This is the 28th book in the Argeneau series and Sands is still writing strong original plots that keeps the reader captivated by her storytelling.Jess is trapped into attending a family destination wedding, only to find that she and her (not favorite) cousin have somehow been convinced to take a tourist trap of a pirate ship filled with blood sucking vampires. Jumping overboard, Jess decides to swim for it only to be rescued by an amazingly sexy...

Reading any book in Argeneau series is like dining at a chain restaurant. It is not going to be a gourmet meal but you did not go in looking for one. If you did, that is strictly your problem and you should seriously work on your education/perception of the world. There is comfort and ease to the favorite fast food meal. Most likely it's not particularly nutritious but it's what you needed that moment and it fills your belly for time being and you...

I received an ARC of this title from Edelweiss for an honest review.I'm not sure why I keep reading this series. I've found the past..probably 5 to be ridiculous beyond belief. But still I read. This one is better. It wasn't quite as ridiculous, though I did question the female MC's decisions quite a few times.

Vampires Like It Hot by Lynsay Sands is book 28 in the Argeneau series. This is the story of Raffaele Notte and Jessica 'Jess' Stewart. This can easily be a standalone book for sure. Jess is on the Island for a family's designated wedding. There on the island she gets stuck with a unruly spoiled cousin who ends up getting them on a vampire pirate ship. Raffaele is helping family when they find that there are some immortals using the local humans ...

#28 and I'm still reading this series! Formularic they may be but, damn they are almost always so good!! Interesting characters, funny plots and cool hijink abound. This one has a twist I didn't care to see at first, but Sands opened it up to even more Immortals I'd love to have find their true lifemates. We are headed to the South American region soon and I cant wait to see who kicks butt and takes names there.

Ok, I normally do not grab vampire books and I definitely would not step into a book series at number twenty-eight.... But the blurb grabbed me and I clicked to get it. I was very happy and surprised by how much I enjoyed this book!Jess is trapped in a family destination wedding with her dreaded cousin. After taking a seaquarium trip, her cousin was talked into taking an additional trip to witness shark feeding. The captain has a certain swagger ...

I received this as an arc and OMG i LOVED it! Even though this is book 28 it doesn't feel like torture and that the author is dragging it out just for the sake of money, this book is legit awesome like all the others. The witty one liners in this book are amazing and had me laughing the entire time I read it- especially the nickname that Jess makes up for "hot naked Raff". Raff saved Jess from Vasco and Cristo and repeatedly made sure everything ...

Raffaele is such a caring man, “ of course she’s not all right. Look at her, she’s white as a sheet,” Raffaele growled, and then offered Jess a pained smile and suggested, “Try to take slow and steady breaths, my love. Deep breaths, give your brain a chance to process.” I don't think Raffaele knows how to handle his woman's actions at times, "Raffaele opened his mouth, closed it, and then groaned and leaned his forehead on hers. “Yo...

3.5 starsA long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, this series was actually funny. Now it seems to rely on making a character out and out stewpid for laughs. I skimmed over it when I first got it, and have spent the last day or so (while reading it) mentally ranting. So let's see...our heroine (spineless professional student who can't seem to tell people NO up until near the end) is in Punta Cana for a "destination wedding" (code speak for bridez...

3.5-4 starsThis was a pretty good story. I did like it but I'm not much on love triangles so that dampened my enjoyment a bit.Jess is a bartender and counselor while she goes to school. Jess lost her family early and went into the Foster care system. She experienced some bad crap but did eventually get adopted by a couple that loved her and gave her a good home and extended family. Raffaele is an Architect as well as being in a band and is over 2...

Jess is at an island resort for her cousin’s destination wedding when the bride’s sister drags her on to a pirate ship. Supposedly they were going to go feed sharks. She’s not thrilled to be there and the people on the boat seem to be acting really weird. When she walks in on what looks like a vampire feeding on a man’s private parts she’s horrified. She’s then corralled into the captain’s quarters and pretty much told that the capt...

Before I talk about the book, I just want to say that I love this series. I can't say objectively that these are literary classics in the academic sense, but I will say that it is one of the top series I read just because I've grown so attached to this world and the characters who inhabit it, and this despite the fact that I'm not primarily a romance fan. I used a post my reviews of every Argeneau book on Lynsay Sands website before that forum ex...

Vampires like It Hot by Lynsay Sands is another great adventure. Hot, spicy, and hilarious. The Argeneau vampire family get another fun journey to enjoy. A young woman goes to a foreign tropical island as a wedding retreat with her unlikable cousin. What starts out normal ends up going into a dark and fearful territory.Jess is and her cousin are lured by pirates. Not just actors dressed up as pirates but vampires needing a blood snack. Actual Rating: 3.5 StarsVampires Like It Hot, the 28th book in the famed Argeneau series. Finds Raffaele Notte playing the rather besotted "white knight immortal" to one very interesting damsel in JessicaOpen, adventurous, and very self aware. Jess, as she is called for most of the read; has also managed to become the possible "life mate" to not one, but two immortal beings. One being a rude, crude, slightly greasy, and very persistent "vampirate"...

I need to start by saying that this book is number 28 in the Argeneau  series- I know, long series! I did not realise when I requested this book through Edelweiss. While I feel that I would have benefited from reading the previous books in the series, there was enough information woven through that gave enough back-story to be able to enjoy this book. I really did enjoy this book.Who knew Vampirates was a thing! Well written with sexiness, fant...

I enjoyed Raff and Jess's story. Jess found her self-drawn to two men who were possible lifemates but luckily for Raff, Vasco was vulgar and even though she was drawn to him when he tried to kiss her or touch her but then he would open his mouth and ruin it. So as soon as she had the chance she escaped and then was saved by Raff who also figured out she was a possible life mate. Jess was drawn to him and couldn't stay away he was sweet, caring an...

3.5 starsFast paced and a lot of fun, fans of the Argeneau series will enjoy the latest installment in the series, where immortal Rafe saves a human named Jess from a crew of pirate vampires. I did feel that parts of the story-line was a bit uneven ((view spoiler)[bad guys are a room away & the heroine stops to take a bath; minutes after meeting the good guys, Jess tells them that she was physically, mentally & sexually abused as a child, as if i...

what can I say another hot immortal story by the queen of hot vamp romance!I liked this one! More I think than one of the last few. I mean I love all her books, it's the series.that got me reading vamp romance. This one seems a bit longer and more involved than some of them were and I loved the pirates! So funny! Aye, matey! So, I wasn't expecting Raffaele & Jessica's story to be as emotional as it turned out. They have all the fun, bantery goodness and super steam of our other Immortal couples, but there is a unique twist to their story that brought me to tears. I love the new characters introduced & hope we get to see their stories in the future!! And it was great to see familiar characters, too. Santo... swoon. Beautiful, fun read!! 😍😍😍

A sexy, fun fall read! I've read all the books in this series and have been bored with some of the recent entries but I wasn't bored with this one. Lot's of action, miscommunication and silly situations. I received this ARC from Edelweiss+ for an honest review

A lighthearted humor filled take on immortals. Don’t call them vampires, they take offense to that. If you like steamy scenes in a quick fun read, you’ll enjoy this book.Thank you Avon Romance for an arc of this book.

So, this book seems like a nice bridge between upcoming story arks. Now that the no fangers have been dealt with, we have a new big bad on the prowl and rumblings from South America. All I can say is, I reaaaallly hope Vasco meets Margurite

Ms. Sands has done it again.A vampire book without vampires . Where the heroes are good and the bad guys aren't bad. Where the tension is disrupted by humor. And of course a happy ending.
