New rule: you REALLY should NOT be having sex if you have to resort to using juvenile terms (like 'playing cards' and 'dancing the maypole') because you apparently feel uncomfortable using the word 'sex'. Every time either of those phrases were used (24 times total), I got the sick feeling that a child instead of a young woman was having sex, and it seriously disturbed me especially considering her mate is over a hundred years old. This was way w...

Holy pancakes!I loved the end of this book, even if I didn't love Ryn's idiosyncratic slang. Once again, Wagner had me surprised - and heartbroken. Characters I loved from the first two books were falling to the ground like autumn leaves. An epic battle has epic consequences. But first, the path to the epic battle was exciting and adventurous. Ryn continues to develop her powers and new characters are introduced to engage your emotions, make you l...

Almost a DNFI don’t have a ton to say about the book. I finished it for the sake of finishing. My biggest turn offs for novels are adults who act like children. I don’t want to read about people having sex if they’re too immature to call it sex. There’s only so many times you can refer to it as “dancing the maypole” and “playing cards” before it just gets too cringe to continue. It really made me feel like I was reading about a you...

What an amazing ride!!I loved this whole series. Even though Ryn started out as a naive child, she grew into an amazing woman who found her place. She went through so much pain and heartache but she still fought for what she knew was the right thing.Ryn and Tyrrick together was just adorable and I loved them together. An epic journey for sure!

Sometimes the best things do come in three'sHow do you review a series that you now consider to be the best YA fantasy of all time? with gif's of courseYUP I think that accurately covers the range of emotions this one put me through! I'm sad its over but I think it was wonderfully done in a trilogyBook 1 was for Ryn to discover her heritage and for Tyrrik Book 2 was for the Phaeton and Book 3 was for Emperor Draedyn The most significant change th...

Tyrrik Tyrrik Tyrrik. Oh how I love you Tyrrik.I will happily sing songs about you Tyrrik. This Drae, you guys! I am happily swooning every other page, y'all!I LOVED this series!3.5 stars.I'm deducting points for the last couple chapters cause though I was able to make sense of them, they did not mesh AT ALL and could use some serious heavy handed editing in my humble opinion. Now back to Tyrrik.I finally see why odes were written.I will write them...

A satisfying end to a great series. There wasn’t quite as much humor in this book as book two, but Ryn and Tyrrick are one of my favorite couples. There’s a lot of action in this book, and I’m sad to see that it’s the end of this series. PS - where’s my scene where Ryn sees Tyrrick’s horde??? Can I get an outtake of that pretty please???

DNF at 55%I cannot give a single fuck about anything that happens. This series started off so strong, I invested. Then this book came, and gross.I'm bored. Nothing is happening, n-o-t-h-i-n-g.I'm uncomfortable. The author spent over two books building this lusty angst only to have it be juvenile and awkward. I have zero interest in reading about someones sex life when they can't even use proper terms for things because they are JUVENILE AND AWKWA...

Ryn really loves freaking potato’s. 😂The best part of the series is the world building. It’s absolutely incredible, and I love the different races, the powerful and strong Drae, the Phaetyn healers and the Drumans. I found the plot slightly more difficult so get attached to than the previous two books, but it was fulfilling, and it wasn’t boring. It was just a little “meh” at times. It’s dark fantasy, so blood and gore and crazy fi...

Ummm it's ok could have been betterI'm really disappointed with this series. The first book was solid, evolving multifaceted characters, intriguing plot but then it went flat. Ryan wound up being a one dimensional charicture. She never matured and grew into her self. The authors focused on her bond with tyrrik. They didn't put the effort into expanding her other relationships and how they could have changed her and given her more depth. Tyrrik sh...

In this conclusion to the series, Ryn gathers up her friends and they begin to wage war against her father, the Emperor, Draedyn. Her growing bond with Tyrrik is put to the ultimate test when her father captures her and invades her mind. Faced with losing everyone she loves, Ryn must learn to use the magic within her to defeat her father.3.5 stars are more accurate. I liked how Ryn and Tyrrik strengthened their relationship (mentally and physical...

I CAN'T WAIT 😭😭 I love these books so much...they've become a part of me hahaha

The first 2 books were better
Entertaining but flawedThe main characters are likable, except for most of the first book. However, their behavior and characteristics don't evolve during the books much. Her powers do during the first 2 books. Primarily maddening to me, were the mistakes the 2 main characters kept repeating : walking into potential enemy camp with no plan whatsoever and no reconnoitering or even basic observation of the new area prior to showing up. Then, they'r...

Overall Rating: 4Heroine: The most powerful dragon and queen of potatoes of all timeDude: Can I “play cards” with him? Please?! ;) Steaminess: We volunteer for The Question Game!Brutality: Open heart surgery by talonsThis series is one the most pleasant surprises I’ve gotten from Kindle Unlimited. Though, with Kelly St. Clare and Raye Wagner involved I shouldn’t be surprised!

A confusing haphazard melodramatic Sprint to the end that makes the series an okay one time read. This had the feel of two books crammed into one, and one where the ultimate antagonist was rather uninteresting. It made the series as a whole weaker in the end. A lot happened in the latter half of the book and it was rushed, confusing, and a bit of a letdown. It almost feel as if the author's just wanted to get finished. While I have little doubt th...

It just lost me. Somewhere in here, I just wasn't interesting in continuing on. I put it down for a while, and just never got the urge to get back into it.I think her pushing him away constantly became annoying. Then when she finally decided to not push him away, I wasn't happy about them being together.

Expecting MoreI really did love this ending, don't get me wrong. But, I thought that the "playing cards" scenes should have been a bit more. The authors did a great job with the slow burn climb in the first two books, I just felt like it lacked the chemistry you built it up with didn't get the satisfaction in the end.
  • Lina
Overly ChildishThe story had potential, but I felt that it was extremely childish and the the sarcasm way overplayed. I couldn't bare to read "playing cards" again. Honestly the plot was there, but felt flat with Rhyn actually influencing Tyrrik more than him influencing her. The maturity he carried the other books with was turned over to dumb references to sex. Too bad ....

DNFI like a good YA but this series got overly obnoxious after a while.
  • Ann (annreads)
“We pushed each other to places of aching desperation. And when the stars and moons exploded, lights burst behind my eyelids. Our lives intertwined, indiscernible as mine or his. Tyrrik was mine. And I was his.”Even though it took me nearly four months to finish this book, I glad to say that it was a good ending to a really fun series! My biggest gripe with this series, and the reason why it took me so long to finish it, was the amount of inc...

Where are the romantic scenes? Great series but boy wasIi dissapointed that all bed scenes (including the first time we all have been waiting for) are skipped. And that I one can read how the lay in each other arms. Not what I have been waiting for, after reading page after page. Book 1 of a series should come with a warning label. ‘How amazing this book is. You never going to read how the main couple will be romantic together.’ ?! #dissapoin...

Series ReviewThe series as a whole enjoyable. The cast of characters was interesting and we certainly saw some growth in the main characters. I liked the world building - the Drae and Phaeton, the Wheel and Gemond-there was a lot of creativity there. The series felt weak to me in a couple areas. First, it was fairly predictable. I would have appreciated more twists, and frankly the whole evil parent thing is so rote in this genre. Secondly, I felt...

This was a good seriesI realky liked this series, it was alot of fun. The last book tied up everything and had a good ending. Both authors can write well and I'll be checking out both of the other series they've written.

I love this so damn much! Kamoi you suck man. Ryn kicked ass and Draedyn was STABBED THROUGH THE HEART! BUT HE'S TO LATE BECAUSE HE GIVES DRAE'S A BAD NAME! now I need short stories of Ryan's and Tyrrik's babies please!
  • Cocktails and Books
3.5 CocktailsI didnt like the ending to this series as much as I did the other books. However, still a solid read.
