If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big (pixelated) surprise…The bears have invaded. Hopped up on magic bacon, with the backing of Big Toilet, they’re an unstoppable force of furious furriness – not even the army is a match for them! Only one man is naked enough to take them down, if he’ll come out of retirement for one last job: Shirtless Bear-Fighter!This comic could’ve gone either way. It might’ve been way too crazy...

note to self: buy this IMMEDIATELY!!

Shirtless Bear-Fighter is too sexy for this shirt...and pants for that matter too. In the vein of Grizzly Shark, this thing is so ridiculously over the top you can't help but laugh. It's one goofy, hairy heap of fun.Received an advance copy from Image in exchange for an honest review.

Packed with as many laughs as it is BEAR PUNCH!(es), Shirtless Bear-Fighter is the funniest Image comic i've read since the first volume of Rat Queens. When a rogue faction of forest bears begin attacking major cities across America, exaggerated male stereotype Shirtless leaves isolation to tackle the furry threat. Written by former comic editors Jody LeHup and Sebastian Girner, not everything in the story works (I could have done without the Hill...

Okay... I’m not entirely sure how to review this since it’s so ridiculous on purpose but I’ll give it a shot. What’s it about? When a bunch of bears start going crazy so the FBI tries to get SHIRTLESS BEAR FIGHTER to fight back and save the day!Pros:The story is surprisingly good and pretty interesting. The art is fantastic! Really fun, cartoony style that fits this book perfectly! There’s some great action scenes throughout! Lots of bears ...

Absolutely loved this one! I remember seeing this in the previews thinking, "Oh my gosh, what is this?", but I tried it and I got say it....its so gooooooooooood! So the story has Shirtless(An orphan raised from birth in the forest by a pack of bears, which he was later exiled. Now Bears are attacking cities and the government needs Shirtless to save them! This is a book that is very self aware, but at the same time it just wants to make you laug...

3.5 stars.Cute premise, and one that shockingly doesn't wear out its welcome by the end. ( Don't get me wrong, it's no "Watchmen", but it is some light fluffy entertaiment, and there's nothing wrong with that!)

"Sometimes God makes a mistake and makes a man...too much of a man."Enter Shirtless Bear-Fighter! A warrior paid in flapjacks to help stop the Bearrorists. And it just keeps getting better and better and better...Also - there's magic bacon. That's all you really need to know. This comic is bananas and I laughed my ass off every single issue. Tons of poking fun at all the typical cheesy movies and...well...just don't take it seriously and you'll hav...

What is this?! It's so ridiculous, reads as an over-the-top slapstick parody and has some glaring grammatical errors (or is that bear talk?)... but I liked it? Shirtless Bear-Fighter!, or SBF for short, plays up every hunky lumberjack stereotype - an outdoorsy man with a bushy beard, a hairy chest and uh a big [censored] (the way it is pixelated in the comic), love for flapjacks (not pancakes, mind you) and maple syrup, and scores bonus points fo...

In a world where bears run amok all around the globe, the world turns to one man.... SHIRTLESS BEAR-FIGHTER! Betrayed by the bears who raised him, Shirtless has vowed to fight ALL bears and protect the forest in this timeless epic adventure. Y'all, I was so excited when I received this book in the mail that I started reading it immediately. The bear punching action started only a few page flips from the cover, in all of Shirtless's naked, pixelat...

So much silliness and awesomeness packed in. Go into this book with childish abandonment and you will enjoy it immensely. If you go into it seriously then I can see how this book could be too much. I absolutely loved it and was laughing out loud throughout.

This was both profoundly stupid and completely delightful.

Just ludicrous and wonderful for it.You can read titles, right?!? What do you imagine 'Shirtless Bear-Fighter' is even about? Do you remember when we knew that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Badger, Flaming Carrot and the Tick were absurdist parodies of comics while simultaneously being some of the best comics at the top of their storytelling game? Well, this goes with those. It's hilarious and stupid and magnificent and filled with puns about bea...

Before talking about the actual book I should point out that this book is rated M for Mature or basically rated R and has plenty of potty humor (because the villain runs a TP company), Butt kicking, some dramatic deaths, and even some mutant man pig nipple action. So if you are sensitive be weary but if not then hop into the pool and get ready to experience the Bear Punch this book is about to give you. :)The book is kinda crazy and as Slate says...

I received this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway. The best way to describe Shirtless Bear-Fighter is as an inspired piece of goofy lunacy that delivers exactly what is says on the box. Raised by bears and sworn to protect the forest, a young Shirtless falls in love with a human and is cast out by his bear clan; when he later discovers his human love killed by a bear, he swears vengeance, vowing to fight bears wherever they may be. When super-...

Thanks to the publisher and Edelweiss for a digital review copy for my honest review. This one started out so strong-- the bear puns are on point, the satire of comic book tropes is pitch perfect, and the whole premise is so silly it's hard to go wrong. But some of it just wore on me, and after the first issue a few of the elements introduced just didn't speak to my sense of humor(view spoiler)[: namely, the endless poop jokes and the Hillbilly W...

Best comic series of 2017!Monstrously amazing entertainment with heart. I haven't laughed so hard in quite sometime - the sequence with Shirtless fighting in various cities in issue two was possibly my favorite moment in comics in 2017.BUT it's not just funny, it's ingeniously clever and genuinely moving. Then there's the art, colors, layout, covers, etc. all brilliant and the perfect match. I want all of my friends who are warriors for the envir...

This was exactly what I was looking for and I was sold on it from the very first sentence on the back. A full ride of bear related puns, ridiculous situations, and outlandish gags. Do you like bears? Do you like bear fighters? Do you like shirtless beefcakes fighting bears and bear related things? Do you like flapjacks (don't you dare call them pancakes)? Do you like visual gags that are just over the top enough to make you laugh? This is it for ...

*Galley received from Image*I waited so long for this series, I was very excited to finally get the chance to read it. And Shirtless's story delivered in many of the ways I expected it to. It takes ridiculous to a whole new, unashamed level of manly, bear-punching adventure. However, the volume felt weighed down by an immature brand of toilet-humor that just didn't appeal to me.It's distinct, it's amusing, it starts with manic absurdity and just ...

Wronged by the bears who raised him, Shirtless becomes a mighty, flapjack-eating fighter. From the description: "When wild-eyed, super-strong bears attack the citizens of Major City, Shirtless ventures into the human world to do what he does best...PUNCH THOSE BEARS IN THE FACE!" Completely ridiculous, over-the-top violent, and a lot of fun. [I received an advanced e-galley of this book through Edelweiss. The book is due out December 12, 2017.]

With a title such as this, you know what you're getting yourself into. This book had me roaring with laughter from beginning to end. The art is crisp and had no flaws from what I noticed. And surprisingly there were droplets of some wonderful messages to the reader. This comic is a wonderful, wild ride and we need more books like this out there on the shelves.

“He’s just a man...but sometimes God makes a mistake and he make a man too much of a man.” A quote from shirtless bear fighter vol 1.This is probably one of the funniest comics I’ve read in a while. Just try and imagine the terminator, rocky, and Rambo on crack. That’s Shirtless’s character. Read this for a good laugh on hyper-masculinity

Sometimes you just want to read something that’s ridiculous and fun and doesn’t take itself remotely seriously. If you’re in the mood for that kind of book, and a fan of puns, you’re going to have a good time with this one

This is every bit what you would expect from a graphic novel called "Shirtless Bear-Fighter" and it is amazing. So many bear puns, poop jokes, and bear punch action galore!
