Not too shabby, huh? It’s all part of my fresh start with the NHL’s latest expansion team, and that means new teammates, a new coach, a new city, and a big new contract. Basically, I cannot f***ing wait to show my old squad what they’re missing....

The Arizona Vengeance Team offers a new cast of characters to explore. Bishop Scott is thrilled to have been picked up by the Vengeance and doesn't waste any time getting acclimated to the nightlife of his new city. After a hot one night stand, he is completely dumbstruck when he di...

Bishop just arrived in Phoenix to play for their new NHL team. He's not really excited about that fact. His NY team was about to have an amazing season. But now that he's here, he might as well make the best of it. Meaning: finding the next willing lady in this bar.Brooke was supposed to meet a new colleague at that bar, but she got stood up. And this hot guy is flirting with her. Is it wrong for a girl to want to have a one-night thing? Nope. Of...

ARC received for reviewBishop, a hot hockey player for a new expansion team, meets Brooke for a one night stand. Next day they meet again and are suddenly engaged thanks to Brooke's father walking in on a torrid kiss. Fake engagement, awesome teammates, crazy friend (or should I say psycho) and lots & lots of hot sex. I forgot something...why not 5 stars? The ending. It just kinda stopped, but it needed an epilogue, in my humble opinion. This is g...

4 starsBishop is the first book in the new hockey series Arizona Vengeance by Sawyer Bennett and I really enjoyed it.The storyline is well written, well paced and I ended up reading it in one sitting.Bishop and Brooke may have started out as a one night stand but after they agree to their little arrangement it quickly starts to develop into something both where not looking for but why not enjoy and explore this attraction while they could ;) I lo...

2 1/2 stars. I feel like there is an off-putting pattern in the last few Bennett books that I have read. The heroes are all crude pigs. I think they're supposed to be Alpha but instead, they come across to me as crass a$$holes. Take Bishop for instance. He goes along with Brooke's lie to her father, which basically is supposed to be to protect him, and then pretty much TELLS her they will be having sex while maintaining said lie. His internal dia...

What a great start to the new Arizona Vengeance series! Bishop was an easy and entertaining sports romance that I devoured. The fake fiance trope is always fun, and Bishop and Brooke's story is no exception. What starts out as a one night stand, snowballs into a fake relationship, until the lines between make believe and reality blur.Bishop evolves a great deal through the book. He starts as the typical manwhore professional athlete (ugh), but wh...

3.5 to 4 starsNew City: Phoenix. New Team: Arizona Vengeance. New Men...starting with Bishop's story.Bishop Scott was traded to the new expansion team from New York along with his best friend and room mate, Dax. He is charismatic, handsome, and funny, but he is also a bit alpha and a dirty-talker. What he has not been is relationship material and is usually a one-and-done kind of guy.But one night he meets Brooke Perron in a bar and is drawn to h...

"While I'm fucking stunned over how much I enjoyed these last few days with Brooke, I'm also freaked out over how much I enjoyed these last few days with Brooke." How thrilled I was when I learned that Sawyer Bennett was writing another hockey series. I'm a huge fan of her Cold Fury series and was sad when it was over. What a fun new twist Bishop has taken, the #FakeFiancé route. Even though I knew it was coming after reading the synopsis, t...

***4 Stars*** Sawyer Bennett announces a new series? I sit up and take notice. When she announces it’s about hockey players? I make grabby hands at it.And it was all kinds of goodness. It was sweet, very, VERY smexy, funny with a good dose of heart, a dash of batshit crazy and a cast of secondary characters that have definitely peaked my interest and we have a book I thoroughly enjoyed and a great start to a new series!Bishop is a really good m...

*4.5 Stars* ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review. Bishop is the first novel in Sawyer Bennetts new Arizona Vengeance hockey hottie series, and let me tell you, it was so much fun!I sped through this book in a day, and I loved getting to know Bishop and Brooke, and also some of the other members of the Vengeance. B and B work together perfectly, and while the whole thing starts off as a fake engagement, you realise very fast that ...

I love sports romance, hockey in particular. I’ve read loved everyone of Sawyer Bennett’s Carolina Cold Fury series, and her new hockey series following new expansion team the Arizona Vengeance has started off with a fantastic story following Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron. I have been following the real life NHL expansion team the Vegas Golden Knights all year (who doesn’t love the underdog) and I’ve got to say I feel exactly the same wa...

LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVEDThere's so much more to this story than the blurb implies. Bishop was one of the those characters that at times you loved him and at times you hated him. Especially when he all but demanded a friends with benefits arrangement so he could benefit from Brooke's lie. You want to hate him right then and there, I mean who wouldn't right? But then he redeems himself realizing he was talking out of anger and hadn't meant what he s...

Brooke has no filter, "...I’ve had three of these daiquiris and I’m feeling frisky. Do you have any interest in getting out of here?” ****s effing *****t. I just scored the jackpot of all jackpots." Brooke can see through her man, “I wouldn’t have thought that,” I assure her. Another c*** of the eyebrow. Da*n, she’s not believing much of what I say." Brooke doesn't mind compromising on some things, “I’m not getting drunk,” I a...

I received a copy via NetGalley and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own. Having fallen in love completely and madly with Sawyer Bennett's Cold Fury Hockey series, I was over the moon that she was giving us a new hockey series full of book boyfriends to drool over and sassy heroines to love. So I began reading Bishop, the first book in the Arizona Vengeance, with a happy heart and over excitement to see where Sawyer was leading u...

3.5 stars!I wonder when Sawyer Bennett will ever tire of writing novels surrounding hockey players? I’ve read a couple of her books in the Carolina Cold Fury series here and there, and BISHOP follows the same flirty and romantic lines. I also commend her on her research about the behind-the-scenes surrounding the game. It was interesting to see Bishop’s pregame routine and minor details that added to the competitive atmosphere. This fake-enga...

3.5Requested and received an ARC from Netgalley.I won’t lie and say this covers any new ground in the “fake fiance” trope but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. It’s cute that these two think this fib is gonna be over and done in a few weeks. Bishop seems to fight the inevitable longer than Brooke does, but his efforts are weak at best. For the most part this book is just a solid enjoyable romance with a cast of hockey players I c...

5 star Review Bishop (Arizona Vengeance #1) by Sawyer BennettThis is the first book in a new series from Sawyer Bennett and she is off to a flying start and I do believe she has another winning series on her hands. This is Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron’s story. This is hockey at it’s finest. I loved the dynamic between Bishop and Brooke, he is sexually dominant and knows what he wants and goes after it. Hooking up for what they both expect to...

I wanted to like this one more than I actually did. Usually I love hockey books, but I found Bishop pretty one dimensional. I thought that he went from not wanting to be with her forever to full tilt in love... and I couldn't figure out how that happened. I did end up skimming a bit, which tells me that the book wasn't for me. But I finished it, which is better than some others I won't name... And you know it's not a good sign when, for the life ...

I loved it! Great start to a new hockey series by this author. A hot one-night-stand that turns into a fake relationship that turns into LOVE! What's not to like about that. Bishop and Brooke are great together. We meet quite a few of the teammates as well and they all look interesting. Can't wait to see their HEA as the series progresses. Great hockey. Great steamy romance. Loved Bishop the best --perfect book boyfriend material! *Complimentary ...

It’s been a minute since I’ve read a Sawyer hockey book. Dayum I forgot how hot and sexy her hockey players are. Bishop and Broke started off with a bang and they never got boring. I thought it was a pretty good fake fiancé story. Of course there’s other hockey hotties that I can’t wait to read about. I’d say the only thing that threw me was the ending. It just sorta stopped, abruptly. I was bummed that there was no epilogue, but that...

Not overly thrilled with this nook. It was an ok read. I really didn’t get into the characters. They seemed flat and their dialogue and actions almost cookie cutter. Bishop didn’t really stand out to me as someone I would like to spend time with. They both assumed that everyone around them was stupid and wouldn’t see through them. There is a ton of sex and it seemed like the story was fit around it. I love hockey and have read a few hockey ...

A new hockey series and a new team of players for sports romance fans to delight in. I’m not a fan of book that starts with a bang, literally, and such stories can cause me to quickly lose interest. Add to that a new series with unknown characters and it can take me some time to settle in to a story, and that’s exactly what happened with Bishop. I was expecting the usual light hearted banter and hockey themed romance but Bishop is more like C...

Sawyer Bennett does it again! Bishop is the perfect man to launch this new franchise, Arizona Vengeance, and new series—strong and sexy, yet sweet and caring. And Brooke—smart, self-sufficient, down-to-earth and kind—is his perfect counterpart. I’ve been a long-time fan of Bennett’s Carolina Cold Fury series and it’s exciting to join a new team at the onset of its journey. ‘Fake relationships’ is one of my favorite tropes, yet the...

Nobody mixes this sort of blistering heat and heartfelt emotion like Sawyer Bennett does. I mean, I approached this book a little skeptical. I adore Ms. Bennett's Cold Fury series, so I know she can write the heck out of a hockey book, but this one didn't grab me right away and I was afraid I was maybe in for all sexy times and no substance.Wrong.It starts with heat. And like....homina heat. And then it takes a while for things to, well, heat up ...
