Growing up in south Louisiana, New Orleans was a place where magic could happen... BAD things could happen... Basically anything could happen.Mysterious, magical, beautiful, dangerous...UNDER THE LIGHTS is set in a strip club that's a front for sex trafficking. A boy and a girl dare to fall in love, and it's HOT and sweet and dangerous, and eeeek!Note: This is a CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE duet. COMMENT and let me know what you think....

Have you EVER read a book that totally consumes you? Under the Light by Tia Louise is one of those books for me. I feel compelled to say it wasn't what I expected at all. it was more. A mixture of Tia's humor with a dark side of pure genius.Danger, intriguing and a plot full of a twisty road.I love it so, so much. One of my favorites by her.If this author isn't an automatic one-click for you, then she should be.Mark and Lara are about to take you...

Wow!!! What I book! This book is brilliant. I read it in one sitting which is really good for me. I couldn't put it down. The story has my gripped from page one. This story is a lil different to what this author as done before. But I have to say I m really liked it. I luvd the New Orleans vibe in it. Mark is a great character but I actually think that I like Lara the heroine more. Both characters have been through a hard time but Lara is living ...

I’ve read most books by Tia Louise. After each one I say, this is my new Tia Fave... But “Under The Lights” is really my new favorite! It is so different from anything I’ve read of hers and I’ve read everything she’s released the last 3 years except one! I think whether you like Dark, Rom-Com, Mobster/Sinister or Young Romance, you will love this story. I literally felt like I was sitting on the edge of my seat throughout. You couldn...

Under The Lights didn't work for me at all. I didn't like the hero's description of the heroine in the opening pages and his assumptions about her after barely spending anytime with her. I also didn't feel that connection between them I didn't see why they were drawn to each other, it felt very contrived to me just as much of the book felt. I really hope to love these two and feel their connection in the next book.ARC provided by author in exchan...

If you’re familiar to my reviews, you know how much I adore EVERYTHING Tia Louise writes. I swear this woman could write a book about the life of a fish, and I’d read it without a blink. She’s one of those unicorn authors who never disappoint but this book, guy, this book is golden. Pure treasure.I was so damn happy we got a duet for Mark and Lara. This story is so damn sexy, so damn consuming, so damn everything you need in a perfect read....

Although this book is listed as second-chance romance, I didn't get that impression. Maybe book two..... But with the ending of this one Im not so sure. Is it January 22nd yet?!? I need the conclusion like yesterday!!!! What a way to start a series and not what I was expecting but much more than what I expected.Mark and Lara meet at a time when they are both trying to make their lives better. They weren’t looking for each other or love but it just happened. She always dreamt of being a star and she had the opportunity while being a rising one in the burlesque show in New Orleans. Under The Lights is an amazing story of two people who cross paths when life isn't treating them so well. Lara is a part of a burlesque show in New Orleans trying to keep her innocence by not becoming the star of the show and protecting Molly, a young girl she saved, from getting caught up in the dark world behind the scenes of the burlesque show. Lara isn't without protection. Her friend Roland does his best to keep her and Molly safe. Mark want...

I so don't know where to begin with this one. But that is only because Under the Lights is so good. I love Tia's books. This one is a little darker then previous works but still packed with everything I love about her books. You get a little sexy/sweet love mixed in with the dark as you enter the world of Burlesque in New Orleans. Yes you hard me right you get a little bit behind the scenes of a somewhat seedy Burlesque club. Lara is a young tale...

This story!! A sad heartbreaking, somewhat dark love story. I couldn't stop reading I got so wrapped up in the lives of Mark and Lara. When I wasn't reading I was thinking about them. They were together but circumstances in their lives kept them from being truely together. It was sad to watch. She was leading a "glamorous" but tragic life. It honestly broke my heart. She was so strong and yet weak at the same time. I wanted to reach in the book an...

What an amazing story. So much happens and you will stay on edge! I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. I went through so many emotions and I even cried when something really bad happens. I love the chemistry between Mark and Lara. He’s her hero, but will he always be able to save her? Can he get her and Molly away? You’ll have to buy the book to find out what happens. I can’t wait to read the next book. Tia Louise is a fairly...

January 22 cannot come soon enough because I need to know what ends up happening! Literally devoured this book in 2 days! Don’t think I’ve ever read a book that quickly! This book has so much going on and just completely wraps you up and pulls you in. It is so easy to completely fall for Mark & Lara. Both have dreams of a better life, both are stuck where they are, but then they find each other. It’s not easy, but they give each other hope. And so much more. But there’s a dark side to New Orleans, and some truly awful things happen. I love Mark, his devotion, his love, his heart. And Lara, her strength, her l...

I love stories set in New Orleans. There's always more under the surface. There's lights, life, beauty, hope, magic and intrigue...there's also darkness, death, ugliness, despair, voodoo and things better left unseen.Wonderfully written, Under the Lights does not disappoint. I became entangled in the lives of all the characters but Lara and Mark's story wrenched my heart out. A story of two souls finding each other but not allowed to openly be wit...

Tia Louise is a new author for me, and although the blurb really caught my attention, the actual book fell slightly short for me. I think the premise behind the book was really interesting, the writing was good, but for it to really go somewhere I think the story needed to be fleshed out more, and the same goes for the characters. It almost felt rushed, and a bit jumpy?! I'd still read the sequel because the ending did have me intrigued, and it'd...
