Amnesia by Jaimie Roberts

Amnesia

I don’t use the term “bully” lightly. However, I have no qualms about using it when it comes to Max Cooper. Arrogant. Aggravating. Annoying. Those are just a few of the names I have for him that start with the letter A. I haven’t gotten through the rest of the alphabet ... yet. From the moment I met Max three years ago, he was nothing but an arsehole. The only reason we put up with each other is because we share the same best friend. Then...

“There’s retrograde amnesia where you lose existing, previously made memories. Then there’s Anterograde, where you can’t form new memories. Then there’s Transient global amnesia where you experience memory loss for some hours. Then lastly there’s Infantile amnesia, which I think a lot of people have. It’s where they can’t remember the first three to five years of their life.” What a ride !! Its guaranteed to alter your perceptio...

3.5 “When did this happen? The point where Max turned from a frenemy to a crush?” StarsThis was a pretty good new adult romantic suspense. It did feel sort of obvious at times WHAT exactly was going on, but the author did a good job throwing red herrings in there so I stayed guessing. We don’t get much of the enemies part in this story, but we know that Max and Lucy haven’t hit it off since meeting three years ago. So when Max loses his m...

The cover whore in me couldn't help but be captivated by this piece of gorgeousness and intrigued by the possibilities. And after reading the blurb, I knew I needed this book in my life, ASAP.Amnesia is a NA romantic suspense with a bit of thriller thrown in for good measure. The suspense and the main character, Lucy, carried me from page one to The End. It was a unique take on the old amnesia romance trope, one that I didn't see coming. not at f...

What. A. Rush. Mind-blowing, thrilling, hot, and completely addictive, Amnesia by Jaimie Roberts was one crazy, wild ride! I grabbed it after reading the blurb and read it in one sitting. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.I really don’t want to go into the plot here, other than what the synopsis tells you. We meet Lucy—who I loved—and her group of friends who she’s known for several years. Unfortunately, her best friend, Ivy, is ...

This was a joyous ride from start to stop and a very engaging read. I had heard a lot of bloggers praising it, so I was super happy when I finally got a chance to read the ARC. And this book definitely lived up to the expectations and succeeded in keeping me engaged throughout the read. That being said - at around 60% of the story I was able to deduce what might have happened in Lucy's past and in the essence for the most part of it I was able to ...

I kept wondering didn't I read that? What's going on? There are so many twists and turns you are constantly shaking your head thinking you missed something then you see the light. Lucy is a quiet girl who always felt like she didn't belong. Someone once told her she just had one of those faces. She always thought that made her invisible to others. When her dad dies and she suddenly is alone and has to live with her Aunt she buries herself into he...

This was one freaking thrill ride, full of twists and turns! You go into the book expecting one thing, only to get another. Then you might think you know what's going on, only to get hit with another surprise. Once I started reading this, I couldn't put it down, I was up till 2am finishing the book. I love a good suspense/mystery/thriller with romance thrown in! I highly recommend this book, and now I'm going to have to go read the other books sh...

Unfortunately I didn't connect with characters, their personalities lacked depth, I didn't feel an ounce of emotion from them. The story was unique, the plot was rather twisted, my kind of book. Sadly I just didn't feel anything!

Title: AmnesiaAuthor: Jaimie Roberts Genre: Contemporary Suspense Romance **RECEIVED FREE COPY FOR HONEST REVIEW**I have never read this author before so after reading the blurb i was really looking forward to hopefully finding a new author to read. Starting off the writing felt immature as if maybe this book was written for a younger reader. Or maybe the author was a fledgling. Anyway, the writing did improve technically. I don't feel there is m...

How I love a story with a plot with lots of twists and turns, and Amnesia didn’t disappoint. When I thought the story was heading in one direction, Ms Roberts throws a curveball and makes you the reader, keep on guessing, which made this story so gripping. The revealing of the puzzle pieces of Lucy’s story, are perfectly timed. My heart broke for her on numerous occasions, so deep was my attachment to her. Amnesia is an enthralling tale of yo...

This Author brought such intense raw emotion to this story. The anticipation from one page to the next was mind boggling, and utterly brilliant! Completely stunned is putting is mildly! Five blazing stars isn't even enough for this book! It is far beyond!

I was given an arc and it was amazing. Jaimie Roberts never disappoints by far my favorite author. This story held my attention the whole way through. I was trying to solve the mystery the entire time. It could have been darker but it was a fantastic read.

Overall this was a pretty decent read and kept me turning pages, finishing it in one go. After meeting her best friend Pixie in college, Lucy quickly becomes part of Pixie’s social circle of 5 other close friends. Always the wallflower this was a wonderful addition to her lonely life. Orphaned at an early age, Lucy loves her new friends, with the exception of Max. For the last three years Max has been quite ugly to Lucy and has gone out of his ...

2.5 starsEh. Kind of neutral on this one. I had a tough time staying engaged in the story. I never felt the connection between the h and H, mostly because the story really hinged the supposed hatred between them, but we never see much evidence of it. It jumps into the 'amnesia' that changes Max's attitude towards Lucy and the mystery regarding their past just didn't draw me in at all. Perhaps I've just become jaded after experiencing too many med...

Well, this book was not at all what I was expecting. I'm not even sure what to say about it because I don't want to spoil anything.Amnesia is a bit different from other books that I've read by Jaimie Roberts. This is a New Adult romantic suspense with a completely different take on a character(s) having amnesia. Lucy is a great main character and she keeps you reading so you can find out with her what in the world is going on and how she will han...

I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book for BMBB. The cover is absolutely stunning!!First book by Jaimie Roberts that I have ever read. Won't be the last. It took me a moment to realize that book is set on London, England. This book is full of twists and turns. I was able to guess something, but not all. I think that the longer the story went the better it got. I liked that there were no lose ends at the end of book. Max seemed nice guy, b...

A brilliant suspense book from Jaimie Roberts, well written and full of twists and turns at every page. I love when Jaimie writes suspense/thriller and this one does not disappoint one bit.The characters of Max and Lucy was intriguing and addictive even if it was a slow build at first, it soon escalated and my heart was in my mouth. They think they know each other but what does life throw at them to make it all change and decimate their lives. Re...
