A Little Too Late by Staci Hart

A Little Too Late

I wasn't supposed to fall in love with the nanny. When my wife left, she took the illusion of happiness with her, and I've been caught in a free fall ever since. For nine long months, I've been fighting to figure out how to be a single dad, how to be alone. For nine long months, I've been failing. When Hannah walked through the door, I took my first breath since I'd found myself on my own. She slipped into our lives effortlessly, showing me what I'...

Flawlessly fluent. Positively breathtaking. Staci Hart swept me off my feet with this stunning romance!A Little too Late is without a doubt, a classic, contemporary romance. One that simply, beautifully, flows from the pages. One that leaves you with that old, romantic swoony feeling we only get from literature pieces, like Austen, for example. The words are heartfelt and strong. The characters are broken and raw yet so breathtaking. A Little too...

I'm completely spent. A Little Too Late is yet another 5-star smash from Staci Hart. This unique take on the single dad storyline held me from the first page to the last, so much so that I seemed to fall into the pages and live inside them instead of in actual reality. I LOVE when a book can do that, can rip you from your own life and thrust you into another one entirely. Hart's writing in this is... just... unexplainably poignant. It's soft and ...

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book!I love Staci Hart novels. They always have a few details in them that outshine the others in stories. I wanted so bad to really love live this story. It just didn't give me the jitters and I was left wanting more. It was still a good story, but it just needed more key elements in the story that brought it full circle. I feel neglected in a way like there was a few chapters that were left...

I have most definitely been hiding under a rock. Why it has taken me so long to read this author I'll never know. This is my first book by Staci Hart but I have already put many of her books in my TBR queue. Staci writes so beautifully about the things that are sometimes the hardest to deal with. Charlie is a single dad who is doing the best he can to raise his two children. He feels his best, however, falls so very short of where it should be, b...

Charlie "She deserved someone without baggage, without history she'd have to take on for her own. She deserved someone as fresh and pure and beautiful as her." Hannah "Charlie was beautiful in the way a prince was - too noble and honest and virtuous to deny." Staci Hart has rocked our world again with a classic tale of a modern-day forbidden romance, of pushing against social stigma and expectations to discover that love exists in the most ...

A Little Too Late by Staci Hart“cheers to a fresh start, 5 stars”I just finished reading this and I can’t even… Hart keeps getting better and better. When I go to read one of Harts books I go in with zero expectations because I know it will be better than whatever I think up. She keeps giving us something new and fresh. If you’re a Hart follower you know she just moved to Europe with her family and she included a little bit of that in A...

Poor Charlie. His wife abandoned him and their two young children, he dealt with it by immersing himself into his job, he now works long, arduous hours, and his nanny left. On a day when he's feeling overwhelmed, into his life comes Hannah, a comely Dutch au pair whose knack for tending to his children makes an immediate impact. And there might be a teensy bit of attraction between the two. But Charlie is dealing with no small amount of trust...

Hannah has been persuaded by her friend Lysanne to come to New York from Holland to be an au pair. When she first meets Charlie something about him gave her a feeling inside but yet she pushes it aside focusing on needing this job. For those of you who have read Staci's book A Thousand letters would know that Charlie is the heroine in that book brother in law. Charlie's wife Hannah has abandoned him and her children for nearly a year. He has been...

4.5 *’s. This standalone, contemporary romance novel, with the most gorgeous cover, is told in dual POV. I love being able to witness what each of the main characters are thinking. It helps to understand their decisions and worries. Both Charlie and Hannah had adversity to overcome. Being together should have been easy and a thrilling journey, but with the baggage that is still dragging behind them, makes for huge obstacles. Charlie had me want...

I love the single dad trope. And after having met Charlie in A Thousand Letters, I wanted to know his story. What I got was a heartwarming, romantic read that did not disappoint. Charlie is trying to find himself and be the father his two small children deserve. Hannah is trying to find her place. Becoming the nanny to Charlie’s children is the perfect spot for her. Her loving, kind ways make their home a happy place to be. Both not without bag...

Sadly, this book just wasn’t for me. I was unable to connect to any of the characters, it just felt to rushed and to predictable. *ARC kindly given for my honest opinion.”
