4-4,5 stars I devoured The Duke with The Dragon Tattoo. I could easily say that The Highwayman and this one are my favorite in the series!I can't stop my self from keep falling in love, with the world she has created!A world of danger, lust and passion.I loved the plot from the beginning, I was intrigued to see what will happen. There were moments it was emotional. The connection between Lorelei and Ash was amazing! They started being sweet when they...

I smiled when his knife hit its mark…You might not believe this, but I have read another AMAZING STORY!!! How do I genuinely convince you that THIS was the best book I’ve read when I’ve said that about nearly all the books I’ve read…in the LAST MONTH!! It's like authors got together for a convention and decided to release their best work over the last month. Thank you, but, geez, couldn't you spread it out a bit? Or, thank you, could yo...

Hollis' review HERE pretty much sums up my feelings on this one.Strong start, stodgy middle, contrived ending. Plus his being a duke is completely peripheral and reads as though it's been thrown in for the sake of it. I know lots of writers these days are being told "make your hero a duke - dukes sell." I'll post a more detailed review when I review the audio version sometime in August.

Ye gads. Well, uh. I'm not sure what happened but I think this is my least favourite of the Victorian Rebels series. Being a fan of skipping blurbs, I didn't know what I was going into beyond what had been set up in the last few books. And the opening chapters of THE DUKE WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO and the premise for the where and why of Rook's beginning (well, a certain beginning) was probably the best part. It wasn't perfect, and certainly isn't m...

***ARC received for an honest review***That ole Kerrigan Byrne Magic - back in action. Dannnnnnnnng, y’all. Here we go with a rambling feely-feels review that doesn’t talk much about the plot - bc spoilers. ”Don’t go, she’d murmured. Stay here. With me. And so, he had. He’d lived only because she bade him to.”Basically - have you read the rest of this series? Did you love it? Did you really really really love the first one? That who...

I really loved this book. This series is great historical romance with interesting antiheroes and strong heroines. I loved learning The Rook’s story and how he fits with the other characters in this series.

This book was incredible. I am going to be book hungover for a while. A long while. There is no one who writes tortured heroes as effectively as Kerrigan Byrne. I have almost no words. I don't know what think or how to exist anymore. Let me enumerate my feelings.I'm SO HAPPY Dorian is found. The Rook gets his book! I could honestly go on forever about how ecstatic I was to get my hands on this story. Poor Dorian! He has been with us from book one,...

I received this novel from net galley and the publisher for an honest review. Thank you! This novel takes place in two parts. Lorelei Weatherstoke was crippled by her brother as a child, for he is a cruel individual and her parents did nothing. She finds a boy lying naked, badly injured, unconscious, and no memory of his previous life except a dragon tattoo. Lorelei calls him Ash and she falls in love with him. Ash falls in love with Lorelei and m...

After The Highwayman, I didn’t think Kerrigan Byrne could actually make me feel and fall for characters the way I did with Dorian and Farrah. Like ever. Well, Byrne gets multiple gold stars, because I loved Ash and Lorelai! (Granted, Dorian and Farrah still squeak a tiny bit ahead😊) The Duke With the Dragon Tattoo had me wishing I lived next to tumultuous coastlines, gazing longingly at the horizon, looking for pirate ships and broody captai...

Received for review from Netgalley and I just had to dive straight in ! Sorry but a book about a notorious pirate just fired up my imagination particularly as the author has previously teased us with the Rook as a peripheral character. If you have a soft spot for pirates ( who hasn’t?) and a hankering for a bodice ripping romance then this is the book for you. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the whole series although sadly this one perhaps lacks acti...

I can’t even describe how anxious I was for this book. Kerrigan Byrne’s entire Victorian Rebels series has been nothing short of spectacular. I swear each book is more phenomenal than the last and this one was absolutely glorious. Lots of tangled connections are revealed in this intricately woven story that I promise, if you’ve read all the series, you’ll be gasping “OMG” several times. I don’t want to give anything away, but, OMG, ...

Ok, this is a great series and this is the best book in the series so far. It has it all, great hero with a sweet heroine not as sassy. There’s action, and some laugh out loud humor. But, what I like most is it’s likable. Fun, enjoyable read.

You guys. You guys. I am exhausted today because I stayed up late and didn't get to bed until 4am just so I could finish this series by Kerrigan Byrne. I wanted to read them in order before I dived into The Duke With The Dragon Tattoo and Oh. My. God. It was so good. SO. GOOD. My heart absolutely melted for Rook. MELTED.Some of my favorite quotes from this book --"I was born the moment I heard your voice commanding me to live. And you have been m...

Sexy and full of bite, this has been an enjoyable and exciting read. It’s not just your run of the mill historical, no, it is spiced with action adventure and mystery. A wonderful storyline with equally electrifying characters, giving this book its awesome enticing melody. I like the hero Rook with the chink in his armor, that being Lorelai. A wonderful climatic end that leaves me curious as to who is Veronica’s new husband, is it who I think...

*5 million stars. Utterly astounding.Byrne has once more ensnared my soul with this bewitching, knee-buckling, and brilliantly dark love story. From the opening scene where we watch the dragon tattoo inked on our hero/anti-hero, I was spellbound. The Rook and Lorelai are the most exquisite pairing of beauty and the beast. His dark past threatens to swallow him whole, but the light and benevolence of Lorelai saves him time and time again. Completel...

The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By Kerrigan ByrneI have to preface my review with, this was a phenomenal book. I find it quite difficult to review an author this tuned to the lives shared by her characters. I know this was a strong sometimes horrific read. When Lorelai finds Ashe beaten almost to death on the road she takes him in their home and cares for him. After months he is fully recuperated. He has no memory of his past of hi...

First Thanks to Netgallery for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. So this is the first time I have read a book by Kerrigan Byrne. I have to say I really enjoyed her writing style. When I read this book with the MC had a Tattoo. I had to read. I can only recall one other book I have read in Historical Romance with one of the MC's have a Tattoo. That alone got my attention. Then the whole amnesia thing was the closer. So the stor...

Kerrigan Byrne writes wonderfully complex books that leave the reader feeling every emotion – love, hate, sympathy, worry, anger, laughter, joy and wraps them all in a great read with a HEA.Our hero was mistaken for another boy in prison, beaten and left for dead in a field. Lorelai noticed he was alive when her family carriage passed the field. They took him in and she cared for him as he got well. As he had no memory, she named him Ash. As th...

I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review. This is book 6 in the Victorian Rebels series, because I haven't read any of Ms Byrne's books before I found you can read this books as a standalone, and I will definitely be reading more of Ms Byrne's books.Lorelai has such a kind heart she is always finding animals that are injured. Considering that Lorelai is so lovely, its such a shame she has the most horrible brother and her ...

There was everything in this book that makes it a good romance. A hero who has dark secrets, a heroine with a heart of gold, a treasure hunt, murder and mayhem. Ash and Lorraine are two souls meant to be together. Twenty years after they parted ways, they come together and over the course of the book, are able to heal each other's souls. It is not your average romance that is girl meets boy and falls in love. Kerrigan Byrne manages to sneak in a ...

Swoon worthy and romantic with a dash of emotion and excitement. I love the secret that is the Rook. And the epicness of a 20 year longing has my heart all squishy. I can’t even imagine how that felt! Theirs was a romance that was meant to be. Oh, how I wanna reread it again. This series is one of my favorites and seeing a few past characters makes this book even more amazing. This series has a way of turning even the most notorious villains in...
