    > 4.5/5Didn't quite love this as much as the first, but it was still yet another fantastic read from one of my favourite authors! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love my little spooky disaster children Cass and Jacob and how invested I am > 4.5/5Didn't quite love this as much as the first, but it was still yet another fantastic read from one of my favourite authors! Anything Victoria Schwab touches turns to instant magic. This made me want to drive to Paris and watch a ghost show or two. Seriously, if I was allowed to only read one author for the rest of my life it would be Schwab, she never disappoints.

    I....need more

I just read this in two hours like the first book, and I enjoyed it even more than the first one! It's pretty simple and a very easy read, being middle grade, but it's such a sweet and gripping story and I love the elements of friendship that are emphasized in this series.

I’m incredibly invested in jacob’s entire storyline and that’s that

4/5 starsImmediate thoughts:I love this series! Schwab tackles MG in such a smart and fun way. These books don’t dumb things down, or shy away from the creepy. In this second book, Paris plays the perfect backdrop to our ghost story. I’ve always wanted to visit the catacombs and Schwab brings them to life in an eerily beautiful way. I didn’t love this one as much as the first, even though it’s a little darker and scarier. It felt a bit li...

I loved this book just as much as I loved the first book. I’m so excited to read the next book, too bad I’ll have to wait for that. Definitely a good YA paranormal book. It’s not very scary so it’s a good read for readers of all ages. I love that the main character is so obsessed with Harry Potter. It’s fun having those little Potter references thrown in here and there. This is a good little series to read around Halloween time.

Full review to come, but I loved this even more than the first book!

This one has a different kind of chilliness in the story and definitely more darker than the first book. Now I want to go back to Paris and visit the Catacombs. Can't wait for the next installment!

Tunnel of Bones was a scarier and incredibly fun sequel to City of Ghosts. In this installment, we follow Cassidy, Jacob and her parents as they arrive in Paris to film new episodes of The Inspecters, a TV show about the world's most haunted cities. And although her parents might be believers, they struggle to believe in Jacob, Cassidy's best friend (a very dead, very real ghost) and Cassidy's secret powers. She can enter the Veil, thanks to ...

A mirror shows us what we know.I am incredibly fortunate to have amazing friends that know what I love to read and send along galleys if and when they come across them. Thank you to Vicki for sending me this book! Time to settle in to some spooky fun. Rants, Raves, and Reviews I don’t read a ton of middle grade books that I didn’t read in childhood. Middle grade horror is apparently the exception, as I think there are some really good thing...

This series keeps getting better and better! Action and adventure on every page. Many twists and turns. Characters are well written and very appealing. I highly recommend it.

I am a fangirl for V.E. Schwab and her work, but there is something very special about her books. And the way that she is able to tell a story -- it's so wonderful. And this one she is able to keep it creepy and intense and for middle graders. It's great.I think this book was especially hard to read right now in the wake of the Notre Dame fire. It had a different weight and a different meaning than when she wrote it. That scene in the cathedral w...

Thank you to Scholastic for sending me a copy of this book, I adored it. This book is officially released on September 5th.I finished City of Ghosts in one sitting and this book was no different. Give me an adventure with Cassidy and Jacob any day and I will take it! These two are a best friend duo, but Jacob is a ghost and Cass can communicate with him and has been told it's her purpose to send ghosts on to the other side. Don't worry, Jacob is ...

4 stars. Very strong follow up to the first book. While I enjoyed the first book and thought it was cute, I have to be honest and say I didn’t have the highest of hopes going into this one. I’m not a MG reader but I can tell this series is just going to get better and better with each book. This book picks up where the first one ends and it’s a whole lot of fun. Cassidy and Jacob are such lovable characters and the things they get themselves...
