I totally loved this book. Brooding arrogant male and female lead ready to knock him off his pedestal. Where do I sign? Adam Meade school quarterback, goodlooking, cocky, rude and a heartbreaker. He is everything Claire Collins wants to avoid. Her father has taken a new job which means they are moving yet again. Claire loved her old school and her ex-boyfriend. Unfortunately, he didn't want to do the whole long distance thing. Claire is trying to...

Rating: 4.5 StarsYep, I am writing this review with a few happy tears in my eyes, because Surviving Adam Meade did a great job of hitting me right in the feels.Who?• Claire, the coaches daughter and resident new girl, who was still trying to recover from a broken heart. Her goal was to get into the college of her choice and avoid boys, especially football players, at all costs. • Adam, the quarterback and resident football hero, who shunned m...

Three Amazing Things About SURVIVING ADAME MEADE1. FNL feels. Are you obsessed with Friday Night Lights like I am? Then this is the book for you. It brought me right back to the weeks I spent binge watching that show a few years back, and gave me all of the same swoony feels. Friendship! Football! Kissing!2. Claire + Adam = Sparks. I mean really -- is there anything better than two characters yelling at each other because they *actually* want to ...

Surviving Adam Meade is Shannon Klare's debut novel. It tells the story of Claire Collins' senior year. The problem: she had to change schools because of her dad's job. She left behind her a past and a passion for football. That was until she befriended Riley and met Adam Meade.Honestly, this book could have used at least another hundred pages. I spent half the book asking myself if I hadn't read over whole paragraphs because I couldn't believe e...

Actual Rating: 4.5Advance copy received through Xpresso Book ToursWhat a fantabulous book! “Surviving Adam Meade” is everything I could’ve asked for in a book! That’s relieving since the last book I read was trash. Anyway, this book had everything I want in my contemporary romances:•Cute Couples•Connections to other books•Characters with great senses of humor•and Happily ever after! The books I connected this to were “Challenge A...

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange of a honest review. I recently had the chance to read one of my most anticipated Contemporary books of this year, Surviving Adam Meade by Shannon Klare, it was a very fun story that made me laugh more than once🙌🤣While reading this story I noticed how Claire learned how to move on from her past and started to live a new life surrounded by people who cared about her, who supported her and even ...

I LOVE a good slowburn hate-to-love and this one delivers. Adam and Claire have amazing chemistry and I each of them had really interesting family dynamics. Perfect for fans of Friday Night Lights!
  • nick
Umm yeah. This book was not for me. The main character really grated on my nerves and I felt like most of the characters were one-dimensional.
  • Mehak Garg
Oh God! That ending was heartbreaking! :'(

Quick and cute read. Sometimes a new chapter would start and I’d feel like I missed something, but no, it was just a little choppy. Cute story though, and absolutely adored Adams grandma.

    1. Claire had me laughing more times than I can count.2. There's a lovely balance between the fun, flirty elements and the more serious topics.3. Still, I feel like there's a lack of depth and description when it comes to the characters. I never felt like I had a firm grasp on who they were, what they looked like, and what, aside from some surface level aspects, motivated them.4. The enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance is developed rather well. ...

3.5 stars. Finally finished, and what an unexpected turn this book took.Surviving Adam Meade is a hilarious, adorable and heartbreaking story about two teenagers, Claire Collins and Adam Meade, who fall in love despite their better judgments. I was hooked at the beginning, and although it did get a bit slow in the middle, I binged the last few chapters because oh my goodness I was not expecting that ending.I loved the characters. Claire was hilari...

I received this eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review. Release date: August 14, 2018Claire is having a rough time right now. Because her father got a new job coaching football in North Carolina, she is being forced to move her senior year from Alabama. Away from her friends, her cheerleading squad, and her boyfriend. And because she was moving away, her ex, Seth, decided to dump her because he didn't want to do long distance with he...

Surviving Adam MeadeI LOVED IT!It wasn't at all cliché and sappy like other teen fiction romances. This book was simply wonderful. . . except for the heartbreaking ending that ripped my heart out and stomped on it repeatedly.Adam Meade was a complete jerk at the beginning, but even then I sort of liked him for not holding back and not caring what people think of him at all. It was actually an admirable trait that I wish I had myself. He did what...

👉🏽Full Review Here 👈🏽Biased Texan Clause:Okay, so this book will be loved by all Texans/Natives simply because it is based on our states mandatory Friday night activity, HS Football or termed FNL= Friday Night Lights. My kids had 28 tardies at the close of last year. I am chronically late to church each Sunday (which starts at 12:30pm). But this past week I got up at 5am sharp to get in line for our HS football season tickets... I was...

Received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.Overall....a fun, quick read. Very reminiscent of my high school days. A little choppy on the transitions in places, but overall I enjoyed this book. What I loved: I loved the chemistry and the witty banter. I loved the love/hate relationship between Claire and Adam. It was very and reminded of my own high school days. What I liked: Claire's parents. They were more like my current pare...

Le sigh... I mean, this was just a sweet, feel-good, romance of a book. Believable, nuanced, characters, a great setting, and a super fun romance. Also... football! It wasn't at all overdone (something I think easily happens in YA contemp romance). SURVIVING ADAM MEADE was just right and I thoroughly enjoyed it.The writing was lovely and, while the story ending was 100% satisfying, it wasn't super cliched or 'they lived happily ever after. The en...

An enjoyable and breezy, if predictable, YA contemporary romance. This book doesn't do anything new or profound, and it's light on character development, but it's still fun enough that it's an easy, quick read. There was also a good bit of dialogue that was genuinely witty and laugh-out-loud funny. One of my biggest eyeroll moments is when Claire is mad that Adam won't change his college plans for her, even though they've only known each other a f...

Received an ARC of this book at BookCon.A quick, fun read. I finished it over the course of two (busy) days. This would be really good for getting you out of a reading slump. Friday Night Light style books are definitely my guilty pleasure. I was surprised with how invested I got in the story and with the characters. There were points where I got choked up and parts where I found myself smiling like an idiot because the story was so cute. If you ...

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. This book just didn’t do it for me. The story wasn’t very original. Girl moves to new town, boy back home broke her heart and she swears off dating. Meets guy at new school, they have a hate/love relationship. Have you read that before? The characters came off very one dimensional and this isn’t a story thats going to stay with me. Blog | Instagram | Twitter

*I received an e-galley from Netgalley in return for an honest review.*I am not usually a romance reader, but had the chance to get a galley of this book and thought I'd give it a try. I ended up really enjoying the story. Claire and Adam love to hate each other at the beginning and continue their antics after they realize they are more than friends. I found this relationship more interesting and liked that it wasn't all mushy romance.

I read an early version of this on Swoon Reads. It made me so emotional, haha. It was great. I had a few small qualms that made it 4 stars as opposed to 5, but I'm guessing it will be a 5-star read when it's done. I'm excited to read a finished copy next summer, because I want to be able to talk to other people about this book, hahaha.(PS: The "dates read" are estimated. I can't remember the exact dates for sure.)

THIS BOOK KILLED ME....I AM A PUDDLE ON MY FLOOR...WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY HANDS ON THE SECOND BOOK?!?!?!?!?Seriously, this book was everything I wasn't expecting but everything that I needed to read. I can't say anything else other than buy this book as soon as it comes out...and seriously, what can I do to get my hands on the sequel?! Thanks to Swoon Reads for the ARC!

Amazingly adorable! I loved how the characters actually acted and talked like high school kids! It has all the emotions and problems that will take a reader back to the fun parts of HS! Claire and Adam are so awful and hate each other at the start of the book! It’s fun to watch their relationship change! I highly recommend it for all YA lovers! Very clean and only minor swearing!
