Title: A Sandcastle ChristmasAuthor: J.D. FaverPublished: J.D.F.Reviewed By: Arlena DeanGenre: RomanceTags: Contemporary, Romantic Suspense, + Seasonal / Holiday, + Extra LongRating: 5Review:"A Sandcastle Christmas" by J.D.Faver was one very good read and the first read for me by this author. I will say it will not be the last because I do plan on checking out more from this author's series. I found that "A Sandcastle Christmas" was a novel that ...

Like visiting old friends, it's always great to return to this sunny Texas island and catch up with the unique characters Ms. Faver writes about. This time around, although Christmas should be a time of peace and goodwill toward mankind, trouble rears its ugly head. With an abandoned baby, the return of an old foe, and the death of an unlikable woman, the police and residents alike are all dealing with more than just the usual quest for the perfe...

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I've read other books in the Edge of Texas series. This was a nice visit with all the characters. A little romance, some Christmas cheer, murder and intrigue! What more could you ask for? J.D. Faver weaves the tale in a way that doesn't lose the reader along the way. Reading the first 4 books isn't necessary to enjoy Sandcastle Christmas. But I would recommend them!

I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. All the characters are strong in there own way and I really enjoyed that. The story line was really good. Can't wait to read the next one!! I will be recommending this book to family and friends!!

After reading the blurb, I was looking forward to reading a Christmas romantic suspense, especially when the couples were all married. What I didn't know was that it was the fifth book in a series and the couples all had back stories that I didn't know since I had not read the other books in this series. With 4 couples in this book and each of them with over-protective men and women who were in, or had been in, some sort of danger, I had a hard t...

Good readGood for the holiday spirit! Light, easy reading. Would be a good beach read if you are lucky enough to be spending Christmas at the seashore!

This is not a warm and fuzzy Christmas story.Maybe if I had read the other books in the series, I would have been better off. Not sure about that, but I know I continually got lost in the number of characters and stories. From the title, I expected a heart warming story, but I got murder, attempted murder, attempted kidnapping. It would hop from a touching family moment to someone being physically attacked. This is about people who live on the Tex...

There were a lot of characters with a lot of history among them. At times, I found myself getting confused about the relationships. Finding a baby in the manger of a church Nativity scene was an intriguing start to a series of crimes. Quite convenient that it was the sheriff who happened to find the baby.I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I had read other books in the series and had a better understanding of what happened to these char...

Read the book in record time. I really don't think I can call it a book. It was way too short - More like a Novella. Just as I can getting to know who the characters were all about, it was over. Turns out there were about 3 or 4 more ahead of this, so I really would have to go back and start at the beginning of the series. I mostly shy away from "series" books these days.

It was difficult to keep all the characters straight, as their lives were so interwoven. It was a bit long due to the many details of daily living. But it was well written and I was determined to get to the end to find out "who done it."

I enjoyed the book. It was like visiting old friends. It did tie up some loose ends from the other books in the series.
