Rin Okumura is the illegitimate son of Satan, but he and his twin brother, Yukio, have been raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist. Once he discovers the truth, Rin swears to defeat Satan by entering the famous True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. The only trouble is, he has to keep his demon heritage a secret or he stands a good chance of being destroyed by the very people he wants to join. This volume is my favourite of the...

Chapter 20: 4*Chapter 21: 4*Chapter 22: 3.5*Chapter 23: 3.5*Overall Rating: 3.75*I would have liked less exposition on some of the side characters because it wasn't enough to really give me a feel for them in this one. Also, I feel like things are progressing at a super slow pace and then speeding up really quickly. There needs to be some sort of happy-medium where the plot progresses and we learn about the past at the same time while also develo...

April 2014: 4 StarsAwwwww Rin is such a good guy ;u; even though he understands his situation, he doesn't let that change how he treats his friends. At last, shit has hit the fan. Not only has Rin put himself in a very, very bad situation, but the general populace is at risk of being exposed to what may be the biggest chemical attack of the times. Can Rin and the Knights of the Blue Cross stop the attack dead in its tracks?I LOVE the Phantom Train...

More reviews at Rondo of a Possible World: YA Book Reviews The action in this is wonderful and the thickening plot keeps me wanting more. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a demon/exorcist twist to their reading schedule.

This manga is up there in my top 10. Action, adventure, a smidgen of romance. The character designs are all quite unique which I appreciate. As an aside, the manga and anime are so far removed from each other one you get past that first story arc that they could be 2 completely different stories. They are both quite good, though. Do both.

The ex-wires are in Kyoto to help guard the Right Eye of the Impure King. Everyone is surprised to discover they are staying at the inn belonging to Suguro’s family. The next morning, some of the guys don’t remember the night before very well, and they blame it on whatever Shura gave them to drink. Konekomaru is confused as to why Renzo is acting so friendly toward Rin. Doesn’t he remember who and what he is? A meeting of the Myodha is bein...

THE GOOD Rin and Bon: These two are so alike it's only natural that their personalities clash. And while Rin seems to be on the road to repairing his friendships with Shima and Koneko, the rift with Bon only seems to be growing - especially after Bon days some hurtful things to and about his father that set Rin off and cause him to get in big trouble.Shima: He's such a cool and laid back dude and I like both his brothers as well.Kuro story: The K...

I've been debating whether to drop the series or not and this was the final push. The series has already grown stale and predictable. The 2 bonus stories were the best part. I will probably pick it up again when I'm feeling bored or am caught up on everything else. All in all a disappointing volume, but still entertaining.

A good volume, but a weird cutoff and lack of actual story progression. The art is great. The story is decent, but it could be better.

I can't believe that this volume which consist of only four chapters had covered three whole episodes in the anime. The events and characters were also exact. Over all, it was a good volume.

It's drifting further and further from the main story... It was really only 150 pages, and 50 where special bonus stories that add nothing to the plotline.
