Scarred (Sins and Secrets Series of Duets Book 4)

She made me a better man, but I still wasn’t good enough to keep her.Born and raised in Brooklyn, with sleeve tattoos, ripped muscle and a cold-hearted stare, I am who I am.  The bad boy she knew to stay away from.I knew we were never supposed to last.  But the way her lips tasted, the way her curves felt under my hands…  I couldn’t let go. I did everything I could to keep her.I put on a ring on her finger and straightened out my life. ...

YESH...this one was as exhausting as the first book and I honestly am not sure how I feel about it. I read both books back to back like a mad woman, so I guess that means I did like them. *lol* The two main characters though...ugh. They both annoyed me to no end, and I again spent the majority of the book wanting to smack them upside their heads. With that said, this one had the same excellent writing. The pace moved along quite quickly. The plot ...

Willow Winters just Damaged and Scarred my heart. But guess what...I loved every moment of it!! Gah! Evan and Kat's story is her best yet! The angst, the drama. The mystery, the danger. I. Could. Not. Get. Enough! I can't wait to devour the entire series! I hope Jake’s story is in the line-up soon. I fell in love with him! I learned a couple things while reading Scarred. 1. Willow Winters is a dealer. Angst junkies! Line up now for your next fi...

➳ Rate: 4,4 / 5 starsI was so happy when this dropped in my kindle! I had been patienly waiting for this so I could see how everything was going to unfold between Evan and Kat.This had as much if not more angst then Damaged, and I say that because at one point I thought all would be lost and there might be no hope for these two. In that regard this book had me on the edge of my seat. And God it had a couple really sad bits that just really get ...

Willow Winters has taken my all of my emotions, put them in a blender and turned them into a clustered mess of feels puree! I honestly could not be happier about it!*Shivers with excitement* Folks this is the follow-up book to Damaged, one I had been highly anticipating! Eeek- Oh my, what tangled webs, Evan and Kat have woven themselves into and must begin to untangle to help understand one another's plights if they want to try to rebuild the con...

What I like about this book...it’s about an existing couple. A marriage. It’s about keeping a marriage together, fighting for each other even in the face of extreme adversity. It’s different from other books out there in this way and that makes it a refreshing, albeit gut clawing, read. You can read this on its own, but it’s just not the same if you don’t read Damaged first. Like these characters, the books can stand on their own but th...

After reading Damaged I couldn’t wait until I could read Scarred. It did not disappoint!I was so invested in Evan and Kat’s story.I really liked Evan from bk. 1 and loved him in Scarred.Very emotional book that had me in tears and pulling at my heart.Ms. Winters not only delivered a great book but blow it out of the water!Written perfectly with a twist that’s jaw dropping.Great storyline and plot. The characters are well developed and have de...

Scarred was one of the most interesting books that I have read by Ms. Winters. It was an emotional book that made me cry, which I don’t do very often. It tore at my heart strings, made me feel so much for both characters, Evan and Kat. Their marriage was falling apart but they still loved one another. They just didn’t know how to get it back to the way it used to be. So many mistakes but Evan refused to let the love of his life go. Kat still ...

In order to read this book, you must be emotionally fit. Scarred is a serious rollercoaster of all senses and every emotion.Marriage on the rocks.Marriage on the brink.Evan and Kat want to be together but a mountain of the things unsaid, lies, and human obstacles get in their way.Evan's past has come back to haunt him in a major way.Kat is playing with fire. Both are drowning in their sorrow for each other, they yearn for each other, but when they ...

I devoured this book in hours,it's so good. I was so heartbroken, I stayed on edge and it was such an emotional cry that I had throughout this book. My heart broke for both Evan and Kat. As he withdraws from her, is she falling for another man? Did he leave her for another woman? Will she understand why he's doing all this? Doesn't he understand how much she loves him and how much he's hurting her? There's a twist that's unexpected too and took m...

This is the second part and the conclusion to Kat and Evans story. It will definitely leave you and emotional mess from beginning til end. Everything he does is to protect her but just goes about it the wrong way. She loves him so much and just wishes he'd tell her what's going on the help him. My heart really broke for these two and everything they had to go through. There was a twist that made the betrayal even more shocking. Truly an amazing b...

Willow Winters knows how to tear you apart and then put you back together. This book was an emotional one for me. It hit really close to home. I really loved Evan and Kat. I highly recommend this duet.I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! Where do I start? I absolutely loved this second book to Kat and Evan's story. There was so going on in this story and I couldn't help getting so emotionally involved in all they had to go through. I was surprised that I didn't go through a whole box of tissues. The parts that had me reaching for them had to do with Evan and his father. I wasn't expecting that. Willow had me on edge wondering how e...

Scarred by Willow Winters is the fourth book in the Sins and Secrets Series of Duets. I recommend to read the books not as standalones. Meet tatteed up, cold hearted bad boy Evan Thompson. Hes in prison with murder charge and has to stand trial.Kat his wife wants to live her life, but circumstances and enemies threaten her. Evan feels he cant hold onto Kat, both hurt each other a lot.Scarred is a mindfudge of epic proportions. There are so many t...

This book is spectatular! It is an emotional roller coaster ride of emotions. It will take you to the brink of utter heart break and then bring you full circle to where you are filled with hope and happiness. You will connect with the characters on so many levels. Their journey is one you can relate to in real life. Their struggle to not give up on each other or their marriage when things are rough, filled with uncertainty. The faith to work hard...

Fantastic conclusion to this duet. The previous book, Damaged, completely destroyed me, and this one slowly put me back together. The title is perfect. There are a couple moments that completely shocked and surprised me. I love a book that can do that! This is still not a happy book. I described the previous as kinda depressing and emotional, and this is still all of that, just with resolution and a bit more happy ever after. Hard earned. Kat is ...

How do you stay in trust when everything tells you not to? How do you heal when your heart refuses to believe what your mind tells you you must do? Does love concur all?Scarred is the riveting, heartbreaking conclusion to Damaged. Every page took a piece of my heart. Luckily Willow put it all back together for you before the story is done. I love the Sins and Secrets Duets. This is by far Willow's best work and that is saying something.

I was excited as soon as I seen this was coming out to read the rest of the story and believe me it doesn't not disappoint! Kat and Ethan go threw a string of ups and downs of course and there's a real twist to the whole story that you would never dream of being able to guess. Its page turniningly, emotionally and utterly brilliant with a fantastic ending and i would recommend everyone this authors books. I voluntarily received an ARC from this a...

Where do I begin? As soon as I finished Damaged I was counting down the days until I could read this one. I was hooked on Evan and Kat's story and I needed to know how it ended. It was definitely worth the wait. This book made me go through so many emotions! I was exhausted by the time I finished it!! But it is so well written and the fact that it affected me so much proves that. Willow's poetry is just incredible. I loved reading the little p...

The first poem really got us, it made us realise that reading Scarred would be no smooth sailing but a huge roller-coaster.So if we thought Damaged broke our heart, Scarred ripped it right out of our chests and stomped all over it.We were such emotional wrecks all the way through this book.Scarred was a hell of a lot more intense and heart breaking than Damaged. The struggles that Evan and Kat went through was just so emotionalThis is without a ...

I was given a advance copy for honest review.Scarred was a very deep and dark love story, it had a very gritty feel to it as you read the story of Evan and Kat. As I read through this book I soon realized that this was the 2nd part to Evan and Kat's love story, so I was definitely lost and confused about some things, but this did not prevent me from enjoying their story and being intrigued about how it would end. Both Evan and Kat have made sacri...

Part two of Evan and Kat’s story starts in the same dark and desperate mood as the first part ended. The constant fight between mind and heart within both characters, the constant back and forth in their relationship are a permanent reminder how precious their love is!With every chapter the story gets sadder (leaving me choked up in tears not only one time), more dramatic, more agonizing, more desperate and, in a very subtle way, the tension cli...

I was graciously given an ARC for an honest review and honest I shall be!This book grabs you by the throat and makes you really, really slow down and read the pages.  I loved how you get thrown right into the action from the first chapter, no slow build up, no hearts and flowers (although there is that too!) and no backstory, which was terrific! Sometimes when I am reading, I get dragged down by backstory and I end up skimming pages to get to th...

Wow, scarred was a incredible conclusion to Kat and Evan's story. Damaged needed something pretty special to follow it, and scarred lived up to that. I think I actually preferred scarred. Whilst damaged is heart breaking with so much love, loss and betrayal. Scarred brings it all together and things play out, with some twists and turns. Great to see characters from the first sins and secrets duet as well. I don't think scarred is quite as emotive...

This book is part two of a duet. It is the continuation of Evan and Kat's story. I will admit I did not read the first book but really didn't have an issue following the story. Reading this book definitely was an emotional experience. Evan and Kat are a married couple trying to survive all kinds of obstacles attempting to sabotage their relationship. It deals with murder, pregnancy, and A LOT of miscommunication. I wanted to slap them both severa...

This is book two of Evan and Kat's story. Please make sure you read Damaged first or you will be lost. This book begins with Evan in jail and Kat deciding that she needs to get her life back in order for their baby's sake. She is sick of the lies, omissions and secrets Evan has been keeping. This book is emotional and will rip your heart out all while wanting to smack the ever loving crap out of Evan. Don't get me wrong I am rooting for Evan and K...

I have been SO looking forward to this book, checking every day!😊 and when the arc arrived I had to leave the book I was reading to start this straight away and I knew going into I was going to love it! And love it I did! 😁😁😁😁 stories with a dual POV are always better, to get to know both characters and their thoughts and feelings just attach you even more to their stories, I think myself so lucky to have had the chance to read thi...

This is the fourth book in the Sins and Secrets Series of Duets. You can easily read this one without having read Damaged. I enjoyed this book more than the previous one. Not only did this one seem to be more suspenseful, to me it did anyway. But there were also a few twists and turns I did not see coming. Unfortunately Kat and Evan still frustrated me to no end, though not as much as they did in Damaged. Overall I thought it was a good book. *I ...

I really enjoyed this book, which is the followup story of Kat and Evan. It was suspenseful and kept you wanting to turn the page, so it was a very quick read. As always with this author, you'll feel the souls of Kat and Evan. I felt this book was better than third in the series simply because I feel there wasn't any repetition in this book with the characters, and the story just kept moving forward until the HEA!

This book is gut wrenching and you should have a box of tissues with you while reading it. You need to read Damaged before reading Scarred being that it is a duet and Scarred is the second book in the series. Scarred is a phenomenal read that sucks the life out of you while reading. It rips your heart in two but slowly it begins to heal the more you read. Kat and Evan are amazing characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this b...
