Cherished Mercy is the third book in the heart of the frontier series set in the 1840's by Tracie Peterson. When I started to listen to this audiobook i wasn't aware that this book was part of a trilogy. This didn't spoil my enjoyment one bit as I thought it was fine as a stand alone.I enjoyed every minute I spent listening to this audiobook and it's one of my top reads for this year.Even though this book was third in the series I so want to list...

So far, this has got to be my favorite series by Tracie Peterson. It is fast paced and leaves you wanting for more. It will keep you turing the pages way past midnight for sure!!Mercy has a great adventure waiting ahead of her. I felt like I was on one with her. There were just so many things that were exciting happening that I could hardly keep up!! I'm glad she kept Grace and Hope and their families in the story too!!! I couldn't imagine having...

If you have read my other reviews of the books in the Heart of the Frontier series (‘Treasured Grace‘ and ‘Beloved Hope‘) you’ll notice that my review of each book was a bit more positive then the previous. Perhaps because I grew to know the characters better with each addition. Perhaps because the story line and the plot grew on me more. Perhaps . . . Who knows, probably both those things and a myriad more I can’t think of right now....

Why I Choose this Book:I can’t even remember any more. Maybe because I like the name Mercy? (Oh, that’s as bad as judging the book by the cover…. #oops)What I Thought about this Book:People, I’m sorry. It just didn’t work for me. I had been planning on reading the first two books in the series before reading this one, but then after looking into them I felt like the series as a whole might be a little too much of a romantic overload for...

Cherished Mercy is the third installment from Tracie Peterson's Heart of the Frontier series. I have not read the others in the series and did not feel lost or feel like I was missing something that had happened in the earlier books. So, I would say it can be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed Cherished Mercy. I felt like I was transported back in time to the early frontier and experience the struggles and horrors the people went through to live. I...

Have you ever read a story that you didn't want to end? Do you mourn over the loss of characters from a story once you finish a book? That's where I'm at right now!! I have anxiously been awaiting the release of the third book in the Heart of the Frontier series by Tracie Peterson. I finally took the time to read this book today. It only took me 5 hours to reunite with Mercy, fall in love with Adam, and grow a great appreciation of Hope, Grace, a...

I don't even know how to start this review, this book was probably my favorite out of the entire series! Well, maybe not I really did like the first book but this is still one of the best books in the series!! Just like how the other two books were about Mercy's older sisters, Hope and Grace, this one is about Mercy. Oh my goodness I don't even know where to start because this book was sooooooooooo GOOD!!!!! Okay maybe I'll start with what this b...

5 stars so I reread and I bumped it to five stars mostly because of how it fits in with the other two books though it is still my least fav. and I'll tell you why. this book seems forced in so many aspects. Mercy and Adam's relationship is okay but well the other books situations and feelings seemed organtic this one had situatons that seems to be forced only because of the Christian base of the book. the main one being how the Faith Situation wa...

Cherished Mercy is the third book in the "Heart of the Frontier" series by bestselling author Tracie Peterson. (Note I have not read the first two books, but the third is easy to follow on its own.) Although I was a bit put off by the politically correct history depiction and implications as written (specifically American "conquest" of land), I found the story itself endearing. Mercy is an adventurous young woman with a kind heart and a gentle sp...

For as long as I can remember I have loved western stories. Probably came after my introduction to the Louis L'Amor novels that may have jump started my love of the simple life but also a very difficult and hostile life as well. I have been honored to read all of the novels in Tracie Peterson's Heart of the Frontier series and her final one in the series is Cherished Mercy. Each of the novels have introduced the reader to the Flanagan sisters and...

I came across the first book in the series, Treasured Grace, by chance and I became invested in the lives of the Flanagan Sisters. This book was focused on Mercy, the youngest of the sisters, and it was a very fitting end to the series. Mercy, who was quite young in the first book, has grown up quite a bit since I last saw her (I haven’t yet read the second book in the series so that was quite a while ago). Both her sisters have married and hav...

About the Book:The Inspiring Conclusion to Tracie Peterson's Heart of the Frontier SeriesMercy Flanagan survived the Whitman Massacre as a child, and now her heart's cry is for peace between the native peoples and the white settlers inhabiting Oregon Territory. I loved this book! It was the 3rd in a series called Heart of the Frontier. Grace, Hope and Mercy were all strong women characters. But I just thought this 3rd book was written so well and the story kept you on the edge of your seat. I read it in like 2 days because I couldn't put it down. Had a nice opening with Mercy going to the Mission to help Issac and Eletta and to meet Faith (who is actually Hope's daughter). Mercy interacts with the India...

Cherished Mercy by Tracie Peterson is a delightful Christian historical romance. It is the third book in the Heart Of The Frontier series but can be read as a stand-alone as the previous two books are incorporated in the story. I would recommend reading the previous two books first as they will help in the reader's understanding of character development and why some characters behave as they do.This series has followed three sisters through the r...

However, most of the settlers want them gone at all costs. Eletta Browning and her husband became friends with the Flanagan sisters on their journey to the Whitman Mission. About the Book:After surviving the Whitman Massacre as a child, Mercy Flanagan is all grown up with a strong faith and generous spirit. So when family friend, Eletta Browning, who is suffering from a difficult pregnancy asks for Mercy's help, she is more than willing to move to the Rogue River Valley and the Browning Mission to lend a hand. I have long been a fan of Tracie Peterson’s novels and was quite happy to have the opportunity to review “Cherished Mercy”. As it is the final book in a three book series, I decided to purchase the first two books and actually had a chance to read the series in order. Time constraints have prevented me from writing reviews for the first two thus far but I was blessed to have the background provided by “Treasured Grace” and “Beloved Ho...

First sentence: "Push, Hope. You have to push," Grace commanded. Mercy Flanagan wiped her sister's forehead as she labored to give birth to her baby. After ten hours of intense pain, Hope had clearly weakened.Premise/plot: Cherished Mercy is the third book in Tracie Peterson's Heart of the Frontier series. Mercy Flanigan was aptly named. Her ability to show mercy to others amazes those around her, but she realizes that when you embrace bitterness and grudges there isn’t room for the things you’d rather embrace. A lesson we can all benefit from. Mercy is the youngest of the three Flanigan sisters, and the main character in this third and final installment of the Heart of the Frontier series. To truly appreciate her story, the reader would greatl...

Each time I read each book I learn to love the characters and continue to read about their journeys. The main guys. I like each and every one of them and each time I think I like the new guy better than the first. It’s probably just becaus...

It has been forever since I've written a review... or read a book... or done anything non-academic. (Actually, that's not true. I do non-academic stuff all the time.) Anywho... Cherished Mercy was an incredible climax to this series. The baby of the family finding h...
