#Moonstruck (#Lovestruck #2) by Sariah Wilson

#Moonstruck (#Lovestruck #2)

Over one million “likes”—but only one of them matters. After pop star Ryan De Luna praises Maisy Harrison’s YouTube cover of his classic hit, he offers Maisy and her fledgling band the opportunity of a lifetime: to be his opening act.Music may be Maisy’s life, but she has one ground rule: never date a musician. That goes double for a heartbreaker like Ryan. If only she didn’t feel so vulnerable to his larger-than-life charm. And maybe...

Moonstruck is book two in the Lovestruck series by Sariah Wilson. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Starstruck, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. I won this in a Goodreads giveaway! This is my third book by this author. This is a stand alone. You do not need to have read the first book in this series in order to read this one.Maisy Harrison is the only girl, the youngest with three older, very protective brothers. Maisy is...

#sogood #moonstruck #lunachick #fangirl #maisyandryan4ever #lovestruck #moreplease I was beyond excited when I saw this was up (official release date is July 17 #markyourcalendars) on Netgalley and I patiently #okaynotsopatiently waited to get approved to review it. I adored the first book so my expectations may have been a little high for this one, but just like the first I was sucked right into the story and couldn't put it down. I like that th...

I was ridiculously happy when I was able to download an ARC of this book! I went to bed early so I could read it and ended up staying up until 2:30 am finishing it. I love when I find a book I don't want put down. This felt very similar to Sariah's book #Starstruck (which I loved). While #Starstruck features a movie star #Moonstruck features the lead of a popular band. With sizzling chemistry, whity humor, plenty of bantering and a fun host of sup...

3 starsGetting a chance to meet and banter and fall in love with your favorite musician? YES PLEASE. And did I imagine myself as Maisy and Ryan as Niall Horan? YOU BETTER BELIEVE I DID.I 100% of the time abhor insta-love. It is unrealistic and completely kills any interest I have in the characters. It makes them seem shallow and way too superficial. #Moonstruck is an insta-love of sorts, BUT it is done in a way that is actually believable and not...

I heard so much about this book from my GR friends Julie Carpenter, Kathy * Bookworm Nation, and Aimee (Getting Your Read On) that I went to NetGalley and requested it even though I already had 4 books from them that I had to review and books coming in from my author review teams. #somanybookstoread #imustbecrazyOnce I got the approval email and finished my then current book, I started reading--#OHMYGOSH #didn'twanttoputitdown #superswoony Maisy ...

4.5 starsI knew, from reading the blurb, that this was one story that I was really going to enjoy. And, enjoy it I did. New to me author, Sariah Wilson, really impressed me with the way the story flowed and with the characters that she built. Ryan and Maisy were interesting both together and apart. The only drawback that I had was Maisey and her woe-is-me attitude. There were times in the story that I wondered why Ryan put up with her and her att...

EVERY GIRL'S DREAM - -The rock star notices and it becomes LOVE AT FIRST SITE. This is not the case for Maisy Harrison. Her Dad was a musician and was never there for her or her brothers. Therefore the rules of No Dating a Musician!! Sariah Wilson has a skill of developing a story and characters that become a part of the readers life. Action never let up from beginning to end. YESTERDAY is the name of her and her brothers' band. This seems to be ...

This book had all the yummy elements I look for in a "take me away" romantic book. Fun characters? ✅ Witty banter? ✅ Tension and build up? ✅Great secondary characters? ✅Sizzling chemistry? ✅Humor? ✅I knew I was going to love this book. I love everything Sariah Wilson writes for all the reasons above. The musical aspect in this book had me hooked and led to some very romantic situations! I'm swoony just thinking about it. 😊 If you h...

This was just fun! I was a little worried, second books are hard, especially when the first book was so good. I really planned on not liking it as much so it took me a little bit to get into it. I really enjoyed reading Ryan and Maisy's story. Too real people with real issues. She doesn't make them cookie cutter perfect and that was fun. It is a little unbelievable but in a take you away from reality way not a role your eyes way:} This is for old...

Maisy Harrison has one life rule... never date a musician. She has her father to thank for it. He was too busy being a jerk and making babies to actually care for the kids he already had. She doesn't have any problems keeping that rule. Well... that was until she met the gorgeous, playboy Ryan De Luna. It would be in everyone's best interest to stay far, far away from that man. From the moment Ryan first met Maisy, he knew she was something speci...

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This book was like something I would've wanted to write, it was fun, cute and simply amazing. Ryan De Luna is a famous singer who everyone loves except for Maisy Harrison. They meet when Maisy's friend, Angie gets her backstage in one of his concerts and as soon as they meet they start insulting each other which is why she ends up leaving her phone...

This book had me hooked immediately it was cute and funny. Had bits of banter. I liked how it had some texts in it. I can connect with how Maisy is surrounded by her brothers influence. The way her brothers act about her dating or talking to guys is the exact same as mine do. It really makes me laugh and I connect so well with it. This book is fantastic and such a quick read. I really fell in love with the characters. It is extremely difficult to...

Already when I read #Starstruck I knew this would become a great series – don’t ask me why it was just my gut feeling. #Starstruck and #Moonstruck are the first books I read by this author and if they are indication on the writing style her other books should be equally addictive. She presents well-developed characters and a great story and I loved the developing relationship between the leads. If you are a lover of books, where stars meet an...

I really enjoyed this rock star type of story though it is 100% one sided and we never see or hear Ryan's side of the story. I really felt this story would have been even better with that. But Maisy does a great job of holding the readers attention and I did really enjoy her story. The star of this story is Maisy. She has a bunch of brothers and is a musician herself. She has a best friend who is crazy over rocker Ryan and so they sneak in backsta...

Romance, clean although PG-13 for some intense sensual scenes (nothing explicit, but....)This was an interesting read. Maisy's disdain for singing sensation Ryan DeLuna and their relationship that builds as he books Maisy's band (she and her brothers) to be the opening act for his band is a fun roller coaster ride read that has lovely romance, and heartfelt emotions. S.W. always gets the angst of the age, she always writes the feelings, the stres...

What a delightful book!!! I absolutely loved it! Maisy is a young musician whose absent father is also a musician. As a result, she has made a cardinal rule for herself: never date a musician. Then she meets Ryan, a popular pop star, and begins a fake relationship with him to help his publicity. But then it started to feel real....I loved the characters and their relationships. The author made me feel invested in them and their story, wanted them...

Holy moly I’m dead!!!! That book was so good! I absolutely loved the sarcastic and witty relationship between Maisy and Ryan. Loved the music aspect in this novel and just everything about it made me happy! I definitely need to read the first book in this series. Every single character contributed to the plot and this book was set with a solid pace that did not slow down. Wow I’m still speechless and of course that ending will stay with me fo...

Wow absolutely speechless! I loved everything about this book. Maisy and Ryan’s relationship was so sarcastic and witty at the same time and always made me smile. The ending put a huge smile on my face and I will always be #moonstruck. Loved every single side character in this novel and I definitely have to read the first book in the series!! I’m on the fence so I’m going with 3.5 Stars. This was going pretty well for me. It’s a sweet PG story between two musicians, but then there was a kerfuffle with an ex and it got shot to hell for me. I got super irritated with Maisy and how she reacted towards said kerfuffle. But up until that part, it was a pretty good story. There’s no epilogue so I felt the ending just kinda happened super fast.

I love this trope and I love this author. The combination of the two together is a no brainer. Maisy took me a chapter to warm up to, but I adored Ryan immediately. The kind of sweet book boyfriend we all need in our lives.Highly recommended.

This story is just like a brownie (reference to a part of the book) - sweet, delicious, and leaves you wanting more! As always, the author does a fabulous job of drawing her audience in with engaging characters, a fast-moving plot, and a great sense of humour. I highly recommend it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the early copy. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for giving me an ARC of this book. The review below is entirely my own. This is the 2nd book in Sariah Wilson's #Lovestruck series. And just like the first one, it has a clean, swoony, fairytale vibe to it. I really liked the characters and storyline. And gah, there's a big moment in the book ---- major feels, I'm telling you. I couldn't put my Kindle down. But at one point, I have to say that I almost w...

Sariah Wilson is an expert at chemistry. And while the chemistry is well done and definitely spicy, it's a little too pg-13. I like my chemistry used as an inconspicuous thread subtly enhancing the story. In #Moonstruck the chemistry is more of a front row focus in the narrative than an indirect subplot. And yet it works. The story is sweet with hints of a rags to riches idea. Sariah Wilson gave the character's enough back story to help you empath...

4 1/2 stars. #Adorable is the word for this story! Ryan and Maisy were super adorable and the way their relationship developed had me turning the pages until the wee hours. I couldn't put it down. I also liked Maisy's brothers. Great addition to the cast and storyline. The first in the series was a movie star, this one a rock star. I wonder if the next one will be some kind of an athlete celebrity? It's a great series and I recommend it. Clean ro...

#Moonstruck was such a great story. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. While I'm not a singer and I don't have a rich and famous boyfriend, I did have some take aways from the story. It's so important to forgive yourself and others before you can move on. Anyway, the book was awesome, and well worth the read. I received an ARC and am volunteering to review the book.
