A lot quieter than the last volume, but not bad. More of Chiwa and Hokuto getting to know each other, and it sets up for two more possible protagonists, which should be interesting. More people are finding out about their marriage, (more than I think have so far other than Hokuto's family, actually), so it should be interesting to see how long they can keep Hokuto's 'bachelor' image going.

I really do love this series! The growing relationship between chiwa and Hokuto is one many can relate to in different aspects. Every relationship has it's trials and this series has done a fabulous job bringing them to light. But it is not just some heavy drama. There are lots of cute and sweet moments and also some more steamy ones! Especially in this volume! It is obvious to the readers that the couple is not very much in love but it is still ...

Aha... sudah masuk lovey-dovey gitu. Sukanya tengok pasangan bercinta. Bravo!

This series was recommended to me by someone on MangaUpdates, I think, when I asked for "classic" Josei.I'll copypaste the following part to all my reviews of this manga, because my main point of critic remains the same: It's annoyingly sexist, to the point where the male MC tells the heroine to shut up or else he rapes her. It was said jokingly, while they were both lying in bed, but seriously, while there are most certainly a lot of words to ex...

And the guilty pleasure keeps going on, though I wish there will be more story progress in the future (I'm afraid I'll get tired of it, lol). In this volume there is only notably the last chapter which indicates the progress of the story, while the rests are still those repetitive clashes and misunderstandings between the two main characters with their significantly different personalities.

see full review @ Katie's CornerThis is my third time reading this manga. And it was one of the firsts I read when I just started getting into manga world. Mostly I remembered this little because of Faster than a kiss. Why? It’s similar in the whole marriage theme, but it’s a josei, so by definition it’s more mature and the relationship is developed in all ways. I love this story for many reasons. The characters are fun; you just can’t no...

Maybe because of the romance? There wasn't much to it.

review for entire series v1-10For a josei title, HM is pretty tame IMO, not in a bad way but if you like the more adult themes, "naughtiness" or darker aspects of other josei titles, HM will probably come off as more of a shoujo work to you.One thing that I enjoy about it is that the male main character (Hokuto) isn't shortsighted in various emotions nor is he a total cardboard cutout figure. In the beginning of the story he completely comes off ...

~4.5/5[Read more at my blog, Geeky Reading!]I absolutely love this series. At this point, it’s one that I reread while smiling, even while trying to review it.The chemistry between Hokuto and Chiwa is amazing. They argue, but they do really love each other. Chiwa is still getting used to the way Hokuto handles things, and how he talks about his feelings, just as he’s getting used to interacting with her. That was really apparent when he got d...

More reviews (and no fluff) on the blog http://surrealtalvi.wordpress.com/ Happy Marriage 5 furthers Hokuto and Chiwa's relationship, though Chiwa still feels very much on unsteady ground. Complications with Hokuto's complex family and Chiwa's own doubts threaten to derail the couple before their marriage can even get started. In this volume, the couple decide to spend a trip away together. But when Hokuto refuses to acknowledge her as his wife to...

I had to take a break from this manga because I hated the previous volume so much. I have to say though that this was a vast improvement. All the complaints I had previously had about this series were basically nonexistent in this one. For the first time in forever, I was really rooting for Chiwa and Hokuto’s relationship. They were actually really cute together and I liked how they were finally making some progress as a couple. There were stil...

In order to help her father out of debt, Chiwa agrees to an arranged marriage with Hokuto, the president of the company she works at.Sometimes I feel as though Hokuto and Chiwa are having breakthroughs in their marriage and then sometimes it really doesn't seem like it. They need to learn to communicate better.(view spoiler)[Also, Hokuto introducing Chiwa as his little sister was a dick move. Poor Chiwa. (hide spoiler)]Drunken Hokuto was by turns...

It's gotten a bit better, actually, with the darker aspect of the Mamiya family. I'm particularly interested in finding out who's Hokuto's mother's real killer. If I were to change anything about this though, is Chiwa's character. I can tell that both she and Hokuto are developing, but it's at such a slow pace that I'm continuously frustrated by how immature she is and the complete lack of faith she has in him. She may be a grown woman, but she ho...

Seems there are 2 copies of this on GR. I wondered why I felt like I had already reviewed it. I think I'll leave both reviews, so this does not happen again.------------------ This series is a personal favorite. I love seeing the in-and-out daily life of this couple. I enjoyed seeing them go on a getaway together, and him getting drunk and telling her exactly how he feels, at the same time that she was getting jealous of a woman that he works wit...

It's nice to see the couple finally starting to act more like a real couple. But, honestly, it should not have taken this long. And, they really need to learn to be more open with one another, and talk things out whenever they have problem. This series is a "guilty pleasure" there's not any need to feel "guilty" about.------------------------This volume was provided to me as an eManga by VIZ Media, via Edelweiss, in exchange for an honest review....

So cute. I'm really enjoying this series. This is my first foray into anime graphic novels, and I've enjoyed every book so far. Hokuto and Chiwa have such a dysfunctional communication style, but they're just so darn cute and funny and sweet that I gobble up page after page. Before I know it, I've finished another book! Thank you Maki, for another very enjoyable story.

I think this might be my favorite volume for now... and yeah you won't get any spoilers from me, no sir! go read it its a tad relatable, I say a tad because there's an arranged marriage involved but trust me this is not what you expect of an arranged marriage. (>/o

"It's so frustrating. My love for him is stronger than anything. What am I lacking? If he could rely on me for even the slightest things... that faith would give me the courage of a hundred people." - Chiwa

This keeps getting randomly funnier (the "darth vader song" note) and rapy-er. And more like 50 shades. I've got no inherent issues to FSOG, but it wasn't what I was going for, and it's kind of an annoying FSOG (which, so was FSOG, so).......
