Stay With Me (Lazarus Rising #3)

Shelly Hampton intends to spend the holidays alone in her family’s mountain cabin, but when a snow-covered stranger appears on her door-step, her plans are shot straight to hell. The man before her seems oddly familiar, and he stirs a dark need within her. It’s soon apparent that John Smith is far more than a normal man—he’s too strong, too fast, and she could swear that he seems to read her thoughts…and know her most secret desires. Bu...

4 stars, but I click 5, because… I’m in a good mood today *lol* and as thanks to this author for writing strong and smart heroines!

I feel like I’m on repeat but I can’t help it, this series is awesome! Cynthia Eden brought us another great super soldier in John. I like that the author switched things up and gave us a soldier not directly related to the first group we got to know in book 1 and 2. We are starting to see the scope of what lengths the government has gone to trying to create killing machines. What they didn’t count on was the primitive pull these men would ...

4 - "You are my Christmas..." Stars! The third book in Cynthia Eden’s hugely enjoyable, Lazarus Rising series, has a decidedly Christmassy feel to it. Don’t fret the romance and suspense are still fully in the fore, but the author took a step away from the characters that we have come to know in the first two books, to give us John Smith and Shelly Hampton’s story."You’re… the only thing… I know."John just like all the other Lazarus su...

3.75 ''a little bit far fetched but what the hell, I liked the characters'' stars I really liked the characters. The heroine was strong and smart but also 'soft' as to say, in right moments, feminine but didn't take shit from anyone. Just how I liked them.I also liked the hero, he was possessive but what I absolutely LOVED about him was that he never took her choice from her, he never took her will power from her. He would respect her wishes and t...

Yet another story about those who were part of the Lazarus programme this time not only do we get to know new characters but it's set at Christmas so lots of lovely warm feels as well as suspense. John is very different to other survivors we have met in this series as he has very strong memories of a woman who means the world to him. He's followed his instincts and tracked her down but the woman in question not only doesn't know him but from thei...

I’m absolutely in love with this series and Stay With Me only solidified that for me.After experiencing so much loss over the past year, Shelly heads to her mountain cabin to find some peace and solitude. At the local bar she meets John who insists that they know one another. She assures him they do not but he doesn’t accept her answer easily or at all really. When he rescues her from several attempts on her life, the fear that overwhelmed he...

Stay With Me was fantastic. I loved John, even as my heart broke for him and what he was put through. This is a holiday read, but it didn’t skimp on the action, suspense or mystery. It was hot, sweet, fun and a wild ride! I definitely recommend to fans of this series, and for anyone looking for an edgier holiday read.

There’s always something about this series that I find constantly hovers on the edge of the hysterical. I think my biggest problem really, is the gradual departure from the realism that the story starts out with. Everything is writ so large, sometimes to the point where I can lose that ability to suspend disbelief: the insane villains so stylised that they can be out of an opera, the alpha, over-the-top hero and a heroine can sometimes manage t...

When a handsome stranger appears in Shellys life, she doesnt know what to think of him. Big, capable and intense. When he saves her life she becomes unable to turn him away, but shes not prepared for what this will mean. John woke up with no memory of his life before, but he knew one thing, and how to find her.. PNR action, suspense and smutty fluff in an awesome combo! Love this series!Disclaimer; I was fortunate enough to get a copy for free, b...

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:I. Loved. John. Smith. This is the most passionate, endearing, most swoon worthy story in Cynthia Eden's OUTSTANDING Lazarus Rising series. The way the story starts had me instantly on alert. I loved how John Smith was so determined to protect and care for Shelly. The way he remembered her when none of the other Lazarus subjects could remember anything from their lives really intrigued me. I could tell right away...

This story was too similar to the last one. Wasn't crazy about the h. The last part of the story was a disaster. The villain and the surprise twist of another accomplice was a complete disappointment.

This novella is part of the Lazarus Rising series. John Smith has escaped from the lab where he’d been an experiment. He doesn’t remember anything from his life, not even his name, but he remembers Shelley Hampton.Shelly has returned to the town she grew up in, planning to spend Christmas alone in the remote family mountain cabin, although she is the only family left; her father is dead and her brother was murdered. A family friend, who owns ...

Stay With Me by Cynthia Eden is part of the Lazarus Rising Series but is the most separate book of the series. I don’t think I could have been more surprised than when I realized John has not been with the main characters in the first two books. It is vague as to how he wound up in the experiment at all. Did this take away from my overall enjoyment of the story, not at all. Instead, I found it intriguing to wonder how many more “super” men ...

This one was a bit different for the Lazarus Rising series. Unlike all the other test subjects, our guy has a memory when he wakes in the lab. It's of Shelly. He's drawn to her. Needs to find and protect her. It's like he has a radar on her because he finds her. He thinks she knows him but she doesn't. That sets him back a minute. But he realizes she's in danger and protects her. It's thought that he died from a hunters rouge shot when he saves S...

"I think you'd make a really good hero, and I could use one of those." This book, like all of Cynthia Eden's books, was absolutely incredible. I have been a huge fan of the Lazarus Series thus far, and I didn't expect anything to change with Stay With Me. And holy cow, was I not disappointed! John escaped from from the Lazarus testing facility he was being kept in, without a name or a past, and went out in search of the one thing that kept him ho...

So awesome. Full of suspense, action and sex. I believe this is my favorite out of this series so far.Shelly goes to her family’s cabin for the holidays. She lost her brother not long ago and they haven’t found out who killed him yet. John is one of the Lazarus projects and the only thing he remembers is Shelly. He knows she’s in trouble so he finds her and saves her twice. She’s afraid at first but realizes he’s a good guy and only wan...

I love Cynthia Eden books she is able to bring feisty characters and create twist that readers will never see coming. Stay with Me can be read as a stand alone novel it has ties into the Book 1 and 2 but not until the end of the story. The story was well paced, the romance was insta love which seems to be the normal for Cynthia Eden books recently. The story moved along fast not giving readers into time to digest what was happening until the very e...

That is how I feel about Cynthia Eden’s suspense thrillers!!!Stay With Me is the third instalment in the Lazarus series and I loved it! An engaging novella…This is the third book in the Lazarus Rising series, a novella that can be read as a standalone. The past year has been hard on Shelly Hampton and she’s gone to her family’s mountain cabin to elude the holidays which she has no feeling for, reeling from death takes away the joy. One day while in town she’s accosted by a strange intense man who believes she knows him, though he seems a bit familiar she has no idea who he...

A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I almost always love Cynthia Eden's books and this one is really good! I rate it a 4.5. This is part of a series but it reads well as a stand alone book. This has a bit of a complex plot but it's still heartwarming. Sometimes you just need to follow your heart. She's had a rough year and just wants to heal. Lived it. I think most romance readers would enjoy this book.

Merry Christmas from John and ShellyA very suspenseful and thrilling Christmas novel. This novel has such a great plot that it will keep the reader's interest and attention until the very end! John and Smelly have such an unusual connection but it works in their favor. Two lonely and lost people meet and do fall in love 💘 but the road getting there is full of action, excitement, adventure, and romance. A 👍 great read.

I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down until I finished. Shelly is at her family cabin visiting. She meets a stranger that insists he knows her. Why does he know so much about her? My heart went out for John Smith. There's so many twists to this story and I went through so many emotions. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

This is the weakest story in this series. It really does nothing to advance the story that theoretically ties the series together.
