Delightfully mesmerizing, positively heartwarming, and absolutely brilliant! The Christmas Sisters is an engaging, beguiling story that sweeps you away to the beautiful ruggedness of the Scottish Highlands in winter and immerses you into the lives of the McBride family as they confront the past, accept the things they cannot change, forgive, accept, repair fractured relationships, take chances, and embrace the future. The writing is expressive, eff...

Yes, I realize that it’s only September and I’m already reading Christmas books and I’m totally ok with that! I’m like a little kid when it comes to the holiday season and I’m always more than ready to get into the holiday spirit, even before fall has officially started haha. The Christmas Sisters was the perfect book to bring the magic of the season to life and it made me even more excited about the holidays than I already am.This foll...

READ MY REVIEW ON THE BLOGI know Sarah Morgan comes highly recommended. I read one other book by her which was more women's fiction than romance which didn't completely work for me because of the four different point of views, alternating telling the story of them. I was bummed when I realized that this one is women's fiction as well, again with four point of views. It's such a shame because, dammit, I want to read a Sarah Morgan romance! All four...

This book was simply brilliant from the first page and didn't want to put ot down the story was so like real life and the characters are brilliant and the story plot is so believable. Perfect Christmas read to curl up in front of a fire and enjoy Christmas. It's all about family life and how all a mother wants is for her children to be happy and in love and enjoy being with each other. Plenty of romance and sisterly love but also heartbreaking an...

I really, really enjoyed this family story and have no hesitation in highly recommending it! The tragedy which led to Suzanne McBride adopting three sisters is still impacting on all of their lives twenty five years later. The three sisters rarely get together now, except for at Christmas. This year, however, things are going to be very different for them all as they discover that assumptions about each other can be so wrong and they all have the...

Three sisters, each thinking that the other has the perfect life but each with their own secrets. Hannah, the oldest, is high up in a management consultant, flying all over the world helping companies work better. She's a genius but, of the three, the most scarred by their parents' death twenty-five years ago. It's led her to a life that is peripatetic with few relationships, even with her sisters. So now that she's got a man who's lasted longer ...

Such a heartwarming read. Really loved this one. Here we have the story of three sisters who faced tragedy as young children. Each were affected differently and as adults they grew apart. In this book, due to certain events, they all decide to return home for Christmas in Scotland. They finally have a chance to heal some festering wounds from their childhood. I really loved this. We get each sisters point of view as well as the mother. I think th...

The Christmas Sisters is a fabulous read. I loved the McBride Sisters, Hannah, Posy and Beth. And, of course, their adoptive parents, Suzanne and Steward. My favorite character would have to be Beth. As a stay at home mom, I definitely understood what she was going through. I honestly was not too cray about Hannah at first but the more I got to know her, the more she grew on me. I loved Posy and her side kick, Bonnie. So sweet. Suzanne and Stewar...

The McBride sisters spend most of their time avoiding one another, but Christmas this year might be different. Why on earth haven’t I read Sarah Morgan’s books before? I may have been on holiday in scorching temperatures when I immersed myself in this book but The Christmas Sisters proves that smashing, feel-good fiction can be read and thoroughly enjoyed at any time of the year.Although all the women in the story are well rounded and realisti...

I own all of Sarah's books and she never disappoints. What a wonderful Christmas story!!Hannah, Bethany and Posey have all lost their parents, at a young age, and Suzanne and Stewart decide to adopt the girls, with no hesitation. Suzanne always wants to have the "perfect Christmas" for her daughter's. This Christmas is not going to go as planned. All three sister's deal with the tragedy in their own ways and each have very individual lives. Posey...

Suzanne and Stewart adopted Hannah, Posy, and Beth when their parents were killed just before Christmas 25 years ago. The holiday always brings up old memories and unfortunately the trauma so every year they get together in Scotland (well, it is home, of course.). Hannah, the eldest, is the most untethered as she's travelled and worked around the world. Beth is the most grounded, as a stay at home mom; she really wants to go back to work but has ...

4.5 StarsThis one will get you into the Christmas spirit. This family only gets together at Christmas and this year it's going to be any interesting one. I like that you get four stories going on at once. The three sisters and their mother. This book will hit you right in the heart. It has the feels times 100. Each sister is struggling with where their life it taking them, but this holiday season may be just the one that heals them from long ago....

I'd probably categorize this more as a book about family and life rather than a holiday romance. But if you're looking for a book about the holiday spirit and family coming back together and sisters, this is definitely one you should check out. There is a lot going on in this book and that's good, because it makes it go quickly, but I almost with it was split into three different books. Then we could get a book for each sister rather than switchi...

I just finished reading this book yesterday and I so hope that this becomes a series of books, because I want to know what happens next for each of the Mcbride sisters, Beth, Hannah and Posy. The story centers around them gathering together for Christmas with their adoptive parents Suzanne and Stewart and the reason each of them has for wanting to be there for the holidays. This story is heart warming and shows love throughout the book, and shows...

I enjoyed this book very much. It revolves around three sisters. They usually only get together once a year for the holidays. Because of a tragedy when they were children there are issues. They find it very hard to confide in and be there for each other. But this Christmas could be different and bring the three closer than they ever have been. A great holiday read.

The McBride sisters couldn’t be more different: analytical and career-driven Hannah, former beauty marketing/PR representative turned full-time mom Beth, and outdoor-loving Posey, helping run her parents’ business. The things that they share in common: a tragic and traumatic past that led to their adoption by Suzanne and Stewart when Hannah was 8 years old, and a predilection for anxiety. The sisters and Suzanne serve as narrators in this hol...

The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan is a lot different than her previous novels. This one is deeper than the others. It has stories from three sisters each with their own issues. Their issues stem from their parents' death and from various other things in their lives. They each struggle with what they want to do, what they should do, and what they actually end up doing. I felt sympathy immediately for these women. They are full grown and still ...

I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading The Christmas Sisters! One family holiday, three very different sisters, plenty of drama & romance...but the strengthening of sisterly bonds is the true gift. I loved the relationships between the sisters and the well developed emotional journeys each character took. So very good! This ARC was obtained thanks to HQN/HarperCollins, in exchange for an honest review.

Well this book gave me a much needed Christmas in July! What a good way to spend a hot day reading a story set in much cooler times. This is a wonderful and heartwarming story about 3 sisters, Hannah, Bethany and Posey, and the tragedy that changed their lives forever so many years earlier. It's about love and family and everything that goes along with that. It's about learning to forgive and move on and form new beginnings with each other. It's ...

Suzanne 's three grown daughters are coming home for Christmas, but when they arrive, things are not as great as she'd hoped. Each daughter is dealing with their own personal problems, so a relaxed and happy holiday may not happen. I really liked this book. It had multiple story lines going, and I liked how all the sisters came together. My first book by this author, and I will be reading more. If you like Susan Mallery, this is a book for you!

Delightful Christmas story. Family can be so challenging and yet there is love as the root of it all. The three sisters couldn't be more different but the bonds are strong. I loved this book 💗
