Fumbled Hearts by Meagan Brandy

Fumbled Hearts

After months of refusing, I finally agreed to make the move to Alrick Falls. My family thought it was best - that a new scene would be good for me - and I was sick of having the same conversation. So here I am, and the plan is simple. Smile through each day and avoid her at all costs. It's perfect. Until the cocky quarterback comes into play. The last thing I want is his crooked grin and dark brown eyes focused on me. Yet here he is, constantly i...

Gotta start off by saying I cannot believe this is Meagan's debut book. It is EVERYTHING I want in a NA read. Kalani is a fierce, funny and somewhat broken teenager who has had to grow up way before her time. She is independent, loyal, smart and beautiful. I loved everything about her character and her backstory. Nate is the QB - seemingly the typical high school man whore, big man in town and perfect son. When the two meet sparks fly and the gam...

So if I had to sum it up...GAH!!! The devilishly handsome playboy meets the sassy broken girl and well, HOLY TIGHT FOOTBALL PANTS THIS WAS AMAZING!! I immediately fell in love with "Lolli" what can I say I'm a sucker for a gal who's an utter hot mess by all means of the word. Cocky Nate has no idea what wild ride he's about to be taken on. Opposite worlds collide in the BEST OF WAYS! The passion was consuming, the sexy bits were 🔥🔥 and the ...

This is a hard book for me to review. Parts of it I really enjoyed and other parts not so much. Lately I have been finding it hard to find books that hold my attention from start to finish but Fumbled Hearts definitely did. It was a longer read and yet it never felt like it. I would have even been happy to read more. It was kind of addictive even when there was drama. Sometimes there was way too much of it for my liking though. I found it hard to...

Brilliant debut novelThis book came highly recommended to me from one of my closest friends and I am so glad I listened to her and took a chance on this book. It is by far and away one of the best debut novels that I've ever read. I loved every single thing about this book and didn't want it to end!!! I am speechless in the best way possible and I don't know how I will be able to read anything else after this. It was just brilliant and EVERYTHING...

First and foremost, this is a superb NA book for a debut. This book was so good and kept me hooked till the very end. I fell in love with Kalani. Her story was so sad and I loved the kind of girl she was after her tragedy. Nate was super cute and a hunk. His focus on Kalani was so sweet. I loved how he handled her and gave her her space. The author has captured the essence of NA and this story had everything!!! Loved it!ARC generously provided by...

Wow. This is one of those books that had me gripped from the beginning. A poweful story line and you can not help but love Kalani. Full of sass but a lot of pain. The definition of independant woman. And Nate..... well you cant help but love him either. Playboy turned whipped. This story wrapped around my heart like a vice and i actually shed a tear towards the end. That was a feat in itself. Just amazing!

☆☆☆☆☆ 5+ STARS ☆☆☆☆☆Fumbled Hearts was such a refreshing read. I love it. Page after page, I couldn’t get enough. What a strong and a sure hit for new author Meagan Brandy. She sure made a fan out me, with her first book. I love her characters and how matured, they were for teenagers. Heroine Kalani is such a strong character. She was independent, witty, fun, sarcastic, bold and beautiful. I also love her unique name, even h...

What a fabulous debut novel by Meagan Brandy. This love story encompasses every emotion under the sun. Happiness, sadness, anger, redemption, angst, you name it you've got it! The fabulous part of Meagan's storytelling is she moves through all of these emotions flawlessly. Fumbled Hearts is Meagan Brandy's debut novel. This sports romance was flirty, full of angst and teen drama. This centers around Mr. Popular Manwhore Football Star Nate and the mysterious, holds nothing back newcomer Kalani(love the name). Kalani(Lolli) is the new girl in Alrick Falls. Forced to move to town for her senior year, she's here for the year and then gone. Knowing only her cousin, Kalani doesn't care if she makes friends or has any rel...

Fumbled Hearts was a duet novel by Meagan Brandy and I LOVED it so much! The author absolutely nailed this story and characters! Nate and Kalani story has completely stolen my heart. This story was everything I could have wanted and more in a NA Sports Romance. A broken girl with sass for days, a handsome playboy quarterback turn opposites attract up in the most consuming way. This book was a perfectly spun web of vulnerability, passion, and heal...

Review by: Candice Marie I really enjoyed this book! I love a good sports romance and this book really delivered! It was unique in that it wasn’t your typical girl pines for hot guy trope, and it was refreshing for it to be the other way around for once.I did find the characters to be a little young for my personal taste, and found it a tad bit unbelievable that all these 16 and 17-year olds were free to roam, get drunk, and go on lavish vacatio...

dnf ~ 10 %There's so much wrong with this book. I can't force myself to read on. The H has already slept with two different girls. Side note: We're on page 30 ....Both times the h sees him and makes some bad ass comments. Side note: She's not bad ass. Not at all.The h tells everyone that she's not like any other girl [insert eye rolling here]. She doesn't care about her looks but can't help admiring herself in the mirror (after some unnecessary t...

Debut Novel by this author and I was completely blown away by her writing and this story. I wasn't completely sure how I was going to like reading a story revolving around high school, but this story sucked me in and made me forget about the ages. I can't wait to see what's next from her.

5 FUMBLED HEARTS STARS!! This debut book was a touchdown in my heart. This story pulled on my heartstrings, it was so beautifully written with all the feels. Kalani is a beautiful broken young woman with lots of attitude. Nate is that hot high school quarterback that every girl wants and he plays the field well. I enjoyed seeing their stories be told, I could not read it fast enough. I can't wait to read more book by Meagan Brandy with her beauti...

There are moments in time when two souls meet, moments when destiny has played a role in the game of life. He was her light in the dark. She was his spark that set his heart and soul on fire. They had instant chemistry and when it erupted it was a smolder like no other. Kalani - by Hawaiian definition is sea and sky. She's a pixie that is feisty, has no filter, is a firecracker, and is broken almost beyond repair due to events that happened on he...

Where can I begin when it comes to this amazing book. I mean I was sucked in from the start all the way to the last page, and there is just so much that I want to write, but don't want to give anything away, because this is a book that you need to experience for yourself. It has been a while since I have found a book that has made me have all the “feels” while reading. And this is one that will get you to have your heart breaking one minute t...

A fantastic debut from Meagan Brandy. This book has some light hearted and hilarious moments along with some heartwarming and angst. From the very beginning of this book I was immediately engaged. The way the two main characters meet is hilarious and I found myself smiling and giggling. Kalani is a great character, she's sassy and speaks her mind. She's one of those girls that can hang with the guys and I love that about her. In most books its th...

3.5 starsThroughout the entire book, I was unsure if I was going to be able to finish it. It was very well written, especially considering this is the author's debut novel, and I liked the characters. However, it was so damn boring. I considered quitting at 25% (and it's not really a short novel), because I felt like nothing happened. Halfway in I started warming up to it, but by the end I was skimming again. Even though the story is set in high ...

I read that book as ARC and my opinion is sincere and just mine. For this book i just need more an more stars because it is so intense, sexual tension is it in high level. This book is so freaking hot and so heartwarming at the same time. I like her name, Kalani, she named herself Lolli. I just wanna be like her. She has a big mouth, not afraid of anything, she is sassy, kind but at the same time she has a big, wounded heart. I loved this debut novel by Meagan Brandy!A new adult sports romance with a couple from very different backgrounds makes this a fun and interesting read.Nate is the stereotypical high school jock. Captain of the football team, star quarterback, and the one all the girls want to date.Kalani is the new girl in school, with an IDGAF attitude, which I love. This girl has gone through more in her 18 years than anyone ever should in a lifetime. Because...

This book is simply amazing! The characters were very well developed and it made it easy to connect with each one of them. I enjoy books that focus a bit on other relationships such as family bonds or friendships and not only the romantic relationship. This book provided that and the banter between the characters was quite entertaining.Kalani's attitude and sass made me like her that much more and Nate's arrogance was a draw from the beginning.Me...

I absolutely loved this book. Its hard to believe that this is her debut novel. Even though I'm not that much of a football fan, this book really didn't have that much football in it but kept interesting to know why Kalani is the way she is. You get so lost into the teen drama and how everything gets twisted and turned on end. The character chemistry is wonderfully written. I would so love to see where Kalani and Nate go after this book because I...

This has to be one of my favorite debut novels I have read. If I had not known, I would not have been able to tell that it was a debut. It had everything you want in a NA romance novel. The characters are well written and well developed. I absolutely loved Kalani. I loved her smart attitude, her wit, he sass and her all around strength. I loved Nate's persistance, his charm and his humor. Both of these characters made this story and I fell hard f...

I won a copy of this ARC from the author on facebook.I was beyond impressed and excited to read this story. It was a breath of fresh air to read a story about a broken or I should say damaged girl that is only existing in this world and not really living it. The charachters in this story are so breathtaking and sincere. I loved all the supportong characters even the evil ones because they have depth and value like everyone does. Its incredible to...

It's hard to believe that this is a first time author. The writing and story line kept me riveted. The chemistry between Lolli and Nate was sizzling. I'm already lookingforward to and hoping that Parker gets a book. This story read so smoothly that everything around me disappeared and I felt as if I was there. The only thing I had a problem with is that these were high school kids in the story; and I just had a hard time with this age of kids doi...
