3.5 starsStraightforward novel about a PI who’s investigating three cases: a child abduction case, a case of revenge and retribution, and the history of a reporter suffering from amnesia. Book two opens with PI Jessie Cole and Ben Morrison coming to terms with the events that occur in book one. While Jessie feels like she has closure, journalist Ben Morrison to wonder more about his past. Jessie decides she is going to help Ben piece together ...

3.5-3.75 StarsWe met Jessie, Ben, and Zee in the first installment. Jessie is a private investigator and works on cold cases. Seven years ago, Ashley’s newborn daughter was abducted. At the time police couldn’t help much but after these years Ashley can’t forget about her and needs to know what happened to her daughter, so she went to Jessie for help. These part of the story was so predictable!10 years ago Ben had an accident that stole his...

4.5 StarsThis is second in a series that features Private Investigator Jessie Cole and crime reporter Ben Morrison. Although second, this can easily be read as a stand alone. There's just enough information so that the reader is not totally lost, but not enough to ruin the reading of HER LAST DAY, book 1. As always, I highly recommend reading these books in order.Jessie Cole specializes in looking for the missing. A potential client contacts her ...

Actual rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsDeadly Recall is the 2nd book in the Jessie Cole series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading the first book before reading this one. Jessie Cole is one busy private investigator. She is working on multiple cases: a baby abduction, a man seeking vengeance on an insurance company and helping a friend with amnesia regain his memories. This is a quick read but it sure packs a lot in. Fast-pa...

Another eventful installment in the Jessie Cole series. I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the first, but it was definitely enjoyable. T.R. Ragan has a way of intermixing the storylines in a fashion that at first you would almost find it overwhelming, but at the same time, you have to pause and realize, isn't that just the way life is? Something is always coming at us from every different direction, we as individuals always seem to be juggling m...

Jessie Cole returns!! I have been a big fan of TR Ragan since I discovered the Lizzie Gardener series and this series does have similarities to that one. This book can be read as a stand alone as there is a lot of recapping throughout the story. But I would suggest reading book 1 first to learn more about the characters. This time Jessie is investigating the disappearance of a baby from the hospital 7 years ago. She also takes on a junior who gets...

I would like to thank Netgalley and Thomas & Mercer for an advance copy of Deadly Recall, the second novel to feature Sacramento based PI Jessie Cole and reporter Ben Morrison.Jessie is a cold case missing person specialist so is happy to take the case of Dakota Bale who was snatched from hospital shortly after her birth seven years ago. In the meantime Ben receives a letter from MAH stating that if DHI, a medical insurance company, does not publ...

Deadly Recall was a thrilling read with an engaging plot and amazing characters. For PI Jessie Cole there's nothing more rewarding than searching for the missing and she's got more cases than she can keep up with these days. A grieving mother seeks out Jessie to find out what happened to her daughter who was kidnapped on the night she was born seven years ago. Then the daughter of the CEO of a health insurance company is kidnapped by a man who bla...

The plot thickens in this second book in the Jessie Cole series. So many different threads going at the same time with multiple characters and they all work together like a well oiled machine. First up Jessie has been asked by a mother to find her daughter who was kidnapped from the hospital right after she was born 7 years ago. Then Ben has two things fall into his lap. First is Ben is sent a letter at the newspaper from a grieving father tellin...

Page After Page Book Blog Wow! I hardly know where to start with this book. Deadly Recall is the second book in the Jessie Cole series. I strongly suggest you read the series in order so the previous book isn’t spoiled for you.Just like in book one, we are following Private Investigator Jessie Cole as she does what she does best; locate missing people. What I love most about both of these books is that T.R. Ragan manages to simultaneously write...

Another great book by T.R. Ragan! I really enjoyed this book a lot. Great Narration by Kate Rudd (audible review)I like Jessie a lot. There were 3 different stories going on during this book so there was no time for filler nonsense and it kept you entertained all the way through. There is lots of dialogue throughout the entire book. Some great secondary characters too. One of my favorites is Zee and all 3 of her personalities! LOL they are great....

Another good book from T.R. Ragen! Deadly Recall is the 2nd book in this series and I've got to say I'm looking forward to reading the next one already! Well written characters that make you care what they are up to especially when they're not following directions and are out getting into trouble. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read this book and thanks to T.R. Ragen for "doing it" once again!

The second installment of the Jessie Cole series was just as page turning as the first! Jessie has a new case and Ben has asked Jessie to look into his past. Lots of twists and turns with a shocking discovery! Great characters that I look forward to learning more about. As usual, T.R. Ragan puts out a quality read!*ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest review.

As good as Her Last Day was this was even better. This one paid close attention to 3 different cases; a baby that was kidnapped 7 years before, the killer who was killing to get the attention of a large insurance company and at Ben’s request Jessie’s trying to find out about the years BEFORE he was in an accident that left him with partial amnesia. AND there’s a little romance going on with Jessie and Colin, too.I think my favorite characte...

4.5 STARSAfter I read the first book, I drew some parallels to the Lizzy Gardner series, hoping that more time spent with these characters would make them shine on their own. And they did.As with the first book, there are several storylines going on at once. The main one is about a man who lost his daughter to a medical condition where the insurance company wouldn't pay for experimental drugs. He decides to take revenge on the CEO of the company....

5 stars! Addictive Series! Loved the first one, loved the second! Keep them coming T. R. Ragan!T. R. Ragan does a fantastic job with character development. I cannot stress enough how well I feel I know these characters and am completely hooked reading about their lives. Zee, what a great addition to this series, I LOVE her! She visits Jessie and asks for a job at her PI firm. On her meds and convincing Jessie she is fine and no longer hearing the...

***4.5 stars*** This is BOOK #2 of Jessie Cole series. Here we continue Jessie’s journey as a PI. We see her dealing with the truths she discover in HER LAST DAY (book1). I wont tell because that’s for me to know and for you TO FIND OUT. Trust me reeeally good plot on book 1. So back to DEADLY RECALL. This one wasn’t a perfect score for me just because I felt the story was less suspenseful or nerve racking than book 1. This book it’s get ...

would like to thank netgalley and the author for letting me read another brilliant book by this amazing author...there are quite a few characters in this book to get your head around but then again this is about a private investigator and her clientsjessie cole is that p.i and along with her niece and dog and a girl named zee this is the main team...and what they get up is just normal run of the mill stuff...apart from zee who has a condition wit...

Three, three, three cases solved in one book!!! And again, TR Ragan hits a home run with this follow-up to Jessie Cole #1 - although it took me awhile to focus, not because of content but because I was a little lazy. The most difficult part about writing a review is that you want to say a lot but there's always the element of "spoiling" the end. I felt Ben's anguish and despair and am wondering just what Ms. Ragan has in store for him in her thir...

Deadly Recall is the second book in the outstanding new Jessie Cole series by bestselling author T.R. Ragan. A riveting suspense that will pull you in right from the start, and keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Deadly Recall by T.R. Ragan that I read and reviewed. The second book in the Jessie Cole series was totally awesome. I loved how Jessie managed to solve two cases and also helped her friend Ben delve deeper into his past. This book picked right up where the first one left off with Ben and Jessie teaming up to solve a case and Ben having flashbacks that are upsetting him that involve images what make him believe t...

This is the second book in the Jessie Cole series. I haven’t read book 1 but didn’t find that to be much of an issue with ‘Deadly Recall’. Jessie Cole is a private investigator who specialises in finding the missing. The other main character in this book is journalist Ben Morrison, who Jessie meet in book 1 while he was writing a story about her missing sister. While the mystery surrounding Jessie’s sister was apparently solved in book 1...

This is the 2nd in the series about PI Jessie Cole. She lives with her niece, who she has taken care of since her sister went missing. In the first of the series, you find out what happened to her sister. In this one, Jessie gets involves in a couple of cases. The first one is when a woman comes to her office and wants to find out what happened to her child that has been missing for years. She has never been found and was abducted from the hospita...

If you are looking for a captivating read that's action packed, even paced and one that'll break you heart then I'd recommend this book. You've got Jessie who specializes in finding the missing. She's so good at what she does that when someone threatens a top official at DHI about an experimental drug and how he lost his daughter, the official goes in search for Jessie. The race against time begins and you cannot help but wonder who'll come out w...

Not as riveting as book one This book was not as dark or as riveting as book one. It’s still a really good read, but the elements that made book one a powerhouse are missing in this book. The ‘killer’ in this book kills with an objective/cause, a misguided one, but one that any parent might understand. The second baddie is a disposable characters as he isn’t actually seen on page until the end. Then there is the mystery of Ben Morrison wa...

I didn't like this one quite as much as the first, but it was still good. I didn't find the major case as interesting as the Heartless Killer in Book 1. I also don't care for Zee working with Jessie since it seems like her mental illness would cause major issues there, especially if she isn't taking her medication. Since I just finished the Lizzy Gardner Series I think this one has so many similarities that it is leaving me feeling a bit been the...

Full review posted on blog.*Love this series!*Highly suggest reading 1st book prior to reading this one - there are spoilers in this one that will ruin 1st book.*Love that Jessie and Ben are working together again - like the dynamics of their teamwork.*Once again, multiple plot lines going on - really keep you engaged, and each one is quite intriguing.*Love that Zee, from the previous book, is back!*Such great character development in this series...

Characters are starting to evolve and develop, which is definitely a plus. The plot was good and moved along swiftly, didn't drag in places. I did like this book and am enjoying the series so far, however I can't help but feel there is a "read similar before" type feeling. Having said that I can't pinpoint a particular series or author or characters that are giving rise to that feeling. Its a pleasant read but don't feel I am reading anything ama...

Oh boy...I gotta say I’m worried about Ben. This series has strong quirky characters that really draw you in. Another great mystery where PI Jessie Cole has a lot on her plate. I will say it would be nice if the romance aspect was a bit faster. I like Colin. But I understand the flow of it.And then there’s Ben...his flashbacks, his family, his fear. I can’t wait to see what happens. I hope the author doesn’t crush my fondness for him. Loo...
