Ahhhhh Nantucket in the summer is bliss! It is a lovely place to vacation. It also serves as the perfect place for a wedding, the beach and a murder! The Otis-Winbury is going to be one to remember! The groom's family has arranged for the wedding to be the event of the season. A wedding that people will be talking about for years to come! And it will be remembered but not for the reasons they want it to be. In the early morning hours on the day o...

The Queen of the "Beach Read" is holding onto that crown for one more year!!!!!The Perfect Couple has something I always love from an Elin Hilderbrand book - nods to characters from her old books. My two favorite books of hers are The Castaways and The Blue Bistro and this one has tons of characters from The Castaways!!!! (Note - you do not need to have read that one to enjoy this one!) A wedding is happening on Nantucket, but on the morning of, ...

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll repeat myself every single summer, but summer doesn’t officially start for me until I’ve read the latest Elin Hilderbrand novel. While I have several authors on my summer must read list every year, hers are the books I look forward to the most, she really is the queen of the beach read and The Perfect Couple is her best book yet! While Hilderbrand’s books definitely aren’t always sunshine and coc...

Amazing. Such a page turner. I loved it and couldn't put it down. With these ARCs, I do know that I'm spoiling my summer reading experience by not having an Elin book to devour out on the lake but I can't help it. I'll read every word she writes as long as she keeps writing. The Perfect Couple was the perfect blend of family secrets, murder mystery and the perfect Nantucket setting. You could picture every scene, every room in Summerland. In this...

Somehow, Elin Hilderbrand has written her best book yet. (It's difficult to say what's a "best" book out of two dozen incredible novels, but this is right up there at the top.) Along with the things you've come to expect from Elin: gorgeous setting, sumptuous descriptions, complex and misbehaving characters -- she throws in a murder mystery. We also get some recurring characters from one of my other favs of hers, The Castaways. THE PERFECT COUPLE...

Expertly crafted. Elin brings you right to the edge, so that every character is suspect, everyone has a motive. The novel begins with the discovery of the body of the maid-of-honor on a private beach by the bride, the morning of the wedding. From this point we are taken on the investigation that covers the entire book to the very end, where I guarantee, you will never guess what actually happened. I tried, all through out this page-turner, and fai...

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. There is no better way to start your summer than with Elin Hildebrand. Love her books. We are on Nantucket for a fabulous wedding. Celeste and Benji seem like the ideal couple until the maid of honor is found dead the morning of the wedding. Naturally all the secrets of this family unravel. Great story and interesting twists. Fabulous read!

I adore Hilderbrand’s books. This is definitely in my top five favorites of hers. I seriously hope there is a sequel to this one. I need to know more about what happens to Celeste. I am now craving lobster and want to purchase a pair of Nantucket reds. I would love to visit Nantucket one day but if I am not able to I love doing so vicariously through Hilderbrand’s wonderful books.Netgalley provided me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

You know summer isn't too far away when a new Elin Hilderbrand book is coming out. Although this book focuses on a wedding being held on Nantucket it is not your typical love story. Hours before Celeste and Benji are to be married in an extravagant affair, the body of the maid of honor is found floating in the bay. Was it an accident? Was it murder? That's exactly what the Chief of Police is trying to find out. This book is told with alternating ...

I always like Elin Hilderbrand’s summer novels and this one is no different. The books moves back and forth in time as we all arrive on Nantucket for the wedding of Celeste and Benjy. Nearly everyone has a secret, and most are revealed during the wedding weekend. It is a quick and fun read, and I appreciate the publisher and NetGalley giving me the opportunity to be an early reader in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley.com for the opportunity to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.Every summer I eagerly wait for the new Elin Hilderbrand Nantucket novel and this one is her best one yet! I love the fact that she has incorporated a death/possible murder in the plot which is a terrific change from her usual fluffy island love. What I loved: The mixture of “locals” and “summer people” is so well ...

*Disclaimer: I won this book form a Goodreads first-reads giveawayElin Hildebrand is the queen of summer reads with a twist. She is one of my favorite authors so when I won her latest novel, The Perfect Couple, I was elated! Nearly every book I have read by her has taken me away to the island of Nantucket. Because she lives there, she describes everything so well and you can picture yourself walking past the shops and eating in the restaurants. A...

This was an outstanding read--my new favorite by Elin Hilderbrand! I was lucky enough to read it on the beach over Spring Break, which really added to the experience. All of the characters were fully developed, and I loved the mystery! Hours before Celeste and Benji's Nantucket wedding, the maid of honor is found dead. I was hooked right away, and I couldn't put the book down--there are so many secrets that are revealed in a series of flashbacks ...

Every year I look forward to Ms. Hilderbrand's new summer read, and I think this year is one of her best. I was so surprised when I realized the book was a murder mystery set during a lavish wedding in Nantucket.Of course Nantucket is a staring main character, but the book switches through the perspectives of the police, the wedding couple, their parents, their friends and other relatives, and the victims, as well as switching back and forth in t...

The night before Celeste and Benji’s extravagant wedding in Nantucket, the maid of honor is found dead. As the cops interview the wedding guests to try to piece together what happened, they uncover secrets and lies. Hilderbrand is well known for her compelling and fast-moving beach reads and this novel is engaging, with a propulsive plot and compelling characters.I liked this a lot! It's exactly the kind of thing people talk about when they tal...

This is another good summer read from this author who provides a getaway to Nantucket in each book. Celeste is a unique character, a loner who is more at home with her zoo animals than people. When she meets Benji, a member of a wealthy family, who is solid and attentive, she goes along with a relationship which does not give her the zing in her parents’ marriage. A murder occurs the day of her wedding, and we get to hear different takes from a...

Wow! Another amazing book! I won this ARC off Goodreads and was so excited to sit and read it. This story will suck you in from the very first page. I read it in one day! These characters are a crazy bunch and just when you think you know who’s with who it changes and shocks you! Another number one seller when this hits the stores in June!!

Another great summer beach read by Elin Hilderbrand. This book has everything: a rich family, a huge wedding, affairs, and a murder. From the first page to the last you will try to figure out who the murderer is but it’s a tough one. Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I adore Hilderbrand's novels and this one is a perfect beach read for summer! It starts out with the murder of the Maid of Honor the night before the wedding which changes everything as the entire household is in an uproar. There are many suspects as we come to learn that with so many secrets lurking there is, of course, no perfect couple and the human condition leaves us all vulnerable. This is fast-paced and fun, yet also poignant and filled wi...

I loved this couldn't-put-it-down story of a couple who gather with their family and friends on Nantucket for their wedding. The morning of the wedding, the maid of honor is found dead and Hilderbrand switches off perspectives, following the wedding guests and detectives as they sort through everyone’s secrets to find out what happened. Despite the possibility of murder, this isn't a dark or gory book. A perfect beach read.

Celeste Otis met Benji Winbury when one of her co-workers went home sick and Celeste had to take over a lecture. Celeste was the assistant director of the Bronx Zoo but she was stuck giving a lecture on snakes to a small group of visitors. Benji was there with a girlfriend and her young daughter. After the talk, Benji chatted with Celeste and eventually asked for her phone number. Soon Benji was free of his girlfriend and dating Celeste full time...

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC! I am an avid Hilderbrand reader, and the setting of Nantucket entrances me. After visiting Nantucket in 2016, I can appreciate all the landmarks even more, and I crave reading about this magical place. The plot of the story really seemed to stray from her normal love stories. The story started out as a murder mystery, and like all murder mysteries, the novel challenges the reader to question what he or she know...

It is the 4th of July weekend in Nantucket – and life is going pretty much as expected. The Winbury wedding is just around the corner ----- until the morning of the nuptials when the bride finds the body of the maid of honor floating in the ocean. Needless to say, this puts a stop to the wedding. This book was a surprise to me. I have read several others by Elin Hilderbrand. Like The Perfect Couple, these books took place on Nantucket. However ...

This could be my favorite Elin Hilderbrand book yet! I loved this one and hated to see it end (although what an ending....) I have officially begun my summer! How can she write one terrific book after another? Each of the characters in this book were so well developed and the plot so perfectly drawn out, back and forth in time, and of course, Nantucket and those lobster rolls! When I finally got to visit Nantucket a few years ago, I felt as if I k...

The Perfect Couple is the PERFECT summer read! Get ready to go back to Nantucket to meet new characters - and old (I love the weaving of older characters into new novels). The story tells of the impending wedding of Celeste and Benji. Another worthy beach read for the summer! Told from different points of view, this is a story that will keep you guessing until the last page. A Nantucket wedding, a famous author, men and women behaving badly and just who is sleeping with who? The author keeps us on the edge of our seats, not sure who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. And much like a large family, secrets are being kept. Some life changing, others life ending. But who...
