Listen to Your Heart by Kasie West

Listen to Your Heart

Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible. But to Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call ...

3.5 stars. This isn't my favorite Kasie West book, but it's still pretty adorable! The story has hints of Sleepless in Seattle, since the guy who likes Kate keeps calling her podcast for advice. It was a cute setup with a range of great characters and a lake setting... basically, a fun summer read. However, I never really got that into the story or connected with the characters. I had that problem with By Your Side, too... I still liked those book...

4.5 Stars! Is there anything better than a Kasie West book? I mean truly. They are always feel good, put a smile on your face and make you go aww, kind of reads. I can always count on her for a heartfelt story that is just what I need when I need it and once again she delivered. This was such a great read. I adored it completely and couldn't get enough of it. From the family dynamic to the friend dynamic to the podcasting at school. It truly was so...

This books was so adorable! I had a hard time putting it down and smiled throughout much of the book. The plot reminded me a lot of A MidSummer Nights Dream and it just all worked so perfectly. I read it in just a few hours and I really hated for the story to end. Listen to Your Heart is among my favorite West books and definitely one that I’ll be re-reading. All the heart eyes!!

Kasie West writes the cute, cute, cutest books! And Listen to Your Heart is no exception. This light, sweet, fun filled read made me smile and glow.Summer has come to a close, which means Kate Bailey has to spend more time than she’d like away from the water and the life she loves working at her family’s lakeside business. This school year brings all sorts of new challenges for Kate though. Her best friend, Alana, convinced her to enroll in a...

Am I the only person who thinks of the song with the same name whenever I see this book title? Hearing the original version makes this point even more valid in my book (haha): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCC_b...Anyways, this was another delight from West. I got more of what I love, from stellar character dynamics, great plot development, and good writing. This time, though, the slow-burn romance was well-constructed and built up momentum fai...

I should add to my disclaimer that I'm a Kasie West fan. I can't not read her books whenever I can get my hands on them, and I keep saving for darker times the older ones just in case I need a little bit of sunshine. That said, Listen to your Heart wasn't exactly a disappointment because the first half was really good and the second didn't go that bad. I think this is back to the West I first read, great ideas, great beginnings, but the moment she...

I adore Kasie West books. They're the perfect sweet romance/friendship stories I need to escape into. The only thing that would have made this one more fun is if I had saved it to read at the lake this summer.

"I don't care if people think I'm cool. My only goal is not to get punched."Kasie West really knows how to put you in a better mood. This was extremely cute and swoon-worthy.

I don't know why or how I keep forgetting how amazingly awesome Kasie West's books are but they are amazingly awesome. Her books give me the same warm, happy feeling I get from reading Meg Cabot's books. Anyway, this book was wonderful of course. I loved reading Kate's journey as she got more comfortable hosting the podcast (and those scenes were some of my favorites to read). West also does a great job slowly building up Diego and Kate's friends...

Do you hear that? It's me, squealing over the adorableness of this book. I say this in every review on Kasie's books, but it always need to be said because it is always true, her books are the BEST to get me out of reading slumps. I start reading them, then I find myself at 3:00 in the morning wondering how I already finished it. Like all of her books, I loved the romance in this. Usually, books where the main conflicts are caused by miscommunic...

3.5 starsThis was a super cute, fun, quick, lighthearted book about romance and friendship (with a great best friend relationship that's actually more important than the romance) and high school and perfect for when I needed something fluffy to get me out of a reading rut and help me forget about the sucky, winter-like spring weather we're having. It's a classic Kasie West book, though not the best I've read of hers. But I can already tell that i...

I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss+ in exchange for an honest review. I should say that I enjoy all Kasie West contemporary books. I really enjoyed this book and fell in love with the characters. This one felt different from her last book which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. Always love a good Kasie West contemporary.

I mean, it was cute but hella cheesy. The audience for this is way too young for me, and I think this will be the end of me and Kasie West.

E ARC from Edelweiss PlusKate would rather be out on the lake on her family's Wave Runner than do anything else, but when school starts, she has to resume family responsibilities and buckle down for her junior year. Her best friend Alana has encouraged her to enroll in a pod casting class, although Kate doesn't think this is a good idea. The class has to come up with a theme for the year, and when Kate's is chosen, she finds out that she will als...

I won a galley of this from IReadYA over at twitter, and it was one of the most exciting things ever. I hardly ever (basically never) win giveaways, so I was really excited to read this even though I'm not a huge YA romance reader. That being said, I found this book really cute and really addicting. This book was definitely trashy YA, but I had a blast reading it. It was fun, easy to read, and very lighthearted. I think one of the things that hel...
