I have a love affair with Kylie Scott's writing. Her characters have this humorous, self-deprecating voice that just chimes with me. In Chaser we finally get Eric's story, who is Joe's brother, male main character of Twist. Back when I read Joe's book I was curious how the author will make me love the immature, self-absorbed man-ho Eric was portrayed as. I'm happy to report that Kylie Scott passed with flying colors.Eric's friends have been real...

This was a sweet and fun read. I’m new to the Dive Bar series so those of you that haven’t read any of the other books in the series, like me, this is a complete standalone. Yes characters from previous books make an appearance, but it doesn’t take away from the story of Eric & Jean. Eric is a partner in the ownership of the Dive Bar. He’s single and man does he like to mingle. He gets a lot of crap about it from everyone he knows and eve...

5 Fab Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Kylie Scott is hands-down one of my absolute favorite romance authors.... she writes the most fabulous characters.... all with such amazing senses of humor and self awareness.... especially when it comes to her male characters... I think I’ve fallen in love with all of them and Eric is no exception.... this book was told entirely from the male point of view and I loved it.... I think the only thing I missed out o...

This is definitely the best book in this series. I liked the first one, the second one pissed me off and I can't stand the couple from that book, but this one had a couple that I loved. He is a reformed bad boy. Love that trope. She is 7 months pregnant when they meet. They end up neighbors and he ends up taking her to the hospital when she's in labor. He reacts in a completely reasonable way while he takes her into the emergency room: "Help," I ye...

4,5 stars Chaser was fantastic, the story was brilliant and the characters unique! If you have read this series before, you have already met Eric!I was so excited to read his book and see what Kylie has for him. Chaser is a romantic, sweet and funny story!Kylie Scott did an amazing job with this one and especially with Eric's POV since the book is all in his point of view!I loved that Eric in the end he isn't the manwhore that everyone think! I lov...

Find all of my reviews at: http://52bookminimum.blogspot.com/2.5 StarsWhen it comes to my enjoyment of pornography romance novels, there are only a few things required for me to have an okay time:1. A good cover;2. A tired trope I approve of; and3. Non-squicky sex. You know what I’m talking about – stuff NOT like this . . . . Chaser gets an average rating due to the following:1. The thumbnail of the cover looks like James Franco in Pineapple...

***IT'S ALIVE!!!***Finding the right one…I think love makes sense when you find the right one to share your heart with. Before the right one, you experiment. You test the waters, make mistakes, think it's love, decide it couldn't feel like this and decide it's just not worth it. Well, it’s different when you’re really in love. You BOTH do anything to make it work and it's never too hard. You’re pushing and pulling to get it right. In my c...

3 stars I think this might be the end of Kylie Scott and me. I loved her early books, but the last few I haven't really connected with and I'm starting to feel like I'm picking on her when I don't enjoy a new book.First things first, what I liked about this book and why it's a 3 star rating and not lower. Single mother trope, reformed bad boy trope, and the special appearance of Stage Dive. I liked that this book was from Eric's perspective becau...

This was defnitely my favorite out of the three, but it also frustrated me the most. Funny thing is, that it wasn't even the MC's that I wanted slap, but one of the sidecharacters. Full review to come soon, but I did really enjoy this one and Eric is no my fav of the series....who would have thunk it :P Oh and for those who want to know...yes Mal does make a very small appearance..as does Jimmy (my love)

4 starsThere are many more exceptional and more rounded reviews than mine so please check them out and don't let me stop you from picking up the book. This is mostly notes rather than actual review. My rating for this would have been much higher if it wasn't for the secondary characters. Though some of them meant well, almost all of them were of no help to Eric. And one in specific drove me crazy. I wanted to read her book when reading book 2 but ...

Another great opening scene by Ms. Scott. We know the hero, Eric, from the previous books as a manwhore who can be carefree when it comes to money and work. So, when he hits on Jean the new girl in town it's fun to watch his reaction when he discovers she's pregnant. *gasp* His gal pal, Nell, is especially hard on him about how immature he is with his life choices. She has her reasons which we know from the 2 previous books. Even though she think...

Title: Chaser ( Dive Bar, #3) Author: Kylie Scott Genre: Contemporary Romance Publication date: April 17, 2018 There is a reason why I love Kylie Scott's books. You never know what you're going to get when you read her books. If you've read the Dive Bar series before, you know the type of guy Eric is- A prime example of self-absorbed, fun loving, no commitment, seriously good looking (Not fair!) guy. I was a little apprehensive about reading Eric...

This book has been gifted by the author but it had no influence on my willing and always honest review. 4 stars This book was quick, easy and fun to read. This review contains spoilers if you haven’t read the other books of the series. It’s best to be read in order even if you could read it as a standalone without being too lost.Characters: Eric. Bartender and part owner of The Dive bar and restaurant. Womanizer. Will I finish? Well, that's a big 'ol TBD. There's something nice about that idea since I am in 64% or so...but there's something unpalatable too...cause I'm so bored. And this story is, frankly, stupid.I might be answering my own question here.Everyone around Eric is a dick to Eric. I have kind of low tolerance for even those closest to us thinking they know exactly who we are and taking that as entitlement to be unkind. And that's what we have ...

Remember Eric? He got up to all sorts of shenanigans in Twist that actually turned out okay in the end but he has a very mischevious side to him that is revealed more in this story.Eric lives above the Dive Bar that he co owns with Lydia and Nell in his recently refurbished apartment. He has a bit of a love/hate thing with Nell and they often butt heads on just about everything. They have a bit of history together and as a result of this Nell has...

“Sweetheart, I’m pretty much wrapped around your finger.” YASSS! Eric finally gets his happily ever after! Full of hilarity and heart, CHASER was an amazing addition to Kylie Scott’s addicting and sexy Dive Bar Series! I couldn’t have imagined a more sweeter romance for Eric and Jean. These two were SO DAMN GREAT together. Be warned, this was no instant gratification love story. This was a slow-burn romance that hit all the right button...

RTCHowever Nelle is the biggest judgemental opinionated bitch I’ve ever seen. She’s nobody’s friend!I understand Eric and her had history, but did Eric get her pregnant by himself? Or did he ask her to cheat on her husband (I can’t remember if she was divorced, separated or what, and I frankly don’t care at this point)?NOTHING justifies her hostile behaviour towards Eric, unless we bring in her own guilt into the calculation. Which was ...

I feel like my review of book two in the Dive Bar series said something like, 'rah rah I've never given Scott less than four, sunshine, unicorns, I love her books' and here I am stamping this with a not-a-four. CHASER was easily my least favourite book in this series because almost all the supporting characters pissed me off. Mainly Nell.Eric isn't the most mature, responsible, or mature and responsible man, but everyone treated him horribly. I j...

3.5-4 ★'s I have to be honest, Eric's book wasn't one I was looking forward to and if you've read any of the books of the series, you can understand why. But since I always pull for the underdog, I decide to give it a go. And for the most part, Eric did me proud. He definitely wasn't the problem. Instead, the author turns things around on the other characters and especially Nell...WTH? I really hate when that happens to a ~somewhat~ favorite ch...

Ahh Eric I luv you. I enjoyed this book. I 've been dying for Eric to get his HEA since the first book in this series. I know that he is wild and a bit of manwhore, but I luv him in this book. The way he was with Ada just melted my heart. Even the way he was with Jean was so cute. With not seeing this side of Eric if was as great surprise and just made him even more sexier. I really think he tried so hard to change his ways in this book to just h...

Review posted on http://www.afterdarkbooklovers.com/20...The GoodEric is a charming rogue and he sold this romance all by himself. The story is told strictly from his POV and, while I missed hearing from Jean, I think Eric is funny enough and charming enough to make this work. I have a soft spot for loveable rogues, because their emotional journeys can be so satisfying when done well. Eric has spent quite a bit of time being the self-involved ass...

We're back in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to finally witness the Happily Ever After of Eric and ... Jean?Eric. We all remember him as the manwhore idiot who didn't really have a plan for his life.He owns the bar with Nell and Lydia and he shows up for work on time. But people still don't trust him. His friends and family think he only lives for one-night stands and a fun time. But he doesn't. Not anymore. He's been thinking of getting a real girlfriend!...

I don't know how this happened but I started to root for the guy I didn't even like in the previous books. Weird, right? That's Kylie Scott for you. For some reason I found myself defending Eric in my mind when Nell was ripping into him and Jean's parents were judgy and I was like, Woah! Did that just happen?Jean and Eric were the best ever, the perfect friends-to-lovers I've read about in a long time and all the personal growth Eric went through...

I’m surprised to find myself rating a book from this series a ‘3’ but here we are. Chaser focuses on Eric, that annoying tool I remember from the previous books, known for his messy entanglement with Nell. It’s not the best introduction to a hero but worse characters than Eric have been redeemed. Jean is the lead female in this book and she’s solid, strong and interesting.Jean brings something along with her to this ride, this little ta...

Chaser was the third book in the Dive Bar series by Kylie Scott.Eric Collins was the co-owner of the Dive Bar. He was gorgeous, reckless, a flirt, pretty shallow and a total playboy. She left her old life for a fresh new beginning.Eric and Jean met on her ...
