A very easy 5 stars. This was even better than the first. This book is slightly different from the first, but I'm not altogether sure how. It's bloody excellent though. As part of a series, it works great. There is a summary of the previous book but it isn't glaringly obvious and obtrusive. It's subtle and fits really well into the story as it's narrated. As such, this would also work well as a standalone. But I'd suggest reading the first book too,...

I am not a big fan of the New Adult genre. There's just enough books about a "young, vulnerably scarred woman with a dark past who ends up falling for a brooding, mysterious bad boy who coincidentally also has a dark past" before the storyline becomes a dime a dozen. Sometimes, it just feels too much like disguised erotica. Then again, I'm not one to just cross off a whole genre just because I've had a few disappointing reads, so if a book's blur...

Loved this book! After reading Stalking Sapphire earlier on this year, I fell in love with this series, and was really excited for the sequel! Super happy I wasn't disappointed, I may even go as far as to say this one was better than the first!Stalking Sapphire was an amazing debut, and don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it, but something about its sequel was so much more fleshed out, fluid and a major page turner!I have an obsession with these...

I read the first book in this series and loved it, so I was excited to see that the second book was available. I have to say, I think this one is even better than the first. Our lovely heroine is back again and her tough persona and great attitude once more make this a truly delightful book to read. The criminal romance is a difficult genre in my opinion, where it is often hard to find a good balance. Mia Thompson has managed this well and made i...

If you like mystery, humour and maybe a little romance too - then this new adult book is for you. I still think it fits in the contemporary/chick lit category too.Right, I have read both this book and book 1 (Stalking Sapphire) in the past 2 days. So both books are pretty fresh in my mind. What I liked about the books is that there's not really a great time lapse, a few months is all. I also liked how the author Mia Thompson recapped in Silencing...

4 starsThis is a thriller mystery. The characters are not to deep except for Sapphire. I found myself rooting for Sapphire. Also wondered why the cops were putting so much effort in catching the serial catcher over stopping serial killers themselves. There are a lot of swear words and gritty scenes.Sapphire is a rich social lite who is engaged to a even richer guy who she does not like let alone want to marry. For years she has spent most of her t...

Mia Thompson accomplishes what authors seldom do in a sequel. She keeps us interested in her characters and she manages to give us another well-plotted story! I suppose the book could stand alone, but don't deny yourself the opportunity to read them in order, as it makes the experience much more fun. Beverly Hills Heiress moonlighting as a serial killer hunter is a really great premise, and Ms. Thompson has managed to keep Sapphire from being a o...

Silencing Sapphire is Mia Thompson's sequel to her first book Stalking Sapphire. Once again it was a wonderful criminal romance thriller!Just as in first book, once again Sapphire is hunting another serial killer, and she herself is also a prey. Aston is still hunting for Serial Catcher but Sapphire has other "fans" as well. So the story is filled with twists and turns and sizzling romantic moments and funny moments with Hollywood celebrities :)....

And the chase continues. I live for this trilogy. That ending! Un-freaking-believable. If that's a word. Excited for the next book!

Enjoyable sequel to the opening novel of the series.Following on from the events of Stalking, we find Sapphire determined to resume her "Serial Catcher" activities, thwart her upcoming nuptials, and deflect the attentions of detective Aston who is hell bent on uncovering the identity of the Catcher. Deflecting his other attentions, however, is undertaken with less commitment! Just as in the first novel, the characters are wonderfully portrayed, a...

Reviewed on my blog. Sapphire is back and oh my, it was wonderful! She’s moving onto hunting her next killer, whilst Aston still hunts her. She’s as witty as ever and the story and it’s characters are funny then suddenly scary then funny then romantic and then it’s all going down!Cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed this book. Whilst Stalking Sapphire focused more on the consequences of Sapphire’s actions, this book is starting to ...

I really enjoyed this book. I like the idea of an heiress being a vigilante. I really like the idea of an heiress and suppose to be rich, snobby girl hating that lifestyle. Sapphire wants out of the luxurious lifestyle. Her only real passion in life is to hunt serial killers. She is the most unlikely person to be the Serial Catcher. I just love her! She is such a relatable character. She is engaged to someone she does not want to marry. She feels...

After reading Stalking Sapphire I was curious to see how the series continued. This one was feeling like a solid 2-star book until about halfway through, when I started getting more invested. The closer it got to the end, the more twists were thrown in - some obvious and inevitable, others less so - and it really ended with a bang. This was a natural continuation from the first book, but the next could really go anywhere from here. I'm officially...

I liked this book better than the first. I won't replay what the book is about cause you can find that on other reviews. It was fun to watch Aston figure out she was the Serial Catcher. I liked the humor and witty repartee the characters have with each other. And the addition of Sapphire's dad ... wow. Her flashbacks were interesting and give the reader insight into why she does what she does. It was so sweet to watch her step-dad come back alive...

Just as much fun as the first, and with some major plot explosions! I had assumed going in that this would be yet another static series, where everyone basically stays the same from book to book and each one would be Sapphire hunting the serial killer of the week, but this was a pleasant surprise in essentially tossing all its ingredients up in the air and reshuffling them by book's end. Now I'm looking forward to the next one even more.

Gah, another brilliant book! The storyline was funny, scary and had me hooked! Couldn't put this down! Even better than the first but now I've found I can't bring myself to start anything else, I'm so caught up in this story I just want to know what happens next! How will I cope while she's writing the next book?

What I love about Silencing Sapphire is that the book is designed carefully and cleverly. The twists in the book outsmarted my predictions about the events. The link between Sapphire's actions and her past sends shivers down my spine, to be honest. The book is easy to read as well, but it is certainly not a waste of one's time.

I think I preferred this 2nd book in the series to the first, the quality of the writing felt far improved, again it was fast paced and I enjoyed the story line despite the slight predictability. Will definitely continue with this series and i am looking forward to the next book!

Silencing Sapphire is a intriguing novel about the challenges of a woman and how she deals with it.The novel has a moral about self-worth and independence. It is also thrilling and I couldn't seem to stop reading once I started.Truely amazing piece of work .
