So two things to start with. One, I thought this was going to be a novella, but it turned out to be a full-length book. Two, I'll admit I was a little skeptical about how this author was going to make a paranormal book work in connection with the Masters & Mercenaries world. It turns out; it worked very well because the book was set in the Demonica Underworld world. <-- And I'll just say again this was my first foray into a crossover series and I...

4.5 stars!I loved this book! A crossover between Larissa Ione’s Demonica series and Lexi Blake’s Masters & Mercenaries, this book is a fantastic combination of alpha male, strong heroine, chemistry, banter, dirty flirting, romance, sexy time and paranormal badassery. It’s a fun read with a fantastic set up, and I loved it! Demonica is my all-time fave PNR series, so of course I was excited to dive back into the Demonica Underworld – a spi...

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I can't lie.  When I saw that there would be a paranormal romance in this set of crossover novellas with Lexi Blake's world, I was skeptical at best.  How would those two worlds merge?  Would I believe it?  I kind of wish I would've read the more recent Lexi Blake's stories that have been intro...

Her Guardian Angel is a crossover that mixes Larissa Ione's Demonica Underworld with Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries world, it's actually part of a collection of crossover novellas in the Masters and Mercenaries world that is designed to introduce readers to a range of new authors and worlds. I have to confess I've only recently discovered Lexi Blake's writing so I'm new to the Masters and Mercenaries series (it's DEFINITELY on my radar now ...

I really do love the Demonica Underworld and this fantasy world that Larissa has created, I honestly can't get enough. I understand that these are novellas and they are supposed to be short but Larissa does such a great job developing these characters and describing a world that pulls you in that you honestly don't want the story to end. These Crossover collection series are based off the Grim reapers kids and since he has so many then you can on...

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is part of the Masters and Mercenaries crossover series that is being released by a number of super talented authors. I am so happy to be reading these books and reviewing them. I am huge M and M fan, and this was another great addition to the series. I have not read the Demonica Underworld series before, but intend to remedy that as soon as I get a chance. I was gra...

4 Star Review of Her Guardian Angel This is part of the current Lexi Blake Crossover Collection and written by an Larissa Ione who is a new author to me.I am extremely familiar with Lexi Blake and happily admit that the Master & Mercenaries series is one of my all time favourite series. With that being stated, I was anxious to see how these books would meld into the M & M world.Declan Burke is a professional bodyguard for McKay-Taggart. He takes ...

New perspective...Well I thought this installment was always going to be the hardest for me to immerse myself in because it combines contemporary and paranormal world series’.... I was not sure I could suspend my belief to embrace this story...but I was wrong because this crossover was just as compulsive reading as the others in the collection; the Demonica Underworld and M and M worlds married together seamlessly. Declan Burke works for the ub...

This book completely blew me away. I was stunned at how much I loved it! I have never read a book of this genre, but I will be reading more, lots more. Larissa Ione has a new fan! Suzanne D'Angelo is some sort of earth angel in charge of protecting Declan because he is meant to do something important for mankind. There are different levels of angels and demons (I won't even attempt to explain that...it was too much to fully understand as a first-...

Declan Burke isn’t happy when he’s pulled off the assignment he has been prepping for in the jungle by his boss Ian Taggart to act as a babysitter for a rich client who has a stalker. He’s not a fan of the overly wealthy since his own family pretty much ignored him his entire life. But his client, Suzanne D’Angelo doesn’t act like the socialites he’s dealt with in the past . . . and his attraction for his out of this world.Suzanne D...

This is kind of what I was afraid of when I heard about this Masters and Mercenaries crossover, a world outside of McKay-Taggart that just didn’t fit right with the overarching tone I’ve come to know and love in that series. I’m no stranger to the world of PNR and angels and demons are one of my favorite subgenres in that realm. However, there are so many moving pieces in those worlds it’s hard to jump into it, especially in the context o...

4 stars. A great addition to the Demonica world! This book is a crossover with Declan, from Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series, and Suzanne, from Larissa Ione's Demonica series. Declan works for McKay-Taggart in security. Suzanne is a young angel, specifically a Memitim, which is kind of like a guardian angel. She has just gotten her first Primori, the person she is charged with protecting, and it's Declan. Being a newbie to this situati...

I have a confession to make. I've not read anything by this author before now. (I know, shameful, right?!?) As much as I love paranormal romance, and as many times as I've looked at this author and this series, I've just not gotten around to it. After reading this story, that is an oversight I'm going to have to correct ASAP! The good news is, this book was written in such a way that I didn't feel like I was lost or had missed anything (other tha...

Her Guardian Angel was a quick read - but it had everything I love about the stories in the Demonica world. Suzanne and Declan's story brings quite the drama and a lot more. Suzanne isn't happy in her life as memitem - sure she feels the duty, she wants to protect and keep her primori, Declan, safe - but more than that she wants to live her life. She wishes she could focus on her dreams rather than what she knows she must do, what she's called to...

While I'm not usually drawn to supernatural genres, Larissa Ione blew me away! I was quickly lost in Declan and Suzanne's story! I enjoyed the way she knew him because she was sent to protect him, while he had no idea there was good and evil all around him. I thought this book was a great addition to the McKay-Taggart stories! Larissa took her own spin on protection and who was guarding who. It was against the rules for Suzanne to be as close to ...

Next up I read in the Master and Mercenaries crossover series I get to is Her Guardian Angel by Larissa Ione. This is my first read by this author. I will read some paranormal romance books, but not a whole lot. They need to grasp my attention and make it somewhat believable. Larissa does that with bringing Suzanne and Declan together. This story had me hooked from the get go. When Declan thought he was the one protecting, Suzanne turns the table...

Of all the crossover stories in this series, this one I was most curious about.  It not only crosses over already established series but also genres and I wondered where Larissa Ione would take it.  She brought Declan to life and stayed true to the Demonica Underworld series. This story is action packed. Suzanne is such a great character.  She dreams of a different life but knows she has responsibilities and humans that depend on her.  Declan ...

Boring main coupleIdk... this wasn't my favorite entry in the Demonica series. I don't know if it was because of the cross over thing or what but I really was not feeling this one. I think I just kept reading for the the secondary characters - Azagoth, Hawkyn and the other memitim. There are a few loose threads still hanging at the end regarding the other characters so I was a bit disappointed there. This novella didn't inspire me to read the oth...

Usually paranormal isn’t my thing but I actually really enjoyed this book from the first page to the end. Suzanne is a earth angel and goal is to protect Declan a human but Declan thinks he has to protect Suzanne a woman that is getting under his skin. Excellent crossoverI love everything in the Demonica series. This particular cross over book with the Masters and Mercenaries universe had enough of the characters I already loved from Demonica and also enough Easter eggs to completely geek out on. Declan and Suzanne completely rocked as a couple. I also loved how the storyline, in general, moved forward. I can't wait to see how it all turns out!

This was a fantastic paranormal romance read!!! It sucked me in from the beginning, and kept me there with the twists, turns, and suspense throughout. Oh, and let’s not forget the steamy scenes between Suzanne and Declan. The plot line was amazing, and I loved learning of this new “world” that I definitely plan on exploring more of! This story is definitely a must read!!!

Wow. I absolutely loved this story. This book took me into a whole new reality while still allowing it to work with Lexi Blake’s MT world. Declan was super sexy and Suzanne was great. I found myself enjoying this world and am dying to read the rest of the books in this paranormal series. This was a well written novella and I definitely recommend it.
