Book 3 of the Broken Ones!

This series is so, so good! Love everything about it. All 5 stars for me and a PERFECT stars for Jen Wylie. Though the first two books prior to this one is more action packed, this one starts off with a short break, like a calm before another huge storm. Into a prophecy that I can’t wait to happen! ;) There is huge character growth. It’s like I’m in the front seat watching Aro blossomed into this amazingly beautiful and brave lady. I smiled...

Thanks to Jen Wylie for giving me this book to review. After delivering the Prince to his home, Aro and her boys need to recover from this last year. They decide to stay in the city of Westport for the winter, to figure out what to do next, and to discover what happened to Aro’s brothers. However, not everything goes to plan as the Were King is displeased with the group’s disregard of Were law, and the Elves are displeased with the change in t...

I think I should start with the cover of the book which is perhaps the worst cover I’ve encountered at least while running this site so far. See the cover just involves a close up of a rugged good looking guy who I guess after reading is supposed to be the dashing pirate captain Roan who I will cover in a bit more detail later. The thing is it tells you nothing about the book and gives you the impression that this is one of the steamy feminine ...

I have to say, Jen Wylie does not disappoint! What a fantastic adventure. I mean seriously, this story has gone from absolutely wonderful to freaking perfect! I have loved Aro and Prince since book one. The series has been an emotional roller coaster but what a ride!!!! And with another book surely to come in this series, I am stoked! I would like to recommend this book to you. If you have taken the time to read the reviews, then you are consider...

Jen tricked me there for a moment. I totally thought this was the last book in this amazing series but when I reached the end of Broken Promise, I realised there is much more story to be told. I was a bit sad and hesitant to read this as I didn't want to say goodbye to Aro, Prince, Bo, Garen and Kei. Knowing there is a fourth book coming I am so so happy! All I have to say is this: check this series out if you haven't already. It is amazing. Go b...

A BIG thank you to Untold Press for providing a copy for review! The following are my own thoughts and opinions of this book.Broken Promise by Jen Wylie is book three of The Broken Ones series. The story picks up later on the same day that Aro, Kei, Bo, and Garen left Prince at the gates of the Elven kingdom. Returning to the werewolves, they learn that the Were King is now coming to speak with Aro and he isn't happy. Thanks to the generous rewar...

And any glimpse of happiness is yours to share and rejoice in. The Broken Ones series touches your h...

This is the third book in Jen Wylie's The Broken Ones Series and in my opinion it's the best one to date.Aro has been through so much in this series but that's nothing compared to what she endures in this book. After returning Prince home and finding out that the Were King isn't happy with her and wants her detained so that he can speak to her she decides to wait out the winter in Westport. Bo and Garen find a buy them a house in the city with th...

I have been waiting for this book for such a long time, and I swear that it definitely did not disappoint. I absolutely loved this book! There were so many twists and turns, and it definitely didn't go where I thought it would. I absolutely loved it. Seriously, there was just a jumble of things that had me gaping at the book and saying "woah". I loved meeting the characters again. Aro, Kei, Bo, and Garen make such a great pack, I love them all! T...

I've been waiting on this book to come out for what feels like ever so from the minute it downloaded on my kindle I couldn't put it down. This is the third book in The Broken Ones series and continues from where Broken Prince left off with Prince having returned to his homeland and Aro left dealing with his enemies who are eager to exploit his relationship with her. Add into the mix an unhappy Were King and an equally unimpressed Dragos, Aro has a...

I've finally put my finger on what makes Jen Wylie's books so amazing - emotion! This series is overflowing with emotions, both good and bad. They make you smile and tear at your heart strings all at the same time, and it's this roller coaster of emotions that binds you to the story and the amazing characters and makes you feel like you are right there playing a part in this epic tale. I just now turned the last page of Broken Promise, and I feel...

This book is absolutely, unbelievably, great! I wouldn't expect anything less from Jen Wylie and this series! We are once again taken on a gripping adventure with Aro and her boys. New allies and enemies are made, the Captain is indeed an intriguing character. I didn't want to go to bed last night because I was so involved with the story already. I grabbed the book and read every chance I had throughout the day, wishing I could read without inter...

I love this series, totally love it. The world Ms. Wylie created for Broken is full formed, well described and believable. And the characters? Since book one I have felt like they could be real. I did not, fully, cry with this book like with the previous two but I was no less emotionally involved and invested in what happened. I cannot wait to see what happens next and hope Mr. Pirate makes another appearance, I very much liked and disliked him a...

OMG!!!! I was expecting this to be the end of the story but it isn't :( I truly can't wait for the next installment as I love this series of books and I can't wait to see what happens to Aro, Kei and the rest of the gang :)

Love this series!!! So much turmoil with the different characters and plot twists. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. Ms Wylie does a terrific job of painting a scene with her language that I feel I am in the story watching. I really hope to see more of Prince soon.
  • Heather
Loved it! So many heartbreaking moments, but I can't wait for the next one!!
  • Jennifer

Review from Elysian Fields Reviews.Rated 4.5 out of 5 StarsMy ThoughtsUgh, Miss Wylie, that rotting elf! Why?! His character can be such a jackass, seriously. This story continues right after Broken Prince leaves off. They have just returned Prince to his home, after his long over-due, heart stopping kiss with Arowyn. She demanded that he not kiss her again until he knew that he loved her, and dammit if that jerk didn't kiss her before he left he...

I’ve been looking forward to reading Broken Promise since June last year, when I finished reading Broken Prince.Broken Promise follows Aro, Kei, Bo and Garen as they head to Wesport to see out the winter. Having just dropped Prince back to his homeland, Aro is full of conflicting emotions. However she soon has little time to dwell on them as their expected recuperation over winter becomes hijacked and all of those she loves are threatened. The b...

My first epic review got erased, and I'm pissed. So this one will be a little less awesome. Sorry Jen Wylie. So, this book is just flipping fantastic in every manner of speaking. I must admit, I was hesitant when I found out the majority of the book would not include our merry band of men, and aro, but this book was just as good as the other two. This is probably the only series I can say that I do not have a favorite out of the trio so far. I ha...

Another fantastic book in The Broken Ones series! This story picks up Aro’s tale right where Broken Prince left off, with Aro and her remaining companions figuring out where they will go next after returning Prince Shael to his homeland. Once they leave there, most of the story takes place in the city of Westport. Aro and her family now can afford to live comfortably but unfortunately, their troubles are far from over. The Were king is displease...

My edition: KindlePages: 346Series: The Broken Ones #3Rating: 4.5Review: ***Warning there will be spoilers if you have not read the first two books.***First two books are Broken Aro and Broken Prince. I am enjoying this series so far. Broken Prince ended with Prince returning home. Aro is even more confused about everything. About the prophecy, her kiss with the prince, magic, and where she fits in. With her being the only human known to do magic...

Broken Promise by Jen Wylie is the third book in the Broken Ones series. The first is Broken Aro and the second, Broken Prince. They aren’t intended to stand alone, so I suggest starting at the beginning. Broken Promise takes up shortly after Broken Prince leaves off. Aro and her boys return to the friendly were pack to try to recoup after some very rough adventures. Kei is anxious to start freeing his people from their fury, but Aro needs to r...

Jen Wylie, I believe you broke into my brain, captured the heart of my imagination and put it onto paper for all to see. To say the least, I am totally addicted to 'The Broken Ones' book series. Each and every book in this amazing series has been one that I truly could not put down. The tone, the plot, the setting, the characters...everything about this series, not just this book, but all of them in the series, have captured my heart. I am truly ...

Broken Promise is another amazing addition to The Broken Ones Series! The book takes up where Broken Prince ends, right after Aro leaves Prince at the Elven Kingdom. She and her boys end up spending the winter in a village, which is a bit different from the first two books. You get to see Aro grow and become an even stronger protagonist. We also get to meet new characters, like Captain Roan, who is as fascinating as he is mysterious. What I love a...

I love reading this series. The world Jen Wylie has build for her readers through this series is phenomenal. The magic, adventure and drama that unfolds with these characters traps you in the story straight from the beginning. Aro and her "family" have been together from the beginning they may have lost a few and gained some others but they stick together no matter the cost, they're always there for one another. I loved the new characters that we...

A very bittersweet story that has captured my utmost attention. I enjoy the character development and while I understand that perfect people are boring, and that the characters are broken, the way that Aro whines, throws temper tantrums and shows an unforgiving (if not vengeful) heart prevents me from becoming as attatched to her as I would like to be to the main character. I love the people she loves and they are the main reason I get afraid whe...
