  • Carol [Goodreads Addict]
RATING 3.5 STARSBuck Wild is book one in the brand new series, Bennett Boys Ranch by Lauren Landish. Lauren is a new to me author and I chose this book because I have a huge obsession to cowboy romances and thought this would be a great way to introduce myself to this author. I think I’m going to be unpopular when I say that for me, the book was just okay. It didn’t hold my interest the way I wanted it to. And although the sexy times between ...

I have read very few Cowboy romances and I regret that now. Cowboys are sexy! Not only are Cowboys relatively new to me but so is Lauren Landish so I was especially happy to have discovered a new author (to me), Cowboys, and that this is the first book in the Bennett Boys Ranch series. I do love a feisty female character and I got that with Veterinary Intern, Sophie Stone. I liked her character, strength and personality and I really liked the che...

I haven't read too many cowboy romances in my time, however, if they're all as hot as this one, I might just have to change that! Buck Wild was warm, sweet and steamy goodness. It was full of feel goods, low on angst, and had easy to like characters. Although the plot didn't really seem to be going anywhere aside from a bit of drama from a rival family, I still found myself enjoying it and found myself getting lost in the pages. James and Sophi...

Sophie has plans that include the summer interning for the local vet and then off to veterinary school in the fall. Nowhere in her plans is there a place blocked out for a wild bull riding cowboy. But after a rather rough start, she finds herself spending plenty of time with James as he helps out on his family’s ranch until he returns to the rodeo circuit in a few months. Neither are looking for more than a summer fling but sometimes fate has o...

ARC received for review3.5 stars James and his brothers are hot. James comes home from the rodeo circuit after their dad dies. Sophie is in town for the summer working with the local vet before going to vet school in the fall. He's having issues about returning to the circuit and "abandoning" his family and falling in love with someone who will be leaving. She knows she has to go to school, and falling in love was never part of the plan. In the e...

Thank you so much to Thomas Allen and Sons for sending me a review copy of this book. This was a sweetest little romance but also extremely steamy and believable.I loved the characters and their dynamic. I kind of want to meet Momma Lou. She sounds amazing.I can't wait to read more ❤

DNF @ 59%I couldn't get into this book. There were some things I liked in theory, like the brothers and their relationship with their mother, but the execution didn't work for me. But the relationship between the hero and heroine was too easy too quickly, with the frequent sex scenes thrown in willy nilly without enough genuine chemistry. I opened the book this morning to continue reading, saw how much was left, and groaned, which was a sign that...

*5 Stars* ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review. This was my first Lauren Landish book, but it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this one, and loved watching these characters get to know each other. James and Sophie are adorable together.Right from the start, you’re hooked on these two, as their initial meeting is quite interesting. Throw in James awesome family, the fabulous Doc that Sophie works with, and later on in the no...

3.5 stars, 3 heatOh my. *pets the pretty cover*Buck Wild was my first from Landish and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The Gist: Lordy these two got off to an unfortunate start. That hottie cowboy put his boots way in his mouth right quick. But thankfully James did make up for it and proved he was a pretty great guy. A little cheeky and "wild" but good at heart and pretty swoon worthy. And Sophie was a nice heroine. Ambitious and determined. She's a ha...

Cowboy romances are my secret crack, I just love them, there is something about a heart-warming, sexy cowboy falling in love.Buck Wild, is fun, sexy and basically everything we all love in a cute romance. I love Lauren Landish books but to me this one didn't have her normal greatness to it. Don't get me wrong it is a good book and everyone should read it, but it needs more of the passion her books normally have. The story line and characters are great and I loved James and Sophie's story but there was something missing, in my opinion.I voluntarily received and read this copy from Net Galley for an honest review.

Gobsmacked!Gobsmacked is what I felt like reading this book! Ok so I read these book in reverse and it's a good thing I did or I might not have kept reading these! Book three was phenomenal, loved the characters and even the Tannen boys although rough around the edges were still ok. That is not how it was in book one!! Okay. That was a spechottacular Cowboy romance! The Bennett Brothers became fast favorites wrapping their humorous, devoted, strong selves around my heart! What a sensual minefield! The butterflies of emotions the storyline carried throughout, with an abundance of heart, smiles and a little drama thrown into the mix. Made James and his Bull Rider ways always chasing the rush taken on by Sophie, the Vetraniarain intern who is more than he or the re...

James gives his girl the utmost compliments, “eff, Sophie, I don’t think I’ve dry humped a girl since high school. But darn, I don’t think it was that good, even back then.” Sophie likes to sass her man, “you think you’re getting some action after telling me I smell like ****?” There are times James likes to do right by his woman, I’m effing you in a bed like a proper effing gentleman.” I liked this book, I loved James and I c...

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is the first in a new series (although with links - see below). As there are three Bennett boys, we are pretty much guaranteed some more Cowboy fun - well not sure Mark understand the concept of fun, but it will be entertaining seeing him learn! Here we find James home from the bull-riding circuit during the off season, helping out at the family ranch. I loved this story. It was fun, sweet, steamy and romantic all rolled into one. This is the first book I've read by this author and it certainly won't be the last. The plot was simple really with little drama and no angst but it worked!! James and Sophie were adorable. I can't wait to read about Luke and Mark. Highly recommend!

*I received this for from from NetGalley for free in return for an honest review.*I wasn't that much of a fan, to be honest. While it wasn't downright awful, I expected better quality from a romance novel. Written in first person POV from Sophie and James, this read like a YA novel. James(who's supposed to be a badass Alpha man) said the word "totally" way too much for me. In other words, none of the characters seemed to act or talk their age. I ...

3 Stars. I’m usually a fan of Lauren Landish’s but this one fell flat for me. Though I really liked the two main characters the story was just slightly boring and moved at a very slow pace without much happening. Sophie is a Veterinarian student who is interning with a small town doctor for the summer. Her very first ride along is to a farm owned by the Bennett brothers. James is immediately an a$$ to Sophie when he doesn’t believe she can ...

Buck Wild by Lauren Landish a five-star read that will drive you wild. Sophie Stone has definitely got some and she knows what to do with them, she is amazing, and she just knows how to bring the best out of people. She even knows how to put a wild Bennett boy in his place, during one of the scariest moments of her life as well, that’s why I know she has some massive stones. James Bennett may rue the day he ever made a bad comment and hopefully...

Sexy cowboy romance! I love the main characters James and Sophie. James is a sexy and rowdy bull rider. Sophie is a vet intern planning to go to vet school. They are both very mature and drama free. With dual POV, you get a sense of who the they are and their thought process. They both changed each other for the better, bringing out the best in one another. There's minor drama with a neighboring ranch. I would have liked to see a little bit more ...

This is my first book from this author, but I've seen her cover reveals and new releases on Facebook! I was then on Netgalley and saw that the second book in this series was on there and it sounded interesting, so I grabbed a copy of this book and wanted to read it before reading the second book! It’s never a good sign when a book takes me more than three days to read. And this one took me seven. Things this book had going for it:~Excellent, realistic, witty dialogue - James and Sophie were funny together~Fun banter between the brothers - there’s nothing better than watching brothers give each other crap~Open communication between the hero and heroine - there was no being coy or hiding feelings, and once they figured out how they felt...

2.5 stars rounded up to 3 because It's not you, it's me. We all have those times where despite everything seeming to be fine with the book a reader just can't become involved with it..
