First I want to say that this is a book that I was really thrilled to get the chance to read. I fell in love with the cover the first time I saw it and I was intrigued by the blurb. And, I'm glad to say that the book was just as good as I had hoped it to be. My Deat Hamilton is a massive novel, almost 700 pages and it took me around 2,5 days to read it. I was lucky enough to have a weekend off and let me tell you that it's the kind of book that t...

You can read this and all of my reviews at Lit路Wit路Wine路Dine.Prior to reading this book, I was not wrapped up in all of the Hamiltonmania. I have not seen Hamilton on Broadway. I have not listened to a single song on the soundtrack. That has all changed, my friends. I am a believer and it鈥檚 all because of this book! I鈥檓 stalking Stub Hub and entering the Hamilton lottery on a daily basis. I鈥檓 on the verge of spending a ridiculous amount ...

I received an advanced reader鈥檚 copy of this book from Goodreads Giveaways and I鈥檓 so glad I did! After seeing Hamilton on Broadway a couple of years ago I, like the authors, wanted to know more about Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. Much to my chagrin, there really weren鈥檛 any books (historical or otherwise) about her. Eliza wanted to make sure that Alexander鈥檚 story was told and I was eagerly awaiting someone to tell hers. Stephanie Dray and La...

This was a wonderful and fascinating book. It鈥檚 called a novel, and I don鈥檛 know how much was true and how much was fiction. I imagine though that it is mostly true. Since I am not a history fanatic, I knew very little about the details of the Revolutionary War, and found a lot of new information. Definitely worth reading.

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. My Dear Hamilton captured my attention and my heart. 聽And that's coming from a woman who hated American History classes. 聽I wish history books in school were written this way. I might have enjoyed it a lot more. 聽My Dear Hamilton tells the story not of Alexander Hamilton but of his wife Eliza Sc...

I received a copy of this book through the Goodreads giveaway program. This was the best book I have read in quite awhile. Some of my favorite books both fiction and nonfiction have to do with the Revolutionary War and its figures so this book already had that going for it. The characters in the book are so vivid and multi-faceted. I thoroughly enjoyed going along with Eliza's struggles to understand her complicated husband and their relationship...

I took a break from my Christian genre to read this book. What a historical rich book! I don鈥檛 know how you can read this and not desire to go dive into the history surrounding the founding of our government! Fortunately, I have had studies which already revealed the incredible instrumental role Alexander Hamilton played...and with the rise to fame of the musical Hamilton he鈥檚 someone everyone wants to know more about! And it鈥檚 well deserve...

Easily my favorite book of 2018 and I highly doubt anything will knock it out of that #1 spot. I'm left with goosebumps. Such a rich book. Chock full of history and so engrossing. If you love history, you'll love this book. I'm left respecting Hamilton the founding father but truly loving his wife, Eliza.

Thank you goodreads giveaways for an advanced copy of My Dear Hamilton.I do not hand out 5 star ratings often, but My Dear Hamilton deserves 5 stars - or more, it was my favorite book of the year! I was at first intimidated by the length - over 600 pages - but they just flew by when reading. I love how Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie makes history very interesting and real. They tell the story of Alexander Hamilton and the founding of the country...

My Dear Hamilton takes readers into the world of a prominent but less known founding figure of American independence. Very few have ever imagined or even been curious about Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, wife of Alexander Hamilton. Here authors Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie have woven a tale that speaks of a young woman whose life literary revolved around the fight for independence. It was no surprise that she would find love within its confines as w...

My Dear Hamilton is both an intimate portrayal of the strength, courage, and grace of one of our nation鈥檚 founding mothers and the engrossing saga of the birth of a country. Richly detailed, beautifully written, and impressive in its scope and heart, this is historical fiction at its best!

The last line of chapter one in Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie鈥檚 latest novel, My Dear Hamilton, sets the stage for this compelling novel about the forging of America: 鈥淏ut how, I wondered, could a daughter make a difference?鈥 And what a difference Eliza Schuyler Hamilton made. Not being a student of American history鈥攖he Canadian curriculum is, not surprisingly, more focused on Canadian matters鈥擨 found both American鈥檚 First Daughter a...

My Dear Hamilton is a powerful read. Authors Dray and Kamoie have once again written another seamless story about a significant woman whom history has long ignored. Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton has been known as merely the wife of American giant Alexander Hamilton. This historical novel pulls her out of the shadows and gives her center stage. Her life spanned some of the most integral parts of early American history: the frontier, the Revolution, ...

"My Dear Hamilton" is the story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, a woman who came from a storied family who goes on to marry one of America's founding fathers. It would be easy to define Eliza as simply Alexander's wife but she was so much more than that. I have been obsessed with the Hamilton musical for awhile now and Eliza has always struck me as a particularly interesting character. It was this that originally made me interested in reading this bo...

Eliza Hamilton assumes her rightful place as one of America鈥檚 founding mothers as she guides first her husband and then her fledgling nation into the annals of history. My Dear Hamilton is historical fiction at its most addictive!

Thank you to William Morrow for the Advanced Reader鈥檚 Copy. My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie is a richly detailed, epic work of biographical fiction. It details the life of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, the wife of Alexander Hamilton, one of America鈥檚 founding fathers. The book spans Eliza鈥檚 life from just before she meets Alexander to her death at aged 97. It is hard to find books about the founding mothers and the important ...

After America's First Daughter, my expectations from this team were high -- but they were exceeded in every way as I read this truly impressive book.It is an incredible, surprising, and altogether lovely tribute to the woman who stood beside one of the most unknowable, irascible, energetic, and passionate of the many people who contributed indelibly to the foundation of this nation. I am left both humbled at the accomplishments of the Hamiltons, ...

There is nothing better than a great historical fiction novel about a strong female lead. I hope Stephanie a...

I received an advanced copy of this book through the Goodreads giveaway. I read The First Daughter by these authors and loved it. I was so excited to receive this book. It did not disappoint. I loved reading about Eliza Hamilton and how she was a part of the revolution as much as the men. I will say I was not as big a fan of Jefferson when I finished this book as I was when I finished these authors previous book!I'm excited to see what the come u...

Although it was a work of fiction, the authors did an excellent job of researching and depicting the life of this fascinating woman. Having read this, I'm anxious to read the book Hamilton to learn more of the man and the times.

I loved this latest book from Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie. It tells the story of the life of Elizabeth Schyuler Hamilton with wonderful historical detail. I loved that it included much about her life before she met Alexander Hamilton as well as information about her life after he had passed away. She is an American hero in her own right for the way she served and supported her husband. This book does a beautiful job of showing how she was a s...
