I've found this one on Amazon as a freebie and since it had good ratings on GR and is also a spinoff from The Fire and Ice series (which I liked) I thought why not give it a try. I have to say that the story surprised me, since most freebies aren't that good but this one thankfully is. This is more YA than NA, so that means no sex scenes. That would normally bother me but not this time. This author knows how to fill in that empty space with great...

So I've had my eye on this gem for a while, and when the price dropped to FREE I picked it up! So glad I did. (It still is FREE in anticipation for the second book)This is a spin-off series from Erica Steven's Kindred books. I have not read the Kindred series (mainly because it's classified as YA) and didn't feel like I needed to in order to enjoy this series. There are some things that are unclear about Julian's past but are cleared up in the se...

I absolutely love Julian. We first meet him in The Kindred Series, and we initially dislike him, but he grows on you before the end of that series. Erica Stevens finally decided to give him his own story and man did she deliver. This is a super fabulous read and I highly recommend it.

Three and a half For six lonely years Quinn has thought only of revenge against the mysterious vampire who murdered her family. She remembers the blood, the pain and also her rebirth as one of the undead herself. She usually moves around but has recently settled in a small bar in the desert and yes maybe she’s started to feel that she belongs. Everything changes when vampires show up at the bar and an ancient prophecy seems to connect to Quinns...

I guess I am in the minority on this read. It was ok, but I didn’t find anything about it overly enticing. It felt similar to numerous other vampire reads I've checked out. Here's a better breakdown:The action/suspense: 3 out of 5 starsThe romance: 2 out of 5 stars (had a PG feel to it...........a book virgin with a few shared kisses, but other than that the romance never really developed)The characters: 3 of 5 stars - I think they do have pote...

I was drawn to Julian from the start in the Kindred Series. Even when we were supposed to hate and fear him. There was just something about him I couldn't help but love. His debut solo story did not disappoint! Consumed from the beginning to end, Erica Stevens gives her readers just what they expect and were begging for. Quinn is fierce yet innocent. A woman tortured in her past and tortured by herself in the present, she possesses a fire that ca...

This book was everything I thought it would be plus more. I already loved Julian from Erica's other series The Kindred Series and was super excited when I found out he was getting his own story! I liked getting to see a different side of him and I loved how much of a smartass he was. Quinn was an awesome match for Julian she was very strong willed and had a heart breaking back story. I loved that she stood on her own and didn't need to be saved l...

I can't begin to describe how much I love Erica Stevens books she is definitely my Favourite Author. This book does not disappoint. Loved Julian in the Kindred series and Love him even more now. Love the fact that we catch up with characters from Kindred series. Quinn is a great new introduction to Julian's life. Can't wait for book 2 in this series. I recommend this book to all.

i am speechless. i liked this books and how they talk of soulmates that could only a book is just fascinating the whole story.

I loved this book. It was perfect and entertaining and it was a ray of sunshine after a reading slump. Frost Burn is a vampire book with romance and action packed. The lead protagonist is a badass, strong willed and ready to go down fighting. She is likeable and real. But this is not the typical vampire book where girl falls for boy and girl has to learn about his paranormal world. I'm tired of those plots and I'm happy to say that this is differ...

This was an enjoyable read. It is the first book in the Fire and Ice series, but it can be read as a stand-alone story as well. There was a lot of action and it was a nice paranormal romance. There was also a bit of mystery in the story as well. The characters were great. The romance between Quinn and Julian (Dewdrop) was steamy. The ending was nice. Overall, a great read.

Loved Julian's story. Quinn is awesome. Love her fire and how she challenges Julian. And who couldn't love Julian. He's cocky and sexy. Perfect package. Can't wait for more to their story. Erica always outdoes herself.

This is a great read. I love the characters Julian and Quinn.once you start you will not be able to put it down.

Nice - I liked this better than most of Erica Stevens novels. The best series will probably always be The Captive Series, but still - I enjoyed the uncomplicated nature of this story. Also, the "I think I like you but I don't want to admit it" part of the two main characters was absolutely convincing. I have a lot of issues with the concept of the soulmate things - that is to say, in some stories it works for me, in others, it doesn't. So, well d...

It has far to many connections to the other series. So although it claims it can be read separately it really can't. I felt either lost or bombarded with random information for a good 75% of the book.

I got this as a free download and have been pleasantly surprised. My last few free ones haven’t been at all good , but I really liked this one. Good characters. Great chemistry. Intriguing story. I’m hooked

Erica Stevens has an uncanny way of making you love a character that you initially hated. When we first met Julian, in The Kindred series, you wanted to see him hurt in the most painful way and even at the end of that series you liked him but still wanted to smack him.In Frost Burn you see a whole different side of him.. even thought you still want to smack him you also want to hug him and find out where you can get one of your own..Quinn is the ...

Julian, what a swoon worthy man, yes we met him in The Kindred series and I kinda fell for him then, but now, him and Quinn make the absolutely best couple, she's a strong independent woman, bring her in to Julian's smart a$$ attitude and you have a book everyone has to read. Erica Stevens is my all time fav author, why? Because she knows how to bring everything a reader wants to read, there's always action, adventure, fun and laughs and even tea...

Erica Stevens has done it again. This is a great start to Julian's story. I initially didn't like him in the Kindred series, but he grew on me. I love his interactions with Quinn. She definitely puts him in his place a few times. I also liked how his character has evolved from the bad boy he used to be. He made me melt during a couple of spots in the story. As soon as you pick it up you will not be able to put it down. Definitely a must read this...

Wow! Like all the other Brenda K Davies and Erica Stevens books, this book leaves you anywhere from being unable to stop reading to begging the author for more! You will fall in love with the beautiful, hot, sexy Julian and his adventures with Quinn. What great characters that drawl you in!

Frost Burn by Eric's Stevens tells a tale of vampires and guardians formerly mortal enemies but now they're friends, hunting wild, animalistic vampires who kill humans for the mad joy it gives the vampires. Were introduced to Luthar and Quinn. A reformed vampire and a guardian.

** 3.5 stars ** This was a good read. Didn't wow me, but I am definitely going to read more. I'm intrigued to know what happens next :)

This is the first time reading anything by this author and I enjoyed it. I have not decided yet if I will continue the series though. This story has fun characters, romance and action.

While the cover suggested this might be a heavy romance read, it hit on a slightly different scale...exactly as I'd hoped it would.Quinn is not the type of heroine to fall for any guy. She's got more than enough on her plate as a vampire, who's just trying to live a normal 'human' life. Thanks to the well established vampire world which she does not want to get involved in, she's doing her best to stay under the radar. And it's been working. She'...

Quinn is a vampire but she hides in plain sight, working nights in a bar. She’s been running for a long time and it’s hard to move again. Ultimately she wants to hunt down the vampire who killed her family but she’s got kind of sidetracked. And then a man walks into the bar who makes a rather vivid impression on her. Julian is an Elder. One of the two remaining after the wars. He’s over five hundred years old and he’s never met anyone li...
