My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Vol. 5 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (27–35) of the on-going manga series.Koichi Haimawari as The Crawler and Kazuho Haneyama as PopStep go on tour to spread her talents – her first stop is in Osaka at the Region Idol Collaboration Show. Along the way, they team up with Taishiro Toyomitsu as BMI Hero: Fat Gum and the p0lice to take down a villain along the way...

This volume feels like an in-between two arcs phenomena, but I don't mind, since the Osaka outing in this volume and the upcoming arc is what sold me to Vigilantes as more than just an Aizawa supplement. Also, it features a quick Ingenium I cameo, a few choice appearances from Aizawa, and the introduction of Fat Gum into this series. I love Fat Gum. The more Fat Gum there is in the world, the better.

This felt like a filler/transition volume to me. It was okay, and I can see the growing pains and struggle of certain characters to transition to their new lifestyle, sort of, but I'm still a tiny bit underwhelmed with this series.

This series continues to be enjoyable, but not as good as the mainline series. I like seeing Aizawa and Midnight outside the main series, even if characterization sometimes feels a little off. A fun read, and I will continue it, but I feel more could have been done to wrap up Master's arc or make our other two stepping out on their own feel more earned.

This story continues to be fun. It is interesting to see the characters in this spinoff series deal with the world populated with people with powers. Their experience is so different than the characters in the main My Hero Academia world. These people still have to worry about paying bills and staying out of trouble with the law even when trying to do good. There is just a little bit of cross over of a few characters from the main story that is i...

Great subseriesLove the characters and sub stories we are getting with this series. Want more background on the heroes, with the hope to see a crossover with the main series

Once the old man left it got kind of slow and boring but not too bad, I guess.

Volume 5 of Vigilantes is off to a rough start. The art was fairly decent, but the story was bland and relatively uninteresting.

A very very good manga, with some connections to the main BNHA universe. I really love the characters, and as a matter of fact I am working in a cosplay from The Crawler!

Lotsa action in this one! The old man seems to have hung up his gloves for good, but the instant villain investigation continues.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is slowly becoming super cool. At first I was bothered by the slight change in tone and the emphasis put on female sexuality (and there still is), but as the story has gone on I think it's finally finding it's groove. It helps a lot, to me at least, that the author is starting to integrate characters from the main My Hero Academia story into this. In volume 5 we get cameos from Eraserhead, Midnight and Fatgum, and all...
