Everest by S.L. Scott

Six foot three. Dynamic green eyes. Utterly irresistible. Ethan Everest stole my breath the first time I saw him. He romanced me with skill, dazzled me with his charisma, and proceeded to steal my heart right after. I might have fallen for his easy-going smile the first time we met, but I fell for him the second time.Honey-colored hair. Cherry-kissed lips. Captivatingly gorgeous. Singer Davis was the first, and only, woman to ever intimidate me. ...

I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. I found it to be very well written. The pace was OK. The first half of this book was S-L-O-W for me. Part of the reason for that was my irritation with the hero and his indecisiveness. That said, the plot was still very engaging and kept me turning the pages and the second half kicked up the pace quite a bit. There was a nice bit of suspense that came into play in the second half as well and that ad...

What I found funny was that ever since I started blogging, I’ve been promoting this author’s work but never actually read it. So I decided that now was the time to make things official. And I’m glad I did. I enjoyed this book a heck of a lot more than I thought I would considering how slow it started. Yeah, that’s a pretty good representation of the pace of this storyline. It was slow for the most part and I was thrilled when it took off....

I really liked this book. At first it was a little slow for me, but then the pace picked up and I started really enjoying it. I loved Ethan and Singer’s story. It was very heart felt and I enjoyed seeing them fall in love. Singer was amazing! I liked her from the beginning and I can see myself being her friend in real life. That’s how I know when a female character is good, when I can see myself being friends with her. Ethan was great too! He...

4.5 Stars for Ethan Everest"The Man. The Myth. The Mountain"So from the blurb I thought this was a second chance romance but it's not and that was absolutely ok because I still enjoyed this book. More to the point, I really enjoyed Ethan. When he meets Singer he is a bit of a mystery but there is an instant connection that draws them to each other. The chemistry these two have is palpable and there link was electrical.Ethan was known to the world...

Ethan Everest walks into a house party and is instantly taken by the beauty across the room. After some eye flirting and asking people about her, he finds out her name is Singer. When he sees her alone on a fire escape, he makes his move and is hoping for something more than just a night. But when he’s pulled away by another woman, a year passes before Singer and Ethan speak again, and he finally takes the plunge… well, sort of.I liked so muc...

Everest by S.L. Scott is the story of Ethan and Singer. Ethan saw Singer at a house party and knew she was special. When he found her alone he almost kissed her but was distracted by another women. Although it seem they saw each other from a distance through out the year. Singer was a sweet caring women who allowed Ethan to make his way toward her on his time frame I thought. This book does start off slow but it does pick up and work with your em...

There are so many books that I read that the cover has been the main thing to catch my eye. Usually, when I see the cover and I love it, I want to read it. That was not the case for Everest. There was no cover. But the blurb was there. I read it, digest and I fell in love. The blurb enticed me. The blurb utterly mesmerized me. I know I found a book that will reduce me to nothing. I had to read it. When I got this book and started to read it, my i...

Let me start off by saying I have a full blown girl crush on Singer. She's a beautiful soul who I instantly warmed to. Ethan was a really nice surprise. Not the usual alpha a$$hole I have read lately. I loved his genuine nature, his wit and his easy affection. Don't get me wrong - he's definitely still all alpha. The chemistry in this one is fantastic - wall sex anyone 🔥🔥It's a well written slowburn love story. Add in plenty of action, dash...

"How does one repay the sun for shining? I honestly had no clue what I was in for when I started reading Everest. It's much more than insta-love or second-chance-romance. It's fate and hope and dreams. It's destiny and lost hope and unfulfilled dreams. It's faith and fear and mixed signals. It's baseball and bubble suds. And so much more... Being inside Ethan's head when he first met Singer was a very frustrating experience for me. Because I kne...

Ethan Everest…. alpha billionaire, handsome, captivating and of course a hot commodity with women. Is he your typical charismatic hottie that can capture a woman’s heart with just a wink and smile? Well here’s the thing, he is but he isn’t and that is what I love the most about Ethan Everest.Ethan knows he’s good looking, but his easy-going nature is what attracted me to him the most. Yes, we get to witness his alpha tendencies and need...

I’m not quite sure how to write this review – I mean I really liked it. It has everything you want in a love story. It’s just something was missing for me to give it a full 5*. I think my biggest “upset” was all the mystery as to why Ethan asked Singer not to look him up on the internet. When everything is revealed, I didn’t find that to be such a big problem or a secret, but OK. Now to the pluses :P I love the way Ethan (God how muc...

Ethan Everest has movie star good looks, combined with boy-next-door charm … and he is a billionaire. This guy has it all, you say? Well, perhaps not. Happiness has eluded him. He owns a thriving business and has lots of money. Yet, he feels that his life is out of control and feels helpless to do anything about it.When he meets Singer Davis at a party, he is attracted to her from the first. And yet he has pushed her into the friend-zone. Ethan...

Ethan Everest be still my beating heart, I’m a loved up soppy mess. Prepare yourselves for a smooth talking heart stealing enigma.I will admit that it took me awhile to get into the story purely due to the pace of the story because the first half is slow. This is a slow burn and even though normally that’s not my thing the more I read the more I understood that it fits the characters. Ethan and Singer continue to bump into each other socially...

Slow burn - fast finish. Great story.

I really liked this book. Ethan was pretty swoon worthy and a hot alpha. I really enjoyed Singers character. I'm always a sucker for 2nd chance romance books.

Everest is everything I never knew I needed in a book. Pure SL Scott perfection.

Everest is a sweet slow burn billionaire romance.Singer is a breath of fresh air. She's sweet and bright and a light shining in the dull New York setting of Everest. And Ethan notices her bright light and is attracted, but for some stupid reason he lets himself get sidetracked by another, less deserving woman, and he loses his chance at the sun that shines from Singer. Until he decides, finally, after having dealt with the evil woman who sidetrac...

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book!I wanted so much to give this book a 5 star rating but I couldn't! I am a huge fan of The Kingswood series and Solace and was expecting to love this just as much. I didn't and I will explain why.The first half of the book was slow. I mean turtles were faster in the zoo the other day than Singer or the lack of Ethan. These two were confusing and I couldn't 100% connect to the characters. ...

I am so HIGH off Everest!! This book blew me away!! SL Scott seriously has leveled up her writing game with her newest release. The blurb does not do it justice. There’s something that just hit all the right notes for me. When I finished, I just sat there. Now what? How do I move on from THIS?!? My thoughts are consumed with Ethan + Singer even hours later. I was sitting around with a grey cloud over my head before starting Everest. I wasn’t ...

Everest is 100% S.L. Scott perfection. Fantastic writing, complex characters, beautiful love story, and a sprinkling of mystery and suspense. From the moment you open Everest, you are captivated, not only by the man but the woman that catches his attention. Ethan Everest is intelligent, giving, kind. funny, and absolutely smitten with Singer Davis. Singer Davis, like most women, is drawn to Ethan Everest. His good looks and ability to make you fe...

REALLY enjoyed reading Everest and Singer's story. Much more than I expected inside these pages. A rather angst-filled story but with a powerful love story and some terrific characters including the secondary cast. Written well and in a way that captured me from the start, along with a fast-paced and emotional ups and downs plot. The suspense added an element that I am always happy to find in a story. I'm a big romantic suspense fan!

Dnf 44%This is the first dnf I gave S.L Scott's books after so many four and five stars.I was bored. I was expecting slow burn because that's Scott's style but it dragged and the story was quite flat. The heroine was doormat and shy, hesitation with her answers and she possibly gonna bloom to a princess further down the line but I don't have the patience to wait. I just don't like this kind of heroines. The hero harbored some kind of bullshit secr...

Gah! The feels!!! Second change romance is angsty but you add in the billionaire drama, jealousy fueled rage, and more and you have a book with all the feels. I’m not crying. There is a branch in my eye.
