Shiva's aunt begins to forget her place and then.... - what is happening with the larger black creatures in this story? Who is the mother? Why is the curse affecting Shiva differently? Can't wait for the next volume.

This. Was. So. Good. Okay, I don’t know what I’ve been expecting, aside of tea parties, cakes and cooking, strolling the forest, and all the other delightful moments this story offers. Also, I knew Shiva of course would struggle to cope with the happenings on the Inside because seriously, anyone would and she’s still such a young child, not to forget. But this volume left me behind speechless for exactly three times, especially the end was ...

I continue to love this fantasy manga series. It is just so different both in art and story than many other fantasy manga series. This book is an excellent continuation of this mysterious fairy-tale like story. In this volume Shiva and Auntie return to Teacher. Auntie reveals Shiva’s past to Teacher. Shiva, Teacher, and Auntie finally come to terms and try to live as a cohesive family. However, those that are cursed have a horrible fate in store...

Beautiful, creepy, well-paced addition to the series. I am always left wanting more and to share this with anyone who enjoys gothic ominousness of any age.

Shiva, Teacher, and "Auntie" have returned to the other side to Teacher's house. Shiva is coping with what happened in the last book when she told a white lie about being touched, and now she thinks she spread the curse to her Auntie and is the reason why other cursed beings were killed. It's revealed that those who are cursed cannot die (when they completely transform into the monster they are immortal?) They also forget about who they are. "Aunt...

Poor Shiva is a girl who is stuck on the outside of a wall where human society hides from a curse where she has been taken care of by an outsider she calls Teacher. Now her Auntie whom she was waiting for has been inflicted with the curse and returned with Shiva and Teacher to his home where Teacher experiences a new sensation when he sees them together. However the curse tends to consume so you'll have to read this volume to see what happens in ...

This gorgeous series continues to impress me with each volume. The artwork is exquisite and the story remains a quiet yet compelling tale. This particular volume ends on quite the cliffhanger, so I'm anxious for the next release!

so damn sadand the auntie . . . well, I just put my face into the book at that last page and cried. I am so glad Nagabe includes those cute little bonus strips after the end, with just enough humor to ease the pain a little.

A much more emotionally charged volume, we begin to see some development with our friend ‘Teacher’ and get more insight into what the curse actually is. A good continuation, but was a five month wait really worth it?
  • Kae
This story is getting deeper and more twisted and I LOVE IT. No spoilers. Just read it.

Not happy, but sweet with a kind of chill overcast. As ever, I look forward to finding out more about this world
  • Forthright.
Unsettled by the revelations. Staggered by these developments. And pie.

This volume was really sad, and still confusing about the curse and its origin. But I can help to want to know more from this enchanting and dark tale

Returns to a more quotidian mood. All of these books end in a savage cliffhanger; I wonder how this child is supposed to keep it together after (view spoiler)[witnessing so many traumatic events. (hide spoiler)]

    And now I'm sad...
