Slightly underwhelmed by this instalment. Relentlessly action packed and entertaining throughout, but I felt the depth was lacking this time and not one word of past back stories which includes four books. All guns blazing continuously doesn't entertain.

Bravo! This series kicks so much ass. Book 5 was fantastic and in my opinion the best one yet. I'm not going to give away any spoilers, but things get really interesting in the end. Nice twist.
  • Randy Harmelink
Still enjoying the series. But I did get confused at a few points during the book. Not sure if it was me or the writing.

Great Series!!Start from the beginning and you'll be hooked through the end, while still wishing there were more! Fantastic, surprising characters - "the soldier" and his little friend being favorites. Lots of heros and villains herein, in addition to the infected- great balance. I hope we do get one more book. Too many loose ends!!! FIVE STARS!

Another post-apocalyptic story. Didn’t find anything new or exciting and was not enticed to seek out anymore in the series. There are some good scenes and writing isn’t bad. I’m sure the readers of Divergent and Hunger games will eat this series up. Three stars.

The only downside of this entire series is the fact that once you start reading you can't put it down. This is a must have for zombie fans and soldiers past and present.
  • A.J. Newman
I never liked Zombie books but really like this series. Lundy does an excellent job describing the military tactics with enough detail to make the story real but not lose the average reader. The characters are realistic and I'll bet many are based on friends he serves with. Great plot. Great story.
  • Kelley
So far my favorite book in the series. The introduction to Shane has to be one of the best introductions I have ever read.
  • Mysti
One of the most believable zompoc series out!
  • Garrett Fisher
Book 5 and going strong!Fast paced, gritty and realistic. WJ Lundy deve!opes his characters well and keep you entertained. A must read. Starting with book 1 of course!

This review is from: Something To Fight For (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Book 5) (Kindle Edition) W.J. Lundy has done it yet again in his latest installment of WTF series. In SOMETHING TO FGHT FOR, Brad, Sean and the rest of the group are trying to make their way back to the states. Brad is determined to not only find news of his family, the condition of his country but to return back to Afghanistan with help to retrieve the men he left behind. However...

Sailing the east coast of the U.S. in their abandoned Coast Guard vessel they find no survivors and no response to their hails. To their surprise a British submarine surfaces inviting Brad and Shawn to come aboard for a talk with the captain. Aboard the submarine is an American military doctor who has a remarkable tale to tell. He believes there is a young female bitten victim who is immune and desperately needs to be located. She may be the cure...

You will love this one too.Another 5 stars for W. J. Lundy's fifth "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot ," series. Again we meet new characters and a solid hero whom we can identify with. The title says it all about Shane as he struggles through battles with the primals and the humans who are trying to take what what he is fighting for. You will be cheering while he maintains his will against those who might cause harm to the one he is protecting. Brad and his...

W.J. Lundy keeps the pace up, the action fierce, and the danger close! This fifth book in the 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot' series makes the first four books look like training exercises. The action is intense and the stakes are even higher. Changes in the primal behavior, the chance of a cure, more factions to avoid, everyone out to get any of it true? Are primals intelligent? Could there be a cure? Is anyone out there trying to save humani...

Gets better and betterLike my title says, this story just keeps getting better and better. I was so relieved the author didn't drag out chasing Shane and the child throughout the whole book, like many others would have. Thought for a second he was going to and I got a little peeved, then he didn't let me down. In this book we get a mystery that is going to go deep. Who can you trust? So many factions with their own agendas. Just when you are sure...

Too many errors to really enjoy the read...As with the previous books, this volume really needed an editor. Continuity errors, problems with usage, and other issues make what might have been an enjoyable story nothing more than another run-of-the-mill tale. Maybe a few years from now...that might be a good time to check back in and see if there have been any improvements.

Another great read!Storyline is definitely more complicated as the group finds the US is now fragmented and the question is not who are the good guys and who are the bad, the question is, is there a difference?
  • PJ Lea
The action continues...Brad and his colleagues finally reach America but the action intensifies as they have a new objective and new people to protect.Intense and addictive, I'm well and truly hooked on this series.

I have been enjoying this series. I find that I do wanna smack some of the characters upside the head. Very fond of Sean, Brooks, Brad, Hassam and Shane. I am not finding predictability at every turn. Overall - I recommend the series if you like end of the world and soldiers.
  • Rob Lepley
Another really good book in the series. Previously in the series the goal was to make it back to the U.S. Now that they are back there is a major plot change / addition. The author has good characters and a really good plot. I highly recommend the book and the series.

Less annoying females, but nothing much more to distinguish this particular installments from the previous books. Still a good story that continues along a good clip. Grammar issues seem to be a little less than other installments, or maybe I've just grown used to them.
  • Bobbie J. Taschler
Great Series! This is the fifth book of the series I have read. I have the sixth ready to read. This is one of the best zombie series I have read. Characters are well developed and lots of action. Hope it continues for a long time.
  • Monica
I loved this book. It was exciting and fun. I've also read the other books in this series through number 5. Six has been released and I have just started reading it. I am already looking forward to seven.

WowFinally back stateside, our group runs into all kinds of trouble. First a British sub, then a pirate, and also a conspiracy involving a little girl. And they thought the primals were bad.
  • Pdxglide
Awesome!! Page turner Makes walking dead look like a Disney movie. If you've read the series so far you know what I'm talking about if not. Start with the first book and enjoy the adventure.
  • Scot Stockstill
Two words...awesome series!!!5 books in and I would love to read 5 more. Action packed adventure with great characters and a new twist. Will a cure be found? Will Brad make it back to rescue his men? I hope the story continues.
  • Nicola
This series is consistently good. A few hard but heroic men versus the zombie apocalypse just trying to make it home.
  • Mason Stuehm
Yay!!!!Good fast zompac series... Realistic enough to get you prepping for the end. Well written and edited. Looking forward to the next novel.
