Thanks to Amber Argyle for giving me this book to review.Stolen Enchantress is a fast-paced YA fantasy which I really enjoyed. It had brilliant world building and magic system, along with well written characters and a fairytale feel to the novel. The only thing I was not a fan of was why the girls were taken but I cannot say more without spoiling the book.Larkin is a protective, loyal and caring person, and is a really good protagonist who is stu...

This book was exactly what I needed to read even though I didn't know it. When Amber Argyle says she has a new book coming out, I'm the girl in the front of the line with my hand raised, jumping up and down saying, "pick me, pick me!" I think what draws me to her books is the way she creates original and fascinating places and people that just pull me right in. Her books are outside my normal, go to genre but I really love that. Fantasy isn't usu...

3.5 starsI received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest reviewThe cover is a piece of art, and the blurb for once says the truth: this book is a sort of The Pied Piper meets The Beauty and the Beast for real and the author shows an imagination rich and wonderful. I love the cover and I think that it’s the right one for this story. And what a story! This is a highly enjoyable reading, even if I wasn’t so enamored, because it was to...

What can I say about Stolen Enchantress.....To say that this book didn't leave me wanting more is an understatement. After I was done with the first chapter it kept me wanting for more. You meet Larkin this strong young women who lives in a world where men are the ones who are prized and valued. Yet she's still doing her thing and providing for her family (yes she has her dad but he is a MESS!). Her hardships doesn't end there because her sister ...

An excellent original story that has the feel of the fairytales I loved growing up. An enchanted forest where all is not what it seems. Magic that pulls the MC, Larkin, toward some forbidden future. Twisted, tangled love. Amazing!Larkin rocks! She has had to be strong in a community that sees her and other women as having little value. Her father is a useless drunk she tries to protect her sisters from. When she goes against everything she's been...

I loved it! This is the first Amber Argyle book I have read, but it will not be the last! I was drawn in right from the very beginning, and read it in one sitting--well, actually, I was lying in my bed first, thinking I would just read a chapter before bed to see what the book was like. I finished it a couple of hours before I had to face the day. And it was SO. WORTH. IT!I cannot wait for the next book! I still have so many questions. If you like...

When Larkin goes into the Forbidden Forest to find her sister, Larkin is very lucky to leave the forest with her sister. Young girls have been disappearing for years. What she doesn't realize is how much her life is going to change. I don't want to spoil this story by telling more about it. I was given a free copy of this book by the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars. This is an exc...

Stolen Enchantress was so amazing, that I immediately reread it. Amber has a way of writing dynamic women in tragic circumstances that overcome overwhelming odds. This story has many classic fairy tale themes such as magic, haunted woods, virgin sacrifice, and true love. Larkin is raised near a wood and told never to enter it or the beast will get her. Then comes a day when she must enter the wood to save her very young sister who accidentally wa...

Now this is storytelling! Poor community, told lies about their missing girls going into the forest by men blowing a flute and making the women and girls follow them into the forbidden forest. Larkin followed her little sister into the woods and was saved by a man when an animal was going to attack. No one ever comes back out of the forest and so they call Larkin cursed and want to kill her. Thinking she was to be married so but all that went to ...

An enchanting tale that manages to be original even as it draws from age-old fairy tales. Stolen Enchantress is a tale that has everything from action to romance, from fantasy to an emotional storyline; it wants for nothing. With a strong female lead and story to become invested in, it is a story almost everyone can enjoy.

This story has it all that echoes from my child hood, a magical forest, a pied piper and children who are being stolen. Amber does a great job of diving right into the heart of the story and giving you a little bit of info as you progress through the story. We are introduced to poor Larkin who only failing is she went into the forest to rescue her sister and survived the woods. Now the town wants to sacrifice her when all she wants to is to escap...

Lies are told. Everything is not what it seems. And the MC is stuck in the middle of it all. The story has a feel of fairytales of our past with pied pipers and a forbidden forest with emotional tugs on the MC.

I was really excited to see a pied piper retelling! So original! Beautifully written, drawing you in right away. It's a bit gloomy and slow at times, but I love the author's voice. Larkin, her sisters, and a lot of the other characters are well crafted. Perfect for fans of Erin Summerill.

I'm a huge fan of Argyle's Fairy Queens-series and when I started reading Stolen Enchantress I was a little bit afraid my high expectations were going to ruin the experience. I needn't have worried. Stolen Enchantress drew me in from the very first page and didn't let go until the very last. It is a beautifully written fantasy with a lovely fairytale-like feel to it. It's captivating and suspenseful, filled with magic, love, intriguing characters...
