Reviews Murder Girl (Lilah Love, #2)

  • Eve Recinella (Between The Bookends)
This is going to be kind of a short review as I don't want to give anything away, and basically everything I said about book one applies to this book as well. It was a fantastic book. Well written. Fast paced. It was teeming with twists and turns, and intrigue. Lies. Secrets, and betrayals. Thankfully, we are given some answers to the questions we were left with in book one, but some remain. On top of that, we are left with a whole slew of new on...

OMG I love her twisted mind. Awesome book! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Such a horrible name for a book, don’t you think? Unless you are looking at the sequel to the story about FBI agent Lilah Love. And if you have read the first book, Murder Notes, then you will understand why this book is named such as it is.I’m so happy to be able to review this new book as the first book just blew me away. But make sure you have your head in the right place...

Book #2 starts right where we left Lilah in book #1!She just arrived at Kane's to see the boss of the Romano cartel bound and gagged in his garage! What is happening? And why doesn't Kane want her to dig any deeper into the tattoo and the killings and everything that happened back then? But Lilah is not giving up.Added to her Kane troubles, her colleague and ex lover Rich is now in the Hamptons too - sent by her boss to help. But she can't have Ri...

Honestly, I don’t even know where to start with this review. Lilah was literally all over the map in this one. She was fierce, she was determined, and absolutely no one, friend or foe or family alike was going to stand in her way. While her attitude rubbed me the wrong way pretty much from beginning to end, I absolutely respected the crap out of her. LRJ created one heck of a heroine with this woman and you really don’t have to like her in or...

NOW LIVEAmazon US * Amazon UKMurder Girl starts off where the previous book left us, right in the middle of an intense investigation with Lilah Love. This book takes us deeper into the secrets surrounding Lilah's family and leaves you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Even the ending, which wasn't a full on cliffhanger, will have you dying for more. The suspense is what I loved from the previous story and also what I enjoyed most from...

Agent Lilah Love is back and still at the beginning any closer to finding out who set up Woods and why they are wanting Kane Mendez to take the fall and more importantly who is killing everyone? Murder Girl starts with Old Man Romano tied up in Kane's basement and then learning he doesn't know much either. I have to admit; I wasn't 100% keen on this particular book as It seemed to jump all over the place and was hard to concentrate and find out w...

4 stars.Oh, thank god this didn't end in another cliffhanger. I don't think I could have dealt with another abrupt ending like book #1.So FYI you have to read book #1 "Murder Notes " prior as it is essential reading before starting part two of this romantic suspense. It takes off where the first book ended. Its not like everything is tied up in a nice pretty parcel at the end of this book but its more like these two books are the pilot and startin...
  • Mindy Lou's Book Review
I'm seriously in love with this series! I'm fascinated by the process of watching the main character figure out clue by clue to solve a series of murders, as well as dealing with what happened to her two years prior and how that may be connected. To see how an author can have so much going on in a story and slowly connect everything that happens to the people we get introduced to just has me riveted to the pages. Trust me, you will not be bored w...
  • Sissy's Romance Book Review
Murder Girl by Lisa Renee Jones is book Two in the Lilah Love series. This book is not a standalone book, so you do have to read the previous book 'Murder Notes' first to fully enjoy this book. Lilah is still on the pursuit of a killer and getting the answers she need. There is a underline romance for Lilah but for I felt is was more of a mystery/suspense story. This whole series so far are books that you can't put down and you just want more.......

Oh man! This go round Lisa Renee Jones just solidified that she definitely knows how to do romantic suspense! I fell so far into this story that I lost most of my day to the ins and outs that Lilah Love was weeding through as she tries to solve her case. It was a day well spent.Lilah’s investigation takes her to a place I never imagined. This story goes DEEP into some serious mystery that I won’t spoil. Even as she’s suspecting everyone aro...

FBI Special Agent Lilah Love is back home in the Hamptons, New York following up on a case that is connected to a case she was working on in California. To say Lilah isn't happy to be home would be an understatement but there is one silver lining, Kane. YUMMY! Kane's family shall we say???? ummmm, not clean...yeah that's a good term for it since Lilah's family is supposed to be squeaky clean with them either being in law enforcement or ...
  • Book Him Danno
Murder Girl was a little harder to get into than the first book. The Story seemed to jump around unable to find a focus on one part of the story. The main mystery was very similar to the one in the first book because of the lack of focus by the author this reader started to flip pages homing for the letters that Lilah had been receiving would find a conclusion. Instead the longer bigger mystery is a cliff hanger while the main mystery comes to an...

Holy wow! This was SO good! I don’t have many words yet, my brain is still trying to figure some things out.
  • Rebecca
Murder Girl, the continuation of Lisa Renee Jones’ Lilah Love series is just as captivating and intense as Murder Notes because the closer Lilah gets to unraveling the killer’s mind and following the clues of the case, the more twisted and interconnected those involved become, making it almost impossible to identify the truths amidst the lies and the guilty amidst the innocent and forcing Lilah to take extreme steps to solve this case, even i...

4.5 Stars Murder Girl starts off exactly where Murder Notes ended and Lisa gives a quick review of what happened in Murder Notes just to bring us quickly up to speed in case anything was forgotten. What I love about this series is the suspense and mystery of things and Lilah (I really want inside her head!). Without giving much away in lines of the plot, I will try to be brief which will most likely keep this review very vague in terms of what to ...

I am keeping my description of the plot intentionally vague, so as to not give away any spoilers.Buried in the very glamorous community of Hamptons is a rather sinister secret. It has been festering for years, shaping Lilah Love's life, unbeknown to her. A string of homicides she investigates brings Lilah home, to this secret.Confronting the existence of this secret has been nothing short of life-threatening for Lilah. It has changed the way she ...

This duet not only starts with a bang but it ends with one too. Jones’ storytelling is brilliant. The way she manages to tell a story is mesmerizing. So many intricately woven pieces, finally come together in this riveting finale. Action and intrigue. Danger and excitement. I couldn’t put this one down.Jones has definitely left an opening for more stories within the world of Lilah Love. It’s clear that there is more story to tell here and I...

Murder Girl (Lilah Love #2) by Lisa Renee Jones4 stars!!! “Don’t fuck with the Love family.” Murder Girl continues where Murder Notes left off and I was thankful for the re-cap from Lisa Renee Jones at the very beginning because I must admit, my memory was a little hazy. Much of my review of Murder Notes applies to this book and while we had some questions answered, a slew more were generated. But it is this that keeps those pages frantic...

Murder Girl is the second book in the Lilah Love Series and this series is meant to be read in order. I appreciated the authors recap of book #1, Murder Notes, at the beginning of this book because you do forget a few things along the way but I don't suggest you use it as a cliff notes - you honestly need to read the first book.FBI Special Agent Lilah Love is back home in the Hamptons, New York following up on a case that is connected to a case s...

Reviewed with Great Pleasure,We start as book one finishes, as always with a Miss Jones book we start straight away with plenty of action and some murders committed to start a war between the cartels. Kane Mendez still has a large part to play in Lilah's life. This is action all the way through, and I was riveted by this tortured and brilliant kick ass woman that Miss Jones has created. Quite a bit happens in this episode of...

Whoa Dang! I want more Lilah Love!! We finally have answers! But not all of the answers, in fact, we leave Murder Girl with a few more unanswered questions than we started with, but the anticipation for those answers is so sweet!Murder Girl picks up right where we left of from Murder Notes, and if you read it, you know that was quite the doozy! The plot twists and trying to figure out who the good guys actually are is intense to say the least. Th...

What a crazy twisted book that I absolutely enjoyed. Lilah & Kane I absolutely love together. Lilah can’t trust anyone and is still the target, but there is one person who always has her back and that’s Kane. Lilah is determined to bring the killer down but learns something that puts her in more danger then what she already is. How the ending goes it seems we will get more Lilah & hopefully Kane too.I received this book from Netgalley in exch...

So much was going on in this one and you really don't know who you can trust and neither does Lilah. The more that she investigates the more she realizes that everyone, especially her family, is in deep. By the end of the book it's interesting that Kane, who she knows is a criminal, is the one person that Lilah can trust and Lilah's boss has become a big player in the game. It will be interesting to see where things go from here.

Check out our Murder Girl post on Wicked Reads.Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review TeamMary Jo – ☆☆☆☆Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Ms. Jones pulls a fast one that I didn't see coming. "There's no such thing as a coincidence." Thank you Lisa Renee Jones for the recap at the beginning of Murder Girl to refresh my memory. With so many characters and behind the scenes scenarios to keep straight it was much appreciated. I'm gonna stop you right here and say that if you haven't read Murder Notes, the first book in this series, go back and read that one first. Otherwise, you'll find yourself stepping into the middle of a well established narrative with no idea what's going on or who the players are.I've recently been reading quite a bit of crime fiction centred around female protagonists (Kendra Elliott’s Mercy Kilpatrick and Loreth Anne White’s Angie Pallorin...

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is the second book in the series - and you absolutely HAVE to read Murder Notes first. From page one we are catapulted right back into the crazy that is ...
