I am loving Food Wars! It's difficult to review a graphic novel let alone when it isn't the first volume. I am loving the characters more with each volume, and my favorite has to be Megumi! I love her so much! Her hospitality, her caring. She's shy and insecure but she's starting to work on that and realize she can do it if she sets her mind to it. I also love how Dojima looks at the students skills, not their background. How he gave Soma and Meg...

3.5 for me, only dipping slightly in rating. That cliffhanger! I really want to know what breakfast Souma has thought up.🍳 🥓 🥞

3.25 out of 5 stars. ❝If you want to stay, then prove your worth!❞ I didn't enjoy Food Wars! Volume 4 as much as the previous volumes. It's a rather entertaining read, but it was kind of bland compared to the previous volumes. Even so, this is the perfect volume for Megumi fans—she truly shines in this story. ❝Megumi-chan really is the best after all.❞ ____________________Food Wars! Volume 3★★★★✩Food Wars! Volume 5★★★...

Update: Full Review http://bookishrealmreviews.blogspot.c...That ending though! What is going on with Soma? This is absolutely crazy and I'm loving everything about this series. I cannot wait to continue reading it and catching up on the anime. I will have a full review posted soon.

Volume 4 consists of chapters 22-30.zHAHAHHAA. That magical cabbage moment. Nooo. It's interesting to finally have Tadakoro become the lead chef while he becomes the sous chef. I think that the most of us were starting to wonder if she was always going to be a follow to him and now is her moment to shine. Of course, he's still as awesome as ever and even the teachers know that as he continues to support her and guess her next moves while keeping ...

https://chyneyee.com/2015/11/18/food-...This volume has more intensity and humour compared to all the previous volumes. I really liked this one the most compared to other volumes I've previously read before. This volume definitely will make you want to read more to know what other challenges will Soma faces and how he overcomes them.

Read overnight.. I really liked this one!!! The cook off war adventures continue however this time, lessons in team work and humility are learnt among the chefs.. a rather entertaining yet instructive graphic novel, can't wait for the next instalment now!!!

Shokugeki no Soma - Food Wars! Volume 4: Resemblances picks up where the last volume left off - Megumi is dangling on the edge of expulsion and now she and Soma must find a way to impress the arrogant alumni in an unofficial shokugeki. Let’s break it down.Megumi and Soma vs Shinomiya gets Megumi a surprising amount of character growth this volume and it was a good boost for her character! We get even more insight to her extremely intense anxiet...

The adventures of Soma and his friends continue. I'm enjoying the new nemeses introduced, as well as the various cooking challenges at the "hell camp" -- I like to see how each challenge is resolved, and what delectable dishes are improvised. I also applaud the fact that Soma doesn't automatically win everything, despite the fact that his cooking is apparently superior -- most of the time. That ounce of realism keeps the stakes high, as we never ...

I put the next few on hold at the library. I enjoyed the series from the beginning, but I think the further I get the more absorbed in the story I get, and more urgently want to know what happens next.

Makin bagus dengan porsi fanservis makin berkurang di saat-saat kurang tepat.Souma pun bisa kalah walau hanya jadi asisten koki.Di atas langit masih ada langit sih.

It was interesting to see how Soma got knocked down a peg and how he reacted. But that ending! Why?!
  • Mariah
Eggselent! Haha. I’m a bit worried over the cliff hanger though.

A satisfying installment in the Food Wars series, but this volume ends with a huge cliffhanger. Have the next one ready to go!

The story of Soma Yukihira and his friends at Totsuki Culinary Academy from Food Wars!, Vol. 3 continues in the fourth volume of Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma. In the previous volume, Soma along with the rest of the first year students attended the Totsuki Friendship and Rapport Training Camp. It comes off as a fun-filled vacation camp but is really known as the "Training Camp from Hell." From what is known, a huge chunk of students from previous ...

Ugh, a cliffhanger volume. :3Most intense volume so far. During the 2nd day of the camp, Megumi failed to pass Chef Shinomiya's test and was about to be expelled when Souma interfered and challenged Shinomiya to a Shokugeki. Shinomiya rejected because he is an alumnus now and not covered by Totsuki Academy's rules anymore. Doujima and Hisako witnessed this argument and decided to just have a simple match Megumi's fate. Most fave dish from this vol...

When I first found out about this manga series, I was unsure how to feel about a slice of life story revolving around cooking. However, once I started reading this series, I was hooked. Food Wars follows the story of hero Soma, who is booted from his family restaurant to attend an elite academy for the culinary arts. Soma meets many interesting cooks along the way, and the manga in addition to showing the cooking process also includes recipes for...

Souma faces defeat for the first time in the series and at the end of the volume seems like have come in front of a dead end. The cliff hangers are really interesting but would love if it doesn't continue on every volume. On the other hand the side character moe type Megumi has started to shine on her own after finding her resolve. And it seems another antagonist has appeared, though still not clear what's her angle.
