Cards of Love by Ella Fox

Cards of Love

Jackson Howell was tall, dark, handsome- and the single most annoying person I'd ever met. Our fathers were best friends, but that didn't mean a thing to us. It seemed like he lived to prank me, and I always responded with anger. On the first day of preschool, he'd dumped a pail of sand down the back of my favorite yellow dress. In tenth grade, he started a rumor that I had a virginity pact with Jesus. It took almost the whole year for someone to ...

This is one of those books that I expected to love, but that ended up falling flat for me which is disappointing. I'm a huge fan of Ella Fox's work. However, this one didn't hit the spot for me like her other books. Somehow the connection was not there and I couldn't get into it for some reason. Looking forward to the next one Until Mallory by the same author!

4.5 starsSo much sweetness from this story. Soulmates who had to work their way to each others arms. I LOVED every minute of it.-no cheating -no ow/om drama-dual virgins-no violence -ok epilogue 2 years out. Definitely wanted more of their HEA

This one was OK. I don't like virgins AT ALL, but these two were young (21?), so at least it had a bit of believability to it. My main issue was with it was it was too short to get connected to the story or the characters. Plus, I thought Chloe was a spoiled little biatch, and if I had been Jackson I would have told her to go f-ck her own prissy stuck up ass and moved on to greener pastures. But I am in a grumpy mood lately...*lol*

This one hit all the Sweet Little Read marks for me! Fated to be each other’s soulmates, how could I not ADORE that?! Wheel of Fortunate hit just the right spot for me and just what I needed in between longer and angstier reads. The tarot and fortune teller aspect was PERFECTLY woven with the couple’s story line and I just loved the mystical side of it! That they were each other’s one and only and all they could see since they were kids eve...

4:5 stars Short and sweet. And oh so hot. I love stories about fate. This didn’t feel cheesy at all like some novellas so. It just felt right
  • Astraycat
I liked the plot. Hope there's more details after they got together.

The blurb is more exciting than the book.

3.5 StarsJackson Howell has been drawn to Chloe Holland their entire lives. While his need to constantly try to get her attention leaves her always angry with him, he can't figure out how to get her to see how much he truly likes her. Finding encouragement for his dilemma in the least likely of places... the local fortune teller, Jackson accepts that his love for Chloe being reciprocated is going to take a lot more time than he realized.~~~~~~~~...

Short and sweet. The hero and heroine are both virgins yet this novella is oh so hot !!!Jackson and Chloe are destined to be soulmates, as their fathers are BFFs and they Jackson and Chloe have known each other since they were 3 years old . Their relationship has been challenging for many seemed like they were enemies or were they ?Their relationship moves from friends to lovers which leads to a sizzling and entertaining romance novel...

This was a quick, hot, and also sweet read that took my on a journey of fated love. It wasn't an easy love story and it certainly wasn't insta-love. I really enjoyed this book. It was a different take on the enemies to lovers trope with just the right amount of mystery, angst, and steam. I loved Jackson and Chloe. I recommend going on this journey with them!***ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.***

This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It was one of my favorites in this series. I thought it fit The Cards of Love series very well. It was a quick short read. But it kept my attention from beginning to the very end. I loved the storyline and the characters created.

A wonderful little read!!!!! Jackson and Chloe are soulmates and once they finally accept that and fully understand it, all is right in the world

I know this is a novella but that was the main problem I had with the story. There was soooo much that could have been fleshed out. Instead it came off extremely rushed and I just couldn't connect with the characters and their rushed romance.

Sweet, hot, sexy...Wheel Of FortuneCards Of Love SeriesElla Fox⭐⭐⭐⭐So putting it out there – Tarot cards and fortune telling are not my thing, but Ella Fox definitely is, so while in special on amazon I thought what the hell… Have to say, pleasantly surprised! This was sweet and a little naughty, but told in a novella format, meant it was fast moving and enjoyable.Chloe Holland and Jax Howell have been acquaintances from a couple of y...

Jackson howellchloeRefered to as a "devoted" at the tender age of thirteen by a mystic and his life changes, new meaning and promise shine in his eyes.A mother lost, a deep seated jealous streak borne. A promising friendship destroyed before it could begin.Time apart and her words ring true, change is in the air, forgiveness and love taste beautiful.Oh my, I loved this quick read. I can't get enough of the cards of love series. This is definetly ...

This story was a sweet novella with a shot of heat. "Even though he drove me nuts with his antics, I always chose to do whatever kept him in my orbit."Chloe and Jackson have been enemies since childhood. Or, have they? Growing up, Chloe has had a completely skewed view of Jackson. Unfortunately, Jackson has never been able to put a foot right with Chloe."A devoted exclusively desires one specific soul throughout eternity because that soul belongs...

I voluntarily reviewed and advanced copy of this book. I loved this book, it was sweet, loving and sexy all rolled into one. When you know who you are meant to be with since kindergarten life has a funny way of showing you how to make the girl fall for you. Jax has loved Chloe his whole life, he's done everything in his powers to show her and she wants nothing to do with him. She lashed out and rejects him, not because she doesn't feel the same w...

I love the concept behind the Cards of Love series – so many different genres, even more different authors telling stories which each have a loose connection to one of those cards. Most of these books are of novella-length, as is WHEEL OF FORTUNE. Unfortunately.Because as sweet as this story was, how much I enjoyed the plot despite it being about two virgins (well, two is actually a breath of fresh air), it simply was too short. Too short for m...

I just adored this book! Ella has written a wonderfully sweet "sorta"-friends to lovers, short romance with Wheel of Fortune from the Cards of Love series. Jackson and Chloe are destined to be together forever. Jax knows it deep down, even before he meets with Madame Aria, the local fortune teller. Chloe, on the other hand, has been annoyed by him her entire life. She's all grown up now, and her recent trip to Aria brings her relationship with Ja...

Sweet simple novellas are what I need when I am in a funk. Then to read a book about characters having their cards read, even better. Jackson and Chloe’s story is of a love that begins when they hit pre-school, but they just didn’t know it yet. Chloe and Jax at time as they grew were oil and water. Then when they were in there early teens Jax had his cards read. He was told that he and Chloe have a connection that is soul deep, that when both...

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is a short story that is part of A Cards Of Love Story written by several different authors. It is a very sweet romance with a HEA ending.Jackson has always known there was something special about Chloe. It isn't until they are teens that he discovers how truly special she is to him. Sometimes you have to let someone go in order for them to realize what their soul already knows.Great book....

I loved every minute of this quick and sexy read! It as so amazing! I loved the that they are lovers destined to be together through all of their lives. It was so cool and different. Chloe and Jackson are so great! We get to see them as kids and then as adults! I loved the whole aspect of this story! It was enemies / friends to lovers and I was invested in them. Jackson and Chloe are so sexy and so much fun to read about! You can feel the love th...

Fate... There are sometimes books that come along that completely make you believe in it. Wheel of Fortune is one of those books.Chloe and Jackson are sort of friends, mostly enemies who are meant to be together. When each of them visits a fortune teller, they set out to make the most of their paths. This story was short and very sweet. Jax is absolutely adorable. I finished this book in about an hour or so. These characters just drew me in and I...

When they were younger Jax had tried every way he knew of to get Chloe’s attention and show her how he felt about her but she viewed his actions as tormenting her rather than love and couldn’t leave town fast enough to attend college.Chloe has now finished college and returned home but a tarot reading turns her life upside down and if she is going to achieve her destiny it starts with Jax.Chloe and Jax were soulmates and all they needed was a...

4 starsI have loved this cards of love collection so much. Such fantastic authors with such net variations on stories about the tarot deck. The Wheel of fortune card has always been one of my favorite cards so I was looking forward to this story in particular. It helped that an author is a one click read was writing it. She didn't disappoint. I recommend this for anyone that loves this collection.

Least favorite of the collectionI’ve read all the books in this collection (so far) and this one was by far my least favorite. They are all on the short side, so it’s not just that, but what the authors have done with so few pages. This author did not create a world or characters I felt any connection to. I think if this had been full size, she could have evoked more feelings from me as a reader. As is, I just did not love this one.

*As this is shorter read, and I don’t want to give away too much this will be on the short end.*Ella Fox is a new to me author, and this was a perfect introduction to her as a writer. All the warm fuzzies can be found in these pages, with a fun mystic twist. Soulmates on an other-worldly level, you can’t help but cheer on their love, and enjoy all the teasing that occurs in between. Don’t miss out on this read!

Safe for my safety seeking friendsWow, this was a nice little surprise.I enjoyed this story very much and I found myself wishing for more chapters. I love when h/H grow up together & no one else exists for either of them.-dual virgins-each others one and only-no OM/OW -dual POV-loved how they only had eyes for each other even when they didn't realize it.I can't say this was insta-love but maybe in a way it was. You'll just have to grab this story...
