This is the 28th book in the Argeneau series and Sands is still writing strong original plots that keeps the reader captivated by her storytelling.Jess is trapped into attending a family destination wedding, only to find that she and her (not favorite) cousin have somehow been convinced to take a tourist trap of a pirate ship filled with blood sucking vampires. Jumping overboard, Jess decides to swim for it only to be rescued by an amazingly sexy...

Reading any book in Argeneau series is like dining at a chain restaurant. It is not going to be a gourmet meal but you did not go in looking for one. If you did, that is strictly your problem and you should seriously work on your education/perception of the world. There is comfort and ease to the favorite fast food meal. Most likely it's not particularly nutritious but it's what you needed that moment and it fills your belly for time being and you...

Ok, I normally do not grab vampire books and I definitely would not step into a book series at number twenty-eight.... But the blurb grabbed me and I clicked to get it. I was very happy and surprised by how much I enjoyed this book!Jess is trapped in a family destination wedding with her dreaded cousin. After taking a seaquarium trip, her cousin was talked into taking an additional trip to witness shark feeding. The captain has a certain swagger ...

#28 and I'm still reading this series! Formularic they may be but, damn they are almost always so good!! Interesting characters, funny plots and cool hijink abound. This one has a twist I didn't care to see at first, but Sands opened it up to even more Immortals I'd love to have find their true lifemates. We are headed to the South American region soon and I cant wait to see who kicks butt and takes names there.

I received an ARC of this title from Edelweiss for an honest review.I'm not sure why I keep reading this series. I've found the past..probably 5 to be ridiculous beyond belief. But still I read. This one is better. It wasn't quite as ridiculous, though I did question the female MC's decisions quite a few times.

The Argeneau series was one of the first series that introduced me to urban fantasy/vampire romance and on top of everything it was hilarious in places, sadly the series has never returned to that level of entertainment but it is still entertaining since I hardly sat the book down in spite of the weakness of the heroine and the eye rolling Captain. This whole seems to revolve around a plot for vampires to feed off of humans, there is a reason for ...
  • Sissy's Romance Book Review
Vampires Like It Hot by Lynsay Sands is book 28 in the Argeneau series. This is the story of Raffaele Notte and Jessica 'Jess' Stewart. This can easily be a standalone book for sure. Jess is on the Island for a family's designated wedding. There on the island she gets stuck with a unruly spoiled cousin who ends up getting them on a vampire pirate ship. Raffaele is helping family when they find that there are some immortals using the local humans ...

See the full review at HarlequinJunkie.comSweet and sultry, funny and touching, Vampires Like It Hot brought the action level down a notch from previous books, and in a nice change of pace, piled on the emotions instead.I always have a good time reading Lynsay Sands’ work. But there’s something about the crazy-hot immortals she writes about in this series that never ceases to entertain. This particular book was somewhat different than the las...

I received this as an arc and OMG i LOVED it! Even though this is book 28 it doesn't feel like torture and that the author is dragging it out just for the sake of money, this book is legit awesome like all the others. The witty one liners in this book are amazing and had me laughing the entire time I read it- especially the nickname that Jess makes up for "hot naked Raff". Raff saved Jess from Vasco and Cristo and repeatedly made sure everything ...

what can I say another hot immortal story by the queen of hot vamp romance!I liked this one! More I think than one of the last few. I mean I love all her books, it's the series.that got me reading vamp romance. This one seems a bit longer and more involved than some of them were and I loved the pirates! So funny! I hope we can hear more about Vasco in a future story and his corrupt father too! He needs to take him down! Anyways if you haven't rea...

Raffaele is such a caring man, “ of course she’s not all right. Look at her, she’s white as a sheet,” Raffaele growled, and then offered Jess a pained smile and suggested, “Try to take slow and steady breaths, my love. Deep breaths, give your brain a chance to process.” I don't think Raffaele knows how to handle his woman's actions at times, "Raffaele opened his mouth, closed it, and then groaned and leaned his forehead on hers. “Yo...

Another good book in the Argeneau series. The plot continues with the immortal theme and adds a new twist to the rogues which I particularly liked. Saying more would be a spoiler so I'll just leave it at I enjoyed this paranormal romance. Immortal Raffaele rescues Jess from the ocean when she was fleeing from vampires she saw.
3.5 starsA long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, this series was actually funny. Now it seems to rely on making a character out and out stewpid for laughs. I skimmed over it when I first got it, and have spent the last day or so (while reading it) mentally ranting. So let's see...our heroine (spineless professional student who can't seem to tell people NO up until near the end) is in Punta Cana for a "destination wedding" (code speak for bridez...

3.5-4 starsThis was a pretty good story. I did like it but I'm not much on love triangles so that dampened my enjoyment a bit.Jess is a bartender and counselor while she goes to school. Jess lost her family early and went into the Foster care system. She experienced some bad crap but did eventually get adopted by a couple that loved her and gave her a good home and extended family. Raffaele is an Architect as well as being in a band and is over 2...

Jess is at an island resort for her cousin’s destination wedding when the bride’s sister drags her on to a pirate ship. Supposedly they were going to go feed sharks. She’s not thrilled to be there and the people on the boat seem to be acting really weird. When she walks in on what looks like a vampire feeding on a man’s private parts she’s horrified. She’s then corralled into the captain’s quarters and pretty much told that the capt...

Before I talk about the book, I just want to say that I love this series. I can't say objectively that these are literary classics in the academic sense, but I will say that it is one of the top series I read just because I've grown so attached to this world and the characters who inhabit it, and this despite the fact that I'm not primarily a romance fan. I used a post my reviews of every Argeneau book on Lynsay Sands website before that forum ex...
  • The Book Junkie Reads . . .
My first thoughts upon get through was fun, flirty, interesting, and hot. Jess was the product of her family life. She was also not very happy in that life. She had to be lure/tricked/dragged on a family outing. The outing from hell. The outing that left her near drowned and in the arms of a stranger(s), Raffaele Notte. Raffaele did not anticipate finding a woman near drowned. He did not anticipate that said woman to be the mate for his life. He ...

  • WTF Are You Reading?
Actual Rating: 3.5 StarsVampires Like It Hot, the 28th book in the famed Argeneau series. Finds Raffaele Notte playing the rather besotted "white knight immortal" to one very interesting damsel in JessicaOpen, adventurous, and very self aware. Jess, as she is called for most of the read; has also managed to become the possible "life mate" to not one, but two immortal beings. One being a rude, crude, slightly greasy, and very persistent "vampirate"...

HUMOROUSLY BRILLIANTAnother Great Argeneau episode by Lynsay Sands, where we see some tense areas, not as much as previous episodes, but we have some pretty humorous areas with the way immortal 'PirateVampire' Vasco speaks to student holidaymaker Jess whose gone to Punta Cana for her cousin's wedding & went on to the ship for a 'feeding' expedition but not in the way they thought but she see's & decides to get away in any which way. And she comes...

I need to start by saying that this book is number 28 in the Argeneau  series- I know, long series! I did not realise when I requested this book through Edelweiss. While I feel that I would have benefited from reading the previous books in the series, there was enough information woven through that gave enough back-story to be able to enjoy this book. I really did enjoy this book.Who knew Vampirates was a thing! Well written with sexiness, fant...

Once the word Vampirates was uttered I knew the rest of the book was going to be fun, because how could it not!I liked how down to earth Jess was, how down to earth Jess was despite dealing a horrible family member and finding out vampires are real. When the shark feeding tour came up it seemed very ominous, then with what happened to Jess it seemed like a boat filled with evil, but funny rouges. I hated that Jess had to get away like she did, bu...

I enjoyed Raff and Jess's story. Jess found her self-drawn to two men who were possible lifemates but luckily for Raff, Vasco was vulgar and even though she was drawn to him when he tried to kiss her or touch her but then he would open his mouth and ruin it. So as soon as she had the chance she escaped and then was saved by Raff who also figured out she was a possible life mate. Jess was drawn to him and couldn't stay away he was sweet, caring an...

Love Love Love This SeriesVampires Like It Hot by Lynsay Sands is terrific. Raffelle is one of the older immortals and has waited a really long time for his lifemate. When he rescued Jess from the ocean he had no idea what he'd have to go through trying to win her heart. I love the entire Argeneau series. With every book the series grows and the laughs and hot characters follow. It's amazing how the characters interconnect. This series is one tha...

3.5 starsFast paced and a lot of fun, fans of the Argeneau series will enjoy the latest installment in the series, where immortal Rafe saves a human named Jess from a crew of pirate vampires. I did feel that parts of the story-line was a bit uneven ((view spoiler)[bad guys are a room away & the heroine stops to take a bath; minutes after meeting the good guys, Jess tells them that she was physically, mentally & sexually abused as a child, as if i...

I love Lynsay's writing style, how she never takes it too seriously, therefore I can always guarantee a nice light read - and a bit of escapism. Once again we are thrown into the immortal world, and she doesn't disappoint with her witty one liners and heated scenes. I'm not giving anything away, apart from it's a must for any Argeneau Fan. There are characters in this one where you don't like them at the beginning but feel sorry for them by the e...

LOVED IT!!!!! Picked up a copy of the book. Couldn't put it down until I finished it. Sent the children off to school. Sat out in the backyard and read it all. Pirates Vampires in Punta Cana, who knew that a destination wedding trip and a vacation could turn into finding lifemates? Not only one mate could be two. What fun for Jess and Raffaele. Then there is Captain Vasco and crew, who is something else Waiting for Santo's book. He needs help dea...
