The ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This was such a fun read! I didn't know what to expect when I started this one and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The premise was very nice. Eliza, a descendant of Eros, fills in at her family Cupid-for-hire shop and makes couple fall in love. Unfortunately she also accidentally enchants Jake, her mentor!I was sold! The novel is filled with f...

I think the book would have worked better if it was NA, I found some of the characters actions or thoughts childish. The premise was interesting, Cupid's in the modern time era but for me it failed to deliver. It could easily be a small town romance and "we can't be together because you're my supervisor". Friends to lovers is one of my favourite tropes and Eliza and Jake were cute together. I liked that there were a few chapters from his point of ...

I really enjoyed this book. I don't typically read romantic comedies with a paranormal/magical twist, but the cover was so cute that I couldn't resist. I'm glad I did. It was funny and sweet. I liked Eliza a lot, and Jake was a swoon-worthy hero. They were cute together. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

In an alternate world where Cupids are known among the regular humans, Eliza Herman, an Erosian who quit being a Cupid has to become one again to help her family business from going under. Complicating matters is the fact that she accidentally enchants her childhood best friend, crush and current mentor, Jake, which means a sexual-tension filled working relationship at the least, and a new phenomenon where people's enchantments are breaking down....

When Eliza Herman learned that her family Cupid business is in trouble, she had no choice but to help. But her history of mishaps when it comes to her magic worries her. She always enchant the wrong persons, making them in love (and in lust) with her and she did it to Jake too, her childhood friend and crush, and now mentor. But Eliza has a business to save, so she and Jake set rules to keep his arrow-struck desire at bay. But love is maybe stron...

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Crazy Cupid Love enchanted me in the best possible way! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but I surprisingly ended up really enjoying it! I love the quirky slapstick humour. Amanda Heger's writing style is in perfect sync with the quirky and fun world she built. What I love the most about this book is that the author doesn't write exaggerated humourous scenes at...

Rating: 3.5 starsThis is a cute, fun romantic comedy take on the paranormal romance genre. It reminds me a lot of Kristine Grayson's Fates series, only instead of a modern twist on old fairy tales Crazy Cupid Love is about the Descendants of gods and creatures from Greek myth and how they get by in the modern day. It's definitely a refreshing change from the jaded PI/bounty hunter schtick that so many paranormal romances seem to cling to, and is ...

Percy Jackson if it were romance was all I could think while reading and now I notice it is also written on the cover. So there went my perfect starting line.3.5, rounded up for interesting worldbuilding. This is a world similar to ours, it's not that much of dystopia. Except, much to the distress of all other descendants from the Greek myths, people have found out cupids are real, and now they can sell their services. Eliza is also an Erosian but...

NOTE: I received a complimentary eARC of this book from Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.I really thought I was going to like this book. The premise sounded interesting and like nothing I’d read before, and there were some really good sections of the the story but sadly it fell a little short for me. It was ok, but not something I would recommend to friends unfortunately. **WARNI...

I picked up a copy of this book due to the premise. It sounded good and I was ready for a light hearted, funny read. Well the light hearted part was correct but the humor was missing. Eliza is a klutz. I kind of felt bad for her. She had a lot to prove with her family history. Eliza tried her hardest to show she could be a good cupid even if at first she was resistant to the idea. Although, I could understand where she was coming from. Her mother...

This rom com was a little hit and miss for me. There were sections I really enjoyed and LOLd at and then there were parts that I didn't love. The premise is an interesting one but maybe it would have worked better if the characters were younger? Their actions sometimes felt a little immature. I did enjoy it though and will look for more books from this author to try again.

Reviewed on my blog, Becky on Books, on 1/24/19.Such a fun story!I've heard this book billed as "Percy Jackson for romance fans," which is true, but I think an even more accurate description would be a Half-Moon Hollow-type town peopled with the descendants of Greek gods. Like in Molly Harper's books, there's a whole supernatural world going on right under humanity's nose, except for the one group that's been "outed"--in this case, though, it's d...

A cute, unique play on the idea of Cupid and his love-inducing arrows, Crazy Cupid Love was fun to read! It's definitely fantasy-based, but it takes place in a contemporary setting, where the descendants of Cupid drive cars instead of flying around on wings. There's a council of Descendants who regulate their people, and the services of Erosians (descendants of Cupid/Eros) can be bought for a fee. It was fun to see all the different ways they hel...

"Crazy Cupid Love" is such a fantastic romance novel with a mythological twist! Eliza is a descendant of Eros, a.k.a. a Cupid, but she has never really embraced her heritage. She always seems to stumble and have her gift go awry. With some Cupids, they have to draw blood to work their powers (like with the traditional bow and arrows) and make someone fall in temporary love (to be differentiated from the real capital-L Love). Eliza is so powerful ...

Romanceopoly read #6: Magic Row - MC who wields magicReview originally published at Goldilox and the Three Weres and based on a copy provided by the publisher.Crazy Cupid Love is kind of an odd book. Seriously, my first thought when I finished it was, "That was odd." But I don't mean that in a bad way, just that it's hard to categorize. The cover blurb mentions Percy Jackson, which is not the right vibe at all. Really the only similarity is that ...

A cute book about Descendants more specifically Descendants of Eros. Eliza Herman comes from a family of Cupids. She is the absolute worst cupid in the world. She accidentally enchants people all the time from the greeting card aisle to playground classmates at a young age to her parents throughout her childhood. When the family business Herman and Herman, a matchmaking company is in dire straights Eliza steps up to help out. A new law states tha...

I loved this book. It really is like Percy Jackson for adults. This book is hilarious, thought provoking and abruptly romantic. Eliza is a whirlwind of good intention and disaster, which is a recipe for humor if done right, and Amanda Heger did it right folks. Romance is ripe in Eliza's life, alongside tragedy and hope. She deals with it as well as anyone can expect, with as much grace and wisdom as she can muster. Then comes Jake, Eliza's childh...

Reviewed at Keeper BookshelfI had such fun with “Crazy Cupid Love” that it should be illegal. In a world where the paranormal isn’t unusual, where deities (at least some) are out in the open interacting with the humans around them, this story was a fun treat.“Crazy Cupid Love” intertwines paranormal, romance, rom-com, friends to lovers trope and a mystery to solve in a unique fashion. This book was about Eliza, who has the world’s worst luck, and Jake, who is a family friend. Both are descendants of Eros. Eliza is a trainee cupid and Jake is her mentor. Eliza discovers that she is a very powerful cupid and she is madly in love with Jake and had been since she was a kid. It was an interesting story. It was a quick read that had me laughing. The best was the government department A.S.S. Some of the stunts that she pulls with Ja...

A bit twee for my tastes, but an interesting setup for romance readers who love a good dose of mythology. This is a friends to lovers fantasy/paranormal romance with a beta hero. However, there are some pacing issues and the book definitely has two distinct parts. The first half is hero and heroine development and the second half is a mystery portion. I think I preferred the second half, simply because it had more oomph.Goodreads lists this as par...

Eliza is a lousy Cupid. Yep. She's got rotten aim with her arrow, for one thing. One big thing! Jake, her mentor, has some thoughts on the subject, especially when she hits him by mistake. This is a fluffy light romance with some moments where you'll smile, if not chuckle. It's not deep and you know how it's going to end but it's a worthwhile read, especially when you need something fun. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Crazy Cupid Love by Amanda Heger is the first in a new series. Main characters, Eliza and Jake had me hooked from page one. I alternately laughed out loud and groaned at the Cupid adventures they get into. The off-the-wall premise with a touch of suspense makes the story that much richer and keeps pages turning quickly. Heger has created a fun new world that I can’t wait to revisit. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
