Fallen (The Transformed, #0.5)

Samantha Erikson is a vampire with one mission: to rule the world. She’s spent decades winning over the world’s most feared vampire, Vince Moretti. Just when everything is going according to plan, he sidetracks her with the assignment of pretending to be a high school student in a small town. It’s humiliating enough going from stilettos to sneakers, but Samantha must also follow the most boring person alive: the teenage girl who stands betwe...

Be sure to check out my blog post for this review! Includes an excerpt from the book!! Check it out hereI've had Deception on my TBR list for a while, and when the opportunity to read this prequel came up, I couldn't resist. This novella expertly sets up a back-drop for some of the characters in The Transformed Series. Following the side assignment Samantha has, this quick read shows her experience with meeting Alexis. Highlighting some key momen...

Fallen by Stacy Claflin packs a lot of good reading into one little novella! An ambitious vampire, Samantha, must return to high school to find a young girl who holds the potential to take everything Sam has worked for away, just by coming of age and becoming the vampire she is. What Samantha wasn’t expecting was Tanner, a human high school boy. The attraction to this young man is immediate; there is just something about him and Sam lingers as ...

I'm not the right age for this novel, but I picked it up free, and when I realized I'm not really part of the intended audience, I tried to read it like a teenager would. I have a little bit of nagging need to know what happens to some of the characters later on hanging around my brain, so that's a good sign that the story kept my interest. My overall rating for this would be 3.5 stars (which is higher than I would rate any of the Twilight books b...

So I found this novella for cheap on Amazon and decided to buy it. I'd finally started this series and this was touted as the prequel. Well, I read it and returned it. I was quite willing to procrastinate with this series but a book that I was waiting for, was released the next day which broke my focus. So this is where I ended with this series.P.S. I'd already read the first three books in this series as well as the novella that comes right afte...

It was Sam's version of sum of what happened. It was interesting that she found such a unique connection 2 tanner and he wanted her 2 turn him. She saved him from her Co workers in spite of her orders.

Actual Rating 4.5 Fallen was a quick, easy read that was a nice addition to Stacy Claflin's series. Having read and reviewed the first two books and enjoying them greatly, I was interested to see what the author did with the prequel, especially because it is written from Samantha's point of view. It definitely had a different feel from the other books in the series and I really enjoyed reading about Samantha. My favourite thing about this novella ...

I savored the warm, sweet blood that filled my mouth. I'd forgotten how much better fear-laced blood tasted. Fallen was a quick and easy read. I haven't read any of the books in The Transformed series and with there already being three books after this one, I think Fallen gives a nice bit of background into the very beginning of the story. Because it's a prequel there is really no need to have any previous knowledge of the characters or the stor...

Fallen is a free prequel in The Transformed series that I grabbed on Story Cartel because ... well it was a vampire short with a pretty cover. So sue me.When I started reading more about it and the series, though, I was honestly concerned that I was going to hate it with a passion. I mean, there's no possibility for a happy ending. Surely this will all end in tears. Why do I do this to myself?Well, quite simply, because sometimes the stories that...

I read this book as part of the anthology Vampire Romance Boxed Set: For the Love of the Vampire which I received an ARC copy of in exchange for my honest review. This book also ends in a cliffhanger with an ending that is actually quite sad. This is definitely a YA PNR book. There is no sexual content beyond kissing and no explicit language. I was getting more used to the book (and liking it more) near the end, but then it got sad, and then it wa...

I received this book as a part of the Transformed Starter Library. This is the prequel to Deception the first book in the Transformed series which I had previously read before receiving this so I read them out of order which I kind of liked doing because it gave me a different perspective on the characters. Instead of seeing a character evolve from start to finish I got to see the opposite which was really interesting to see. In Fallen you see ho...

his is a vampire story that put a smile on my face. It’s actually making fun of the Twilight series, in a nice way. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I am not well versed in vampire lore. I enjoyed reading about Samantha and thought it was fitting that she ended up falling in love with the human boy, Tanner. I did not like Samantha in the beginning; she was not a very likeable character being so ambitious and having no shame in using the peo...

This is a prequel to a series that I haven't read but based on this novella, it is now on my t-b-r list. It has left me with enough questions that need answering and the only way I'll get answers is to read the books. Still not 100% sure why 'Alexis' needs to be got rid off or why she is so fully ignored by everyone. Samantha is a vampire who prefers fear-laced blood as it tastes sweeter. Until she meets, and gets to know, Tanner. Then she finds ...

I received a copy in exchange for my honest review, so here it is. This is a fast paced short story. It took only a few hours to read and well worth it. Samantha is a vampire trying to rule the vampire world with Vince, the scariest vampire around. When they find out that a born vampire is still alive 12 years after she ordered to be killed, Vince sends Samantha to track her down and watch her. Samantha finds that Alexis is a bookworm and plain b...

This was a free prequel to The Transformed series. It sets the scene for how the vampire world interacts with the human one, and has an interesting detail for how some vampires are born vampires and others are made through a vampire bite. However it isn't a stand alone book. The reader is expected to then read the series in order to see how things pan out. I found it frustrating as a result. You are not told how things finish with Tanner and Sama...

Fallen & Taken Prequel to The Transformed Series Author: Stacy Claflin Samantha Erikson is a vampire with one mission: to rule the world until she is assigned to capture "someone" and blend into high school.I've really been against Sam in Deception but having read Fallen and Taken I've developed a soft spot for the love struck vampire. I love the background history that came with reading the prequels by Stacy Claflin.I'm definitely loving this Yo...

Quick enjoyable YA/Teen read. Book one of the short series. Vampires living within the Human world undetected is a familiar concept with refreshing qualities like walking through walls.Slow at times in the beginning, but quickly took off and kept interest going as the plot unfolded. Nice writing style with witty characters in ever evolving situations. I can hardly wait to read what happens next.

I loved this story. I wish Samantha didn't have to leave to go with Vincent. I would read this story a trillion times over deception. I read deception and I seriously thought the girl was selfish. Samantha on the other hand, is a villain with new found emotions for a guy who seems to love her. I hate that he changes hearts in deception.

interesting prequel. it might be a series I continue. I found the reasoning for chasing Alexis interesting, the story about the necklace and the ring fascinating and I'd love to know more. and I didn't get annoyed with Tanner or Samantha. But I did find some elements frustrating and not believable so I'd need to know more info before I continued with the series.

Oh my dear lord what a peace of boring book was this!!! I kept reading it with the hope that it will get better...it was better while I reading the first chapter. The result??Me dying out of boredom and me discovering why hope dies last. Keep away.
