As much as I enjoyed the “Elite Guardians” series by Eason, this one is even better! The family dynamics seem like a wonderful cross between the O’Malley books and the Blue Bloods tv show. All six St. John kids went into some form of public service, from law enforcement and FBI to a surgeon. I loved watching the family dynamics play out, and I’m hoping we have a story for all six of the kids.Isabelle and Ryan are a great couple, with a ni...

If you like warm fuzzy romance stories this book is sure not for you, with nonstop action from the beginning to the end, and don’t get too comfortable in your shoes, you won’t see who wants to wear them. The author starts this book with the murder of fellow officer Isabella St. John’s partner, and lifelong family friend, Kevin. From there the violence goes downhill, and why, we soon find out, or maybe it takes to the very end to learn, and m...

2.5 out of 5 stars. I did enjoy this story, though not anywhere near as much as I thought I would. So I’ll start out with the positives. I enjoyed the storyline for the most part. It was hard to figure out and there were a lot of different things going on, which left for a wild ride. I enjoyed the characters, the sibling element and the family dynamic. I appreciated the idea of an entire family committed to making the world a better place all i...

Whew! Another intense release from Lynette Eason!First off, can we talk about this cover? I. Adore. It. I, of course, had to have the paperback. And after I ordered it, I camped in front of my mailbox for two days until it arrived. (The benefits of Amazon Prime . . .)The characters. Right away, I loved Izzy and her crazy, awesome family. The banter between the siblings throughout reminding me of my own large, crazy family. Izzy was a very sweet, ...

Lynette has done it again! Just when I think her books can't possibly get any better, they do! Oath of Honor reaffirms why Lynette is on my list of all time favorite authors. I loved both Izzy and Ryan as main characters and it was a lot of fun to watch their romance develop. And I just have to say that as a fan of the show Blue Bloods, I have been so excited about the similarities between it and this series ever since I first heard the Blue Just...

The Blue Justice series is going to be fantastic from start to finish, if this book is any clue. The family dynamics are the best thing about this story, though that isn't to say other stuff isn't also good. The intricacies of the plot, various story arcs, and the many characters that played major roles in the story were all well pulled together. I really appreciated the faith thread and the great amount of action scenes: two things I look for in...

This book kept me up way longer than I planned on, I was exhausted but I just couldn’t put it down until I knew how it ended! From start to finish I was sucked into the story, trying to figure out how the pieces fit and who to trust, right along with Ryan and Izzy. There were so many twists and unexpected turns that it wasn’t until just about the last second that I finally put it all together.I loved both Ryan and Izzy, they were both great c...

Another great Lynette Eason novel read. Longer review to come.

What a stunning beginning to a new series! I was held captive from the first few paragraphs and was not let go until the ending, which I did not guess at all! Izzy St. John sees her partner gunned down at a stake out that went sideways and from then on, things escalate at a dizzying speed. Many of her siblings are in law enforcement also, including her mother and trying to solve this murder has attracted the attention of a decidedly bad element. ...

..Wow...so good!! Lots of action - interesting how it all fit together!Several intense scenes - very suspenseful! A page turner for sure!Great family dynamics - the St. John siblings are very close and find the time to meet for meals even though they are all busy, working professionals. Light romance - cute and believable. Izzy and Ryan are adorable.Ended well - epilogue especially sweet. Set up the next book nicely. Will definitely continue this ...

Oath of Honor is the first installment From Lynette Eason’s Blue Justice series. I think this is a fabulous start for the series. I was hooked from the first page and just could not put the book down. It has so much adventure, action, and suspense, that my head was spinning. I look forward to the next book in the Blue Justice series. Great read!5 stars. I most definitely highly recommend this book. I received this book from the publisher. This ...

Lynette Eason is widely popular romantic suspense author, who I have read every single one of her books and novellas. She knows what the fans of romantic suspense want. Non-stop action with a hint of romance. She is heavier on the suspense versus the romance, so if you prefer more romance than suspense or prefer fifty-fifty than she might not be the author for you. As for me, that is what I like. I think suspense should be the majority of the foc...

Dedicated to the men and women in blue. To all of the law enforcement workers who risk everything to keep us safe.I loved everything about this book, from the moment it started it just clicked with me and I'm so grateful for stories like that. We get to meet Izzy and her siblings right away and it was wonderful :) Then something happens to Izzy's partner and childhood best friend, Kevin, and I cried for two chapters. The writing is just that good...

Warning! This book is filled with nail biting suspense. What a thriller! I'm worn out. Every page is filled with action. This book is for any suspense/thriller fan who likes romance thrown in too. My only problem? I have to wait until the summer for the next installment. This book was a great start to a new series.*I was given a copy of this book by the publisher. My review is my honest opinion.

This book was one that I couldn't put down! I was drawn into it immediately. It was certainly a page turner!I loved both Izzy and Ryan. I loved how they worked well together. I also loved the family dynamic of Izzy's family. I'm one of those people who catch the occasional episode of Blue Bloods. This book (and series) reminds me of that show.I received a copy from the publisher for free in order to give my honest opinion. My thoughts and opinion...

Oath of Honor is hugely thrilling, combining mystery, criminal investigations, politics, gang wars, shootings, and suspicions that hit far too close to home for the main characters. Oath of Honor begins a new suspense series from Lynette Eason, Blue Justice, which promises to deliver both mystery and romance. Officer Isabelle St. John knows what it takes to commit her life to serving others - she's just one more in a large family of fellow law en...

Eeeeepppp!! A new Lynette Eason series featuring a law enforcement family. Eeeeeeepppp!!!! This is me fangirling over a reading future of stellar romantic suspense. Because now that I've finished Oath of Honor I am more than ready for Called to Protect, the next book in the series but it doesn't release until the summer. Sob! But it also features a K-9 angle. Yay! Okay -- deep breaths -- focus on the review at hand not on a book in the future eve...

Fast paste novel that is impossible to put down until you've finished it.The St. John squad is a close-knit family that you just can't help but love.Izzy St. John is brave and compassionate and hungry for justice after the murder of her partner. Even though we get to hang out with Kevin only through a few pages, the emotions described are palpable and you can't help but feel as if it's your loss too. And this is what kept me turning the pages, th...

The only thing better to me then picking up a new book is to pick up the first book in a new series from an author that has consistently written some of the best Christian Suspense Fiction out on the market. I always stay up-to-date on Lynette Eason and new books that she has coming out as they’ve proven to be the best there is. This new one, “Oath of Honor” definitely did not disappoint.A great new series filled with characters that will g...

"Oath of Honor" is a Christian romantic suspense. I liked the main characters as they were kind, thoughtful people who acted realistically when stressed but showed grace and forgiveness to others. Isabelle's partner is killed while uncovering something big, but they don't fully realize what he uncovered until the end. It turned out to be a lot more complex than it initially appeared. Izzy worked with her partner's brother to investigate the backg...

Perhaps in a different mood I might have finished this book. But it just wasn't working for me on any level. The writing is OK but not top notch. There were details that just drove me crazy - like the woman climbing down a ladder, missing the next-to-last rung so "she dangled, feet swinging" Then of course the hero grabs her waist and rescues her. Ok, if you mean she slipped the next-to-top rung, she's too high for a guy to grab her. The lower on...

OATH OF HONOR is the first book of a new series by Lynette Eason. I absolutely LOVED this book. Izzy is a sweetheart, smart, active, and yet clueless in someways. Ryan is hurting so bad. He loves Izzy but her brother warned him away, and now he's lost his only two brothers -- both murdered -- and his whole family is walking through a fog. Izzy was there and witnessed the murder of Ryan's youngest brother, but she saw someone else whose presence t...

Full review on Faithfully BookishWhat I most admire about Eason's style is the exemplary quality of her female characters. Isabelle St. John is both fierce and feminine. Each woman in this story has an authentic balance of strength and grace. The St. John family is a large yet intimate crew of public servants. A drive to protect, defend, and heal is evident in each family member's profession and compassion.Eason's portrayal of law enforcement is ...

Oath of Honor is an explosive beginning to a brand new series by Lynette Eason. It is action packed from the first few pages till the end, with twists and turns, unexpected bad guys and great characters you can't help but root for. With this beginning the Blue Justice series promises to be just as exciting and entertaining as Lynette's previous series' which have all been spectacular in my opinion. Eagerly looking forward to the next book, coming...

3.5 stars A solid start to a new series. I think I liked it more than the Elite Guardians series. Izzy was very professional and I liked that Ryan was involved without overstepping (due to conflict of interest). I will say that there are many characters and it was hard to keep everyone straight at first. I’m sure there will be more about these characters in later books, but for a first book, it was very overwhelming.

When I read the summary I knew that it was a book that I wanted to read. I started it Christmas evening. Y'all. I read the entire book in one sitting. I was hooked after a few pages. Izzy had me so drawn in that I could not sleep until I finished the story. I loved the storyline with the two families and their connections to Law Enforcement. I am a huge fan of Law and Order SVU, the Chicago Series and always try and solve the case. With this book...

"Officer down . . . two words that should never have a reason to be used together."(23)With intensity and anxiety inducing scenes, Oath of Honor by Lynette Eason starts the year of reading for this book lover with a bang. The first book of the new series, Blue Justice, I'm instantly captivated by the vibrant dynamics of the St. John family. That first scene is fun and gives readers the first impression of what I presume will be our heroes and her...
