2.5 StarsI was irritated while reading this book. I wanted to stop after reading the 8th page because the FMC was just too stupid. She goes on a magical retreat because she doesn't know anything about magic but she's convinced there's some magic in her. So she goes and when she gets there she's told the retreat has been canceled but is given the option to observe what they are about to do as they don't usually allow novices to participate. Anyway...

The first 40% of the book are slow and almost annoying...Penny acts like a 13 year old brat...Her mother is a hoot... Damn the woman can talk shit and she is a bad ass... Then the story picks up and after Penny ambrace her magic and talent is amazing seeing her work with Emery... Their connection is amazing. Will read the next book!!

Set in the same world as the Fire and Ice trilogy, this spin-off is even better. I'm looking forward to the next two books.

What often put me off in a book is the characters’ illogical actions whose roles are merely to push the story forward. You can request a free sample for chapter 1, in which Penny’s thoughts and actions extremely confused me, then decide whether to buy the book or not. #disappointed #not_funny #I_cannot_understand_you_Penny

Wow. Just wow. I really loved the Fire and Ice trilogy and was actually sorry to see that they were wrapped up so well because I wanted MORE of this world of magic and vampires and unicorns and the like. K.F. Breene delivers in her newest book Natural Witch where we get to find out Penny's story. She was briefly in Raised in Fire and again in Fused in Fire and hints were given to her being indebted to Darius but now we find out why. On the run fr...

Loved her Choosen series hopefully this one is as good! Release date January 30, 2018! Review to follow.

Mixed feelings about this book. The first quarter was far too slow and I could not rely on the main character at all. Indeed she is in the shadow of her mother every time they are together and her mother is quite unpleasant, not because she is presented as a bad person but because she is presented as a good one, while being a bad one. The main character is 24, her mother doesn't let her have her own place, make her own decision, work the way she ...

DNF at 41% at first I thought that I didn’t like it just because I didn’t understand it well since I read it so fast, so I went back to the beginning and reread it. but no. it’s just that bad, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m really enjoying this author & of course - N POOLE is the narrator - she’s fantabulous! ☺ I’m really enjoying this author & of course - N POOLE is the narrator - she’s fantabulous! ☺️

Fab read, loved all the characters and there were plenty to sink your teeth into. Adored the mum. Looking forward to the next book.

I’m so excited that KF Breene decided to keep going with this series. I have read all her books, and this series became my favorite. This story is great. Penny is an awkward, sheltered woman who is trying to figure out about herself and her magical powers. When she meets Emery, her world is turned upside down. This story is full of action, lots of laughs, and awesome characters. I highly recommend it!

Just okI really wanted to love this book like I do the authors Darkness and Warrior series but it was just eh. I enjoyed that it is a spin off of another of her series Fire and Ice and hope to see more crossover with the characters. The first half of the book was entirely to long and not edited well, with most of it primarily Penny talking to herself about how crazy/stupid she was. I didn't like all her self doubt and found it hard to get her att...

Great StartThis was a great start to a spin off. When reading the original series, Penny didn't intrigue me. I am happy I have the book a chance. Penny is hilarious and is learning to have some self confidence. Looking forward to Natural Mage.

3 Stars I debated giving this 2 1/2 stars but I was feeling unusually generous so I bumped it up. I enjoyed the premise of the story but the authors attempt at making the MC sheltered and naive failed. Instead, she could easily be mistaken for a 5yr old that lost her mommy, not a 24yr old grown woman . There were also periods where the story dragged on with pointless inane dialogue that was, I guess, supposed to be cute?... I'll continue the ser...

I was so excited to read this book. KF Breene’s Fire and Ice trilogy was awesome so I knew this book would be great as well. I loved the storyline, the writing and the characters. Penny and her mom were such great characters. They were hilarious and pretty bada**. Her mom was so overbearing which made for some pretty funny moments. I liked Emery as well. He is a powerful natural. He has some issues he needs to overcome and I’m looking forward...

Penelope (Penny) is a weird girl with a horribly overprotective mother. She does and says the oddest things. She feels things in the world around her, but that’s not normal right? So she hides her strangeness under a rock, until she braves a chance to break away from her mother to see what all this strangeness is about. Opening scene Penny is on her way to a Magic Retreat that goes terribly haywire. Here is where she realizes she has a boatload...

The beginning chapters read a bit confusing to me. There also seemed to be a few pages missing or something? When Emery comes to her house and they decide she's to leave with him, something happens and when she comes to Emery tells her she's been asleep for 3 days? I re-read a few times and couldn't figure out what happened as there didn't seem to be any explanation. When she leaves with Emery all of a sudden this very sheltered young woman is to...

This is book 1 in a new series from K.F. Breene, which is a spin off from her Fire & Ice Trilogy, which although it can be read on its own, I highly recommend you read these first, its a fantastic series that I didn't want to end, so I was over the moon to learn about this spin-off, and let me tell you, it is fabulous!!!We first came across Penny in the Fire & Ice Trilogy, she was the girl with innate natural magical ability, but not really ready...

Natural Witch is a continuation to the D. D. V. N. World (Fire and Ice Series)...The main character Penelope Bristol, who goes by just Penny is a 24 year old young woman... and she know that she has special abilities like being able to know what was just delivered in the mail box, or what her friend is doing or going to say.. she calls it her third eye ability.. she is a fortune teller at a fair ground during the days and does her best at telling...

For those who are unfamiliar with KF Breene, she is brilliant with her witty, snarky, kick ass female protagonists with hunky, sultry male counterparts, and Natural Witch certainly contains both of these. Penny, the protagonist, is a bit different since she is much more reserved and downright awkward at times, but Breene's sass still can't help but become apparent from the get go. Penny was originally introduced during the Fire and Ice series, al...

This is a spinoff from K.F.’s Fire and Ice Trilogy but you don’t have to read the first series (even though I highly recommend it because it is amazing!!!) in order to fall in love with Penny and Emery. To be honest, I did not think I would like Penny. She’s not like the strong female leads that K.F. usually writes but she surprised me in all the best ways! Penny is new to the world of Supernaturals. In fact, she is thrown in and issued a c...

"Natural witch" is the first book in a trilogy set in KF Breene's DDVN world. It's told mainly in 1st person from the heroine's perspective, with some chapters told in 3rd person from the male counterpart. It's a gripping story about Penny, a young woman discovering her exceptionally strong and unique magical talent, which suddenly makes her a powerful and desireable pawn in this new society she is thrown into. In "Natural Witch", we meet the mag...

This was an excellent book and Breene once again hooked me in a world that I want to be part of and created characters that were fun to read about. I laughed and smiled so many times while reading this book. The author really has a way of writing a story that is easy to get sucked into. I loved everything about this book and now I have to wait until the next one comes out!Natural Witch is about a young woman named Penny who finds herself a bit st...

New series from K.F. that delves deeper into the world from the Fire and Ice Trilogy but don't worry you don’t have to read that series to follow the events of Penny's story (I do recommend you read it because it extremely entertaining)! The story revolves around Penny, a girl who has always been the odd one out or the strange one. She's always getting into predicaments and no matter how hard she tries to correct things it only gets worse. Then...

I have to admit like most people I have my favourite book characters. So I wouldn't say I was completely excited about this new book. That was until I started reading it.As always K.F. Breene's writing is a complete experience. It's not just a story on some pages. You see it all unfolding. Everytime I have read one of her books (and I have now read ALL of them several times) I find myself lost in the world the story is about. I am certain I could...

This is the first book a new series that is within the same world as the 'Fire & Ice Trilogy'. It has some crossovers of characters, Penny, it turns out, is the 'Natural Witch' that Reagan found hiding in a closet in the Church with the Zombie Witches 😂Penny doesn't 'know' about the supernatural world. She wasn't aware that she was a natural with magic she just felt like something was missing & that magic was that thing, she had no idea what s...

**Received an ARC for a fair and honest review**Natural Witch is the first book in the Magical Mayhem series, but it is also a spinoff of the Fire and Ice Trilogy. You do not need to read the Fire and Ice trilogy first, however, there are questions that get answered and things that get somewhat continued in Natural Witch. This is Penny's story, the witch that you learn about, and see her begin to learn about her powers in the trilogy. In Natural ...
