Super underwhelmed with this. Nothing about it was interesting. Not the characters, the story, not the "coldbloods". The story was slow, Riley was annoying. I was hoping this would be good series from Bella, maybe something different from her other series. But it's not.

Good StartI’m always impressed by this author. When I first saw the beautiful cover I was instantly was hooked. I wasn't impressed with the character Riley though because she seemed to be content with not minding her own business. I can’t wait to see where the next book journeys us.I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something different to read.

This book was definitely iffy for me. There were some parts that were boring and others that grabbed my attention. Hotbloods starts off with a group of friends who want to go on a last hoorah before their next step in life. From there you sort of start to like Riley, Lauren, and Angie; however, for me it just didn't last. I feel like I was on endless up and down roller coaster and I couldn't decided if I actually liked them all or thought that th...

Not goodI have no idea what this book was about. They're cold-blooded hot bloods? They're in Texas, no Alaska, wait New York, wait Wisconsin. I don't know how or why. There's a strange relationship between these two that I also don't understand. Hard to follow. Lots of excess description and thought. I tried to skim through to the end but just couldn't finish.

Read more bookish goodness on my book blog: Cal's Constant Raving Reviews 3.5/5 stars.MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BOOK:I read Hotbloods in one sitting via my Kindle, and loved it! The beginning was a bit slow, as I find many fantasy novels are (mainly because we know the mysterious people aren't human! Gasp!). It oddly reminded me of Ruby Dixon's space universe. This was more centred on vampires, though. CHARACTERS/DYNAMICS:I like that Riley had two o...

2 starsOk, I have a feeling they put A LOT of money into advertising this book. The only reason why I downloaded it was because it came up on my Facebook, and then continuously came up on my browsing searches on amazon. Where do I start, well I suggest you take a seat! The book wasn’t ‘bad’, if I’m honest. Just HIGHLY frustrating at times. It started off good, with good pacing, decent characters and good description. But, then it went all...

I wasn't overly keen it was ok, it was the overused girl falls in love with vamp who are against weres/shifters although in this scenario all these paranormal's come from outer space.I didn't feel the chemistry between the two MC's, its more like how i would act like with my girlfriends, the only endearing quality i found with the male MC was his innocence to humanity. It felt a bit like a bad version of twilight, the writing style was good but t...

This was an Ok new book in a new series. I really didn't need to start a new series at this point because I am already reading too many incomplete series. And actually I think I've found a common flaw I have with this author and new series. I don't ever feel really gripped by her books on the first reading but then I reread them and I love them. The main characters are Riley and Navan, but for me for a first book in the series the romance between...

I hoped to love this book but that didn't happen.I actually didn't stuck with the idea of vampires being an alien advanced race and all that stuff. So I was not even able to finish this book

I don't know what I was expecting, exactly...but what I got was a wild ride involving romance, originality & pacing that kept me glued to the pages!I just bought the second book, Coldbloods and I'm diving in right away!!

I have read other books by this author so I was interested to see what this series would be like. It was a bit slow for me and while these beings were supposedly superior the three girls just stumbled on them after hearing noises. Surely they could have taken steps to remain hidden as they had been hiding from the human race forever without being detected. The story sometimes felt forced rather than just progressing at it's own pace.I kept gettin...

Friends Riley, Angie and Lauren are spending one last summer together before college/jobs split them apart. They are working on a farm in the middle of nowhere in Texas when they meet some gorgeous "lumberjack" looking guys working on an adjacent property. These strong silent types turn out to be hiding a big secret - they aren't human. The girls become reluctant friends of these strangers. Riley and the leader of the guys, Navan, embark on a mis...

Book 3 in my pnr binge was... Meh. I enjoyed the original take on vampires. It started out good, but my interest quickly dwindled. Let's just say the tagline is a bit deceptive - 'Vampires have never been so hot.' Turns out this is a young adult book so actually Bella Forrest, you lie.. They could be a LOT hotter!! 😂😂 OK OK I get it. They have hot blood (no, wait.. It's cold.. But they're hot.. Oh I don't know).Anyway, I'm not averse to le...

Wow! The journey from the start of the story to the end is extraordinary. I never even contemplated the direction this story would take. Neven and Riley are a brilliant couple. I love that Riley’s tough, smart and loyal. Neven is a classic hotty looking for redemption. Can’t wait to see where this series goes next.

Awesome new series!I love this new take on vampires. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say I love the connection between Riley and Navan. Now I'm off to read book two! I highly recommend this series.

This is a big fat no for me. I've read other Bella Forrest books and they are pretty decent. But this book had so much going on it was bordering on ridiculous. I really enjoyed the new take on Vampires when it first started. Then 50% hit. After that we added, Space fuz (I couldn't stop laughing at the intergalactic Feds) werewolves, and shapeshifters. I may have been able to get behind that, but then the characters were not the least bit believab...

Meh......This book is just OK....It was slow going until about half way through the book and then the story ended abruptly. Not my favorite by this author so I won't be reading the rest of the books in this series. However she does have other books that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Dnf @32%. Why am I not interested in this story? It has aliens, scifi/fantasy, hot guys, "vampires", etc Usually this is my go to genre, but for some reason this isn't sparking a flame of interest in me. :/

After considering at length toRead this as had mixed reviews and kept popping upOn my face book I tookThe plunge after all it did say better than twilight oh how wrong so much so I just couldn’t bring myself to Finnish it Riley was annoying and the story was long winded and at a slow pace what a shame

3.5 starsI'm torn about this book. There were elements that I thought were very creative and captivated my attention and there were elements that made me want to throw the book across the room. I will start with what I found to be negative points - then the review can end on a high note.I found Riley's interactions with people to sometimes be a little forced. She seems to grasp that relationships change over time and yet won't seem to let go of t...

I had read & thoroughly enjoyed this Author's Shade of Vampire series, until it got past about book 15 & kept on going 😳 So I had high hopes for this new series but not blind optimism!! The start is setting the scene & letting you get to know Riley, mainly, although it also shows the tightknit friendship between her, Angie & Lauren too. It then moves at quite a pace once something very unusual is found & then stolen. Naven is the leader of the...

Had to stop after 30% The story was absolutely ridiculous. So, we have these three city girls who are on vacation in this secluded house with no form of communication with the outside world. They see snakes and all sorts of insects. They’re sleeping in this moldy room. They don’t have enough water so they take their baths at the lake where they found a giant bat wing. Well.. I don’t know but if that were me, I would’ve been so scared and ...

Since finding Bella Forrest's other series, The Gender Game, I was hoping to see her writing blossom in another book. I had high expectations after reading the 1st of that series (The Gender Game) but after the 2nd book, I was disappointed enough to not continue reading the next installments. The author has a good writing style, I'll give her that, but the way she unravels the story is not to my liking, sadly. Just like in her other series, the s...

A good readI found myself not wanting to stop reading and even after I did stop my mind kept returning to it through out my day. The descriptions of the scenery were well done to the point that words weren't wasted on every single detail allowing my mind to use my own imagination to build it in my mind's eye. " I turned, hoping to follow my footprints back. But the snow was old and had a crust of ice over it, so there were no tracks. " This state...

I’ve been a lover of Bella Forrest books for a long time so I was very excited to see that she was writing a new vampire series! It’s amazing, I’m so glad that I read it and I cannot wait to see where Navan and Riley’s story takes them. I loved watching their relationship blossom as the book went on. Riley has taken the summer off to a nowhere town in Texas, where she and her two friends are going to spend the summer together before they ...
