4.5 STARS!!!This was such a great paranormal read of good v's evil. The story follows Mara and her protector Theodore as they prepare for a battle of Enchanted v's Iniquitous and what a story it is. This story is filled with suspense from the very beginning and ends the same way. There were laughs, bickering, friendships and enemies between these characters and it was both amusing and frustrating at times. There were times I wanted them to act mo...

I've read pretty much all of this author's contemporary books, but I've only read one of her paranormal series'! I knew that she was supposed to publish this book a few years ago and then she ended up not doing so, so I was very sad about that! So it's fair to say that I was very excited when the author announced that she was publishing this book and the other two books in the trilogy! I signed up for the Blog Tour as soon as I saw one and I star...

I came, I saw, I read it, and I came to the conclusion that this book has about as much emotional range as a rock. That said I am giving it extra stars for a somewhat unique plot line. The whole problem stems from my inability to get invested in the characters. And it's not like they are doing anything to make it so I will. The text moves quickly without making appropriate cues and observations about feelings. It is all about feelings. And detail...

This book is phenomenal. All the time I read contemporary, and mostly NA romance that I forgot how fun and amazing paranormal and YA books can be.The whole story is captivating and mysterious. It pulls you in and you can't stop reading. I loved the characters, both main and supporting. They are well developed. There were moments when I wanted to punch Mara in the face, but at the same time I can totally understand where she's coming from. I want m...

Genre: Paranormal RomanceHoly cow can Ms. Smeltzer conjure up a beautiful story! Follow Mara (doll face) on her mystical journey of discovering who she really is with the help of her protector Theodore (Theo).Follow the battle between the Enchanted (good) vs the Iniquitous (bad) to see which side comes up victorious. I wish I had my own “magical powers” to see into the future, because with the cliffhanger we are left with – dang I need some...

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book. Enchant is a YA paranormal romance about Mara Pryce. She's just an ordinary seventeen-year-old who's just graduated high school. At her graduation, a mysterious, grey-eyed guy shows and suddenly disappears. Mara is convinced he's just a figment of her imagination. Then one day he returns and ...

I wanted every last one of the Iniquitous to bleed out beneath me. I wanted their blood to coat my hands and stain my clothes. I wanted them to cower at my name. " Enchant by Micalea Smeltzer, is a YA paranormal romance. Mara is a young girl not knowing the power that she wields within her. And as her birthday grows near, she is thrown into a world she never knew existed. Just as Mara is adjusting to her new life, she is in grave danger. The Iniq...

‘Enchant’ is a beautifully written YA paranormal romance. Though author Micalea Smeltzer makes use of some familiar YA tropes (teenage girl unknowingly about to come into her powers on her nearing birthday and is thrown into the hidden supernatural world she never knew she was born into) this book holds its own within the genre. I love the witty banter and teasing between main character Mara and her protector, Theodore. His younger sister, Ad...

My mind is a mess of thoughts, suspicion, and assumptions! That ending just blew my damn mind. The story starts with a mystery feel. Our leads, Mara and Theo, at first I wasn't so sure about them, their perceived relationship, Theo came off as over confident and a jerk without much depth and Mara a bit naive and detached. However, the more I read the more I knew I was wrong. There was more, A LOT more to both of them, and their behaviour is more a...

This book was just okay. I actually struggled to finish the whole thing. Maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea, though supernatural is usually something I enjoy. One thing that irked me about this work was there was too many shower scenes. Why was everyone always taking a shower? The main character took two showers in the first chapter alone. The story was too fast past, it went from one thing to the next with out building up any suspense. I feel li...

No, it's not out yet, but I was able to read an advanced copy and I loved it! I've always been a fan of Micalea's work, but hadn't read any of her paranormal books before this one. Now I need to go back and read the others. Add this to your TBR immediately if you're a Micalea fan or a paranormal fan. You won't regret it.

Digital ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest reviewLook, I knew what I was getting into when I read the blurb of this book. It's the sort of premise that dominates paranormal books (particularly those of the last couple years). You know, 'normal' girl who meets a mysterious (dark, hot and usually insufferable) boy who tears apart everything she knows, and shows her that she's actually -insert paranormal creature here-. Not just any...

This was a quick and satisfying book that focuses on the romance more than anything, however we do get to see some fun magic. I liked that we got to see Mara actually training and working hard. Too often in “chosen one” stories, the lead character barely lifts a finger and they’re just naturally gifted, but Mara, while still having a natural affinity, still puts effort in. I’m hoping she keeps growing and becomes a badass magical witch. A...

One part Cassandra Clare, one part J.K. Rowling. Three stars, but you know you want to read it anyway. It has the perfect brooding, yet totally steaming up the place, leading man. A capable female protagonist who might not have it all figured out, but she is dedicated to learning more. And these two collide in a show of sparks that cause little fires to pop up all over the setting of a gigantic, mysterious safe house that's just like the Institut...

I won this Arc in a giveaway. I was lucky to have won it. Why? Well because this was one Amazing book. It had me hooked from start to finish. The author did a phenomenal job with the story. I really Love Mara, Theo, Adelaide, and even Winston. Let me just say that this book was really good. It will keep you wanting more until the very end. In order for me not to spoil it for Everyone I’ll have to stop. Because I tend to say way too much. I will...

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a cheesy mix of Harry Potter and Hex Hall. But it was a good cheesy. Mostly because the relationships developed a little too quickly and unrealistically. Overall, it was a quick and easy read. I really enjoyed this one!

I absolutely loved this book. I love any type of romance so when Micalea posted about asking who wanted to read it early I jumped at the chance. Mara and Theo's story starts off kind of rocky. They were destined to be together, but couldn't. Their witty banter had me laughing throughout the whole book. I can't wait to see if there is going to be a sequel.

Cute and predictable but not irritating. Typical magic and love interest with mystery and thrills for this type of teen story. It was alright - nothing special, though...Note: I received a free e-copy of the book via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. Special thanks to the author for giving me a chance to read it
