachother and how a marriage can and should work. But I feel that this was more relatable to the author on a personal level to his wife. It was sweet none-the-less but not something I would purchase.

This feels like the type of book you'd find in a Hallmark store, something chosen as a gift. It's sweet, but it's rather short. I got the feeling I was hanging on the edge of the pool merely getting my feet wet, and I wanted so much more. I enjoyed the variety of drawings and will definitely follow the artist to see what he does in the future.I received a free digital copy of this book via NetGalley.

This was absolutely adorable! A year of their marriage in different types of drawings. I felt like it was very original and sweet. The only thing that I felt kept it from being 5 Stars was that it depicted their marriage as all sunshine and rainbows, and not enough reality.**I received an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**
  • LilistarReads
Us is a sweet tribute to the author and artist's marriage to his wife. This has definitely given me all the feels! The different art styles throughout kept it interesting and it shows how important the small things in a marriage or relationship is.*ARC received from publisher via netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

Cute concept. Doesn't translate well outside of the author and his wife though. Wonderful drawings and a stellar example of the authors artistic abilities.
