Isolation by Bex-chan

Isolation

He can't leave the room. Her room. And it's all the Order's fault. Confined to a small space with only the Mudblood for company, something's going to give. Maybe his sanity. Maybe not. "There," she spat. "Now your Blood's filthy too!" DM/HG. PostHBP.Post Half-Blood Prince. Ron and Harry are Horcrux hunting and Hermione has been left at Hogwarts to help the Order make it safe for the other students. Draco is forced by Snape to stay in Hogwarts for...

Fucking hell.Bex-chan, you have RUINED my life.Isolation was a recommendation from my sis and I was quite eager to read it after she told me about a few scenes. She told me to read it during my exams, but I started it after my exams were finished. Best fucking decision I ever made. Isolation was just... I can't even express into words what Isolation made me feel. It was just... breathtaking. Wait. That would be the understatement of the year.I ...

My love for Draco and Theo knows no limits. This is the second best Dramione fanfic out there and it hits me right in the feels."I'm just d-done," said Theo, feebly shaking his head in Blaise's lap. "I'm just...just sick of it.""Sick of what?" asked Draco"Of this...this p-pathetic excuse for a life. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of being unhappy, but doing nothing to try and be ha-happy. I'm sick of crying out for help and then rejecting anyone who t-t...

This book is better than most of the original, published fiction. Just saying. On another note, I gather that the Epilogue she mentions in the last chapter does not exist? If I'm wrong, please let me know, because I've been searching for it everywhere and I can't find anything :(

    * I like to this of this as the Dramione replacement for Deathly Hallows. One of the absolute best fics I have ever read. I started reading it when it was first published, years ago, and followed the chapters as they were updated. After it's completion, I read it again and then again twice more. I never read fics more than twice, but this will always be my exception! I honestly just love it so much.Extremely well composed; excellent writing style...

I don't know what made me read this fanfic, but I'm so glad that I did because it was absolutely perfect. I can't even explain how I feel towards it. I really didn't expect it to be this good!

Re-editing this review because I've got to emphasize how important this one is. Put it up to The Fallout and this stands up a head and shoulders above it. The war writing is only bested by The Year of Darkness (which is only a war fiction - and the defining one of that genre!). Isolation has been translated into multiple languages, made into multiple videos, mixes, and pieces of art. Draco's redemption isn't easy, or pretty, or sexy. Hermione doe...

First Read: 2012Reread: 2015Personal Rating: 4.5 Dramione Stars““Draco's like... snow," said Hermione quietly, her gaze absent and distracted. "It's cold and cruel to begin with, but it's somehow beautiful, and you miss it when it's not there. And if you hold it in your hands close enough and long enough, it changes. It melts.” ” image: To be completely honest with my fellow Dramione shippers out there, i read this piece of gem more than ...

Let me start by saying I am DYING laughing right now. I did not expect a fanfiction to be in Goodread's book database. I had to look, obviously, I wasn't going to spend two full days reading almost 300k words and not make sure I wouldn't be able to count it as one of my 100 books read this year. I will also say I do NOT ship Dramione. I'm sorry, I just don't. Romione is just too perfect for me. I love it. "Susannah, if you don't ship Dramione, wh...

i was re-reading (or listening) to harry potter again from the very beginning and i got annoyed by ron bit by bit.....and in the 4th book, ron just blew me away - i can't stand him anymorethen i started to reckon how draco is actually being considerate towards granger (or i read into this too much? i don't think so since dramione exist)so i started to look for some fan fiction to satisfy my OTP cravingAND I STUMBLED ACROSS THIS PERFECTIONOH MY GO...

Yes. I read this. And it was fabulous. I don't read much fan fiction, and will probably not read anymore, but this was recommend to me by a friend and I just couldn't resist. I love the idea of Draco and Hermione, the forbidden love thing is so irresistible. A part of me even wishes this were how the story actually went. I know… blasphemy, but hear me out. I am from the generation of children who had the privilege of growing up with Harry Potte...

    1. Lo estoy poniendo porque no leí un fanfic de más de 200K palabras para no ponerlo como lectura.2. OVERRATED but not bad.

I have really mixed feelings about this fan fiction. The first 40% irritated the hell out of me and I can honestly say I HATED everything about it. Draco is a cruel asshole who treats Hermione like she is shit on his shoe. Hermione is a simpering mess who slobbers all over Draco and practically thanks him for his abusive behaviour. Their relationship read neither as romantic nor endearing to me, but as extremely toxic and unhealthy. Not only that...

I have read this and re-read this and am currently re-reading it again . Bex-chan, you are a legend . You have made the Dramione fandom tremble at your feet because let's face it, your writing is incredible. The flow of everything, the way the characters are presented... everything laces itself together flawlessly to create a story that could pass off as authentic. Of course, there are some spicy scenes in here that J.K. Rowling definitely does...

Isolation. . .for me its always going to be 'the' dramione fic for me. I've read this fic innumerable times ' in fact to this extent that it seems more canon to me than the original series. Bex-chan tries to stay true to the original plot as much as possible while at the same time giving the ultimate battle between good and evil its due share of devastation and trauma which is something I seriously felt Deathly Hallows lacked.Bex-chan does wonder...

Draco has long since been my favourite HP character and Hermione is my spirit animal. So when I was recommended Isolation (HP fanfic) I knew I had to read it because what's better than your two favourite characters getting together?? Obviously the answer is you ship hard and its official I ship Dramione so damn much. Bex did such a amazing job of re-written her version of book 7!!! My only wish for this book would have been a epilogue set 5-10 ye...

4.5 stars(- 0.5 star because I found the swearing a teensy bit much...)I only started reading Fanfiction towards the end of last year. I found this one on Fanfiction.net and I was hooked from the blurb. I started reading on my phone and must have switched devices at some point, so I thought that I hadn't finished this when I found the tab open on chapter 24 on my phone. So I read. And then went back a few chapters because I was lost, so I basical...

I've been a Harry Potter fan since the beginning. And also being in the same age groups as the actors. I adore the books and movies and got on the band wagon of how each relationship turned out. Then I came across a link for Isolation on pinterest of all places and thought why not? I've never considered reading a fan fiction relating to relationships, as I've always believed in how the story turned out, this story however stole my heart and soul....

Starting down the slippery slope into the underworld of fanfiction!Well, I saw a collection of "The Best FF" and decided to give this one a whirl. I thought I really wouldn't like the Dramione, but I did! I think the author did a great job with realistic conversations and insults, the slow warming up to each other, the buildup of feelings and conflict. I thought that also well done was the mood of the book and it felt so intense to have Hermione ...

Isolation is quite possibly the only Dramione fanfiction that I will ever read, and there are two cardinal reasons that stand behind this fact. The first one: I do not actually ship Dramione in-universe. The second one: after Isolation's brilliance, I doubt I will stumble upon another DH fanfiction that will pique my interest in such a way. Bex-chan is, truly, spectacular, for she manage to present Draco without pushing him out of character even ...

I really loved Isolation. It made me think a lot, not just about the prejuices Draco has about Muggle-borns but how it is extended and can be compared to the ones muggles have. I love how it shows that people could change and that world it is not just black or white. I defintely love the Deathly Hallows but this one is also a good ending for an incredible saga.

Oh my goodness. I am not a fanfiction person. Heck, I didn't even ship Draco and Hermione before this. But now... Wow. I don't think I will ever look at HP the same.
